They are pretty busy for a Saturday afternoon around 3pm to my surprise. Our server is kinda snappy like she has too many tables at the moment. We had a craving for pizza and the Mellow Mushroom was close to our hotel. After a day of driving, we wanted something close. We are so happy we found this place. We started with a Greek salad. We split a small one and that was a good amount. It was full of lots of fresh veggies including peppers, cucumbers, mushrooms, tomatoes and Kalamata olives. It was a little skimpy on the tomatoes but the generous portion of Kalamata olives made it forgivable. Next we had 5 naked wings (no sauce). They came out steaming and were nice and crispy. Lots of veggies as a side. Finally, we got a small pizza with pepperoni and black olives. Again, served so hot. I loved the hand tossed crust. Very good. Our service was excellent. Best happy hour in town on tap beer plus a pizza that you can always take half of them to eat later that evening or for lunch the next day..... light sauce, heavy sauce, no onions, sautéed onions, it's cooked exactly like you want you just have to say light or heavy on the Cook time. I called The Mellow Mushroom Daphne near Lowe's and ask if they had GF DF pizza and they said yes!! I was nearby so I pulled in to see that they are celebrating their 50th anniversary! Wow!! I ordered and it was delectable. I got it with tomatoe sauce, vegan cheese, mushrooms ( mellow of course) and caramelized onions. My only complaint is that there always seems to be an up charge for gluten free and dairy free stuff, but that's the same everywhere. The restaurant was clean. The service was cheerful. Sadly my past go to potato pizza is no longer on the menu...but I quickly got over it when I tried the Merry Prankster. Holy cow it was amazing. The crust was firm enough to hold the pizza but also soft and not too chewy. The herb aioli mixed with the veggies and meat for a perfect flavor. We started with the buffalo wings and there were 5 scrawny wings but tasty too little for $10. We decided to share a steak and cheese calzone and it was huge and tasted great. We then shared a brownie, it didn't have nuts, but it had chunks of fudge so for me it was too rich. We sat there without tea because the bartender found other duties behind the bar to do but she eventually came around. The family went to the Daphne location. It was very busy. Our daughter and grandson had to park across the street as the parking lot was full. Our server was very polite and helpful. We ordered the kids 1st. My husband had the pumpkin beer. It was served in a glass goblet with sugar and cinnamon on the rim. Looked really nice. He liked it so much he had 2. I had the pretzel bites with spicy cheese. The Foley location spicy cheese was far much better. There wasn't any spice except for a single slice of pickled jalapeño. It still tasted good though. My husband absolutely loved his pizza. The kids cheese pizza was devoured very quickly by the kids. The sundae and chocolate brownie was also eaten very quickly. While wondering through the area I saw a sign for this place and figured I would check it out. From the outside it is a very typical looking restaurant, with a cool looking floating granite sphere. I side is very different, and I didn't really know what to expect out of the food. I didn't know what to order, so I depend on the waitress, which was more than willing to recommend something. We ended up getting the house pizza, which is pretty much every vegetable they have, and some other goodies. I was not let down by that. To pair with this I tried to the Lemon Submarine, which was perfect for summer. I would absolutely recommend this place to others. read more

She was friendly and checked in with us a couple of times to make sure we had everything we needed. The pretzel bites came out fast and were absolutely delicious. Their marinara and beer cheese sauce is sooo good. Twenty minutes after our appetizer, our pizza, calzones, and burger came out. I think we got our food so quickly because we came after the lunch rush around 2pm. The pizza and calzones were a hit. The price was $28 for this, which seemed a bit high (this is the price for a premium large pizza back in Washington). When I picked up, the food was ready to go, and the employee was very friendly. I asked about the Yelp check-in offer, but I was very disappointed it was not honored (free small salad with a check-in on the app). Yelp check-in offers benefit businesses by helping get more people in the door, and when a user checks in on Yelp, they are later prompted to write a review. I liked the pizza and toppings were tasty, but it definitely did not look like a thin crust. Perhaps a mistake? My parents ended up scraping toppings off the crust, so I felt bad about that. Finally got around to trying this place. Overall I was pretty impressed. The ingredients seemed fresh and quality, and you can build any type of pizza you want. There are so many options that anyone could find a combination that suited them. The Spinach salad we got had caramelized pecans, apples, cherries, feta, and a delicious vinaigrette. Mellow...what are you doing?! I have been coming to this location forever, sometimes several times a week, and absolutely love the food. However, the new "management" needs some attention. Who IS this Michael guy and where did he even come from? :-( We have always sat at the bar or one of the bar tables. The number one reason: GWEN! Not only is she the best bartender, she is also the best server in the restaurant. Trust me, we learned that the hard way. I am not saying there aren't other servers who are okay but they pale in comparison. Recently, we have been pretty disappointed when trying to get seated in Gwen's section. We have been told she no longer serves the tables in the area and once were told she wasn't working that night...when we could very clearly SEE her behind the bar. :-( Like I said, we have been coming here forever and have watched her wait on the entire bar (15 seats) and ALL of the surrounding tables (6) with no issues hundreds of times. There are people who come here just for her. The regulars, locals. Now we are being lied to about her working? We have left a few times, along with several others, because we couldn't be waited on by her EVEN THOUGH there were tables available in the bar area that was once her area. If anyone paid attention, they would notice how many people are in her section versus the rest of the restaurant at any given point. Why is this happening and why is it only happening during the week, yet not happening on the weekends when other people are working? Don't think people aren't noticing! Not only are they noticing but they are talking about it...A LOT. You might want to rethink the "new" structure because it isn't working, your locals aren't happy, and eventually we will all find somewhere that appreciates our patronage and loyalty. I also appreciate how family friendly the layout and servers are. One thing I can say about MM is everything is always cooked FRESH. I have never received a cold item, you literally have to wait for it to cool off. The pretzel bites and beer cheese are one dreamy appetizer. I just love the soft baked doughy balls of goodness dipped into that magical beer cheese. YUM! The RB margarita will get you all tingly and giddy. It's SO good. Not super sweet or fake tasting. They also now let you order half and half pies!! We tried two we have shamefully never had before. Half Maui Wowie and The Hey Dude. Well my little human was acting crazy so we got it to go. As soon as we got home I took a bite of both and loved both of them!! Spicy, flavorful, still warm... Not sure where we wanted to go for lunch and decided on MM. allow me to share the pizza was delicious and the salad very fresh. Now let me share that you need to plan on a long lunch with no rush. Nothing comes in a speedy manner. Not our waitress, not our drinks, no check ups on our meal and, it took almost 10 minutes to get a box for left overs, get a check and I'm still waiting for my card to come back.
