Very good meal this evening and very convenient to the Hampton Inn. Friendly staff and delicious food. I went with the pick 2 platter of fried oysters and grilled shrimp with a side salad and a serving of deviled egg potato salad. Nice size serving. Definitely recommend

Daphne location too busy so Wazed it here. Hard to find, so busy downtown area but worth it! Food delicious & quick. Easy to have conversations. Wait staff friendly & helpful! Taking dessert to Go!!

A favorite restaurant on the Eastern Shore! My husband and I enjoyed lunch today at MBTB. My husband had the Market salad and added fried chicken. I enjoyed my favorite on the menu, fried fish sandwich with onion rings. Of course, we had to end our meal with the most delicious banana pudding. Don't skip desserts as they are all awesome!!

My honey chose this place for her Mother's Day make up. Blackened redfish & shrimp, not fancy but darn good seafood!!

Market By The Bay, is a locally owned and operated  popular seafood restaurant that's has been serving the local community since 1996. I have been seeing lots of nice comments on locals sites and we chose to try it today.  With a warm and inviting atmosphere that's casual and relaxed, with a nautical theme. The outdoor patio is also a good spot to enjoy your  meal while taking in the scenery of Mobile Bay.  Their menu features a good variety of fresh local  seafood dishes, including their famous Po' Boy sandwiches, Fish Tacos, and Low Country Boil along with fresh catch specials, crab claws and cakes, gumbo, and more .They also offer a good selection of non-seafood options, such as burgers and salads, boudin egg rolls 12 hr smoked pork with some nice sides. I started my order today with hushpuppies and queso and those puppies were amazing. There's specialty cocktails, wines, and both domestic and local beers, too. But don't forget to check out their crazy good desserts that include some special Key Lime Pie Cheesecake, Strawberry White Chocolate Cheesecake, which I got both for take home but their Banana Pudding is a must try!  We shared fried shrimp, blackened redfish, and blackened shrimp that is some of the very best I've had in the region. It all came out hot, fresh, perfectly cooked and the salad and sides were all spot on.  Bottom line: Market By The Bay is a must-visit restaurant in Daphne, AL, offering a delightful dining experience with delicious seafood dishes, a charming atmosphere, and friendly service. (Nikki was very welcoming and attentive) I will definitely return, and I highly recommend it!!  They do not offer a veterans discount but veterans just need to tell them when you sit down and they'll bring you a complimentary cup of gumbo, nice touch.  Hours: * Tuesday - Thursday: 11:00 am - 8:00 pm * Friday - Saturday: 11:00 am - 9:00 pm * Sunday: 11:00 am - 7:00 pm Checkout their website: https://www.marketbythebay.com/ for more information about their menu, events, and catering services.   Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/MarketByTheBayDaphne/ will keep you up-to-date on their latest news and offerings.

I stopped over to see the place again. Wasn't much of a crowd so I was in and out pretty quick. The staff was super friendly, the location was clean and functional for eat in or take out. I was taking out. I missed the dish I wanted, was only offered on a different night. They offer various drinks, desserts and seasonings for take home. I ordered a poboy and it was so good. The fish was crisp and so tasty. Keep it up!

Traveling and decided to try this place. Absolutely wonderful service and food, save room for the dessert options!! Very chill place with some amble parking around the building. They got busy while we were here and the food and service were still great! I got the shrimp poyboy with gumbo - delicious! Family loved the oyster and shrimp poyboy, fried okra is fresh and amazing! Boudin egg rolls are a must try with the jelly. Too late to take a pic, the food was too good to worry about that!!! Tried the peanut butter pie, key lime mousse pie, and strawberry cheese cake pie- recommend them all!!

They made my world traveling Granddaughter a huge grilled cheese sandwich with some tasty tater tots..

We have never had anything bad here....fried flounder, fried shrimp, fried oysters, GUMBO and the desserts are gigantic. They have a bar on the other side of the restaurant for those who wish to indulge. The restaurant is kind of small but that doesn't seem to stop people from flocking to the door. The waitresses are extremely friendly and engaging as well as knowledgeable about the menu. I hope they still have a seat for us whenever we stop in...we love you all!

It is convenient to both the locals who call Daphne, Alabama home and the travelers cruising down Interstate 10. The Fresh Market is a supermarket geared more towards a higher end experience, more of a food destination type foodie-driven kind of place and their prices reflect that (although they will run sales). The meat department is good, as is the deli. Their Market things have some items you might not find in supermarkets like Publix or Winn-Dixie. All in all, I would recommend a visit here.

Here in Alabama as a Hurricane Ida evacuee, I decided to buy some Rao's pasta sauce on sale. Yeah, I was making big mama spaghetti at the hotel lol. I like tomato basil as it's excellent for lasagna and penne pasta dishes. Bolognese, Italian sausage, mushroom & bell pepper and Italian sausage & mushroom are my favs. Haven't tried the vodka sauce yet but I will. I normally make my tomato sauce from scratch like in The Godfather but I was pressed for time lol. So, this store has a ton of organic and fresh food products. Their meat department has friendly employees willing to help you with any questions about the enormous display of meats & seafood and if you need need fresh cuts of meats, they got you. I love that they still have butchers in this supermarket. I also love that there's a mix of meats like crab cakes, stuffed pork chops, tempura shrimp, stuffed duck and salmon burgers. Oh and the deli is also desirous with all sorts of pre-made lunches and dinners. Everything looked so tantalizing The store is a bit pricey but I love the variety of foods offered and great quality items. Reminds me of Kings Supermarket in Garden City, NY. So, for the reason of my visit: Rao's was only $5.99 and I bought 20 jars...yeah, it's just that amazing plus it's like $9.00+ a jar at other local grocers. This is the only store that regularly has it for $5.99. Oh and I'm a tea connoisseur and they keep a large variety of that as well as coffee. Needless to say, I'm a new fan and currently visit the St. Charles' store regularly. Try them, you'll be hooked.

The ambiance is nice and cozy. But we always sat in a booth. Sitting at a table indoors next to the back door, I looked around in confusion. At first it felt like someone kicking the back of the seat like on a flight. But then I was trying to move the table and check the chairs, maybe it was an earthquake from the New Madrid fault line. But like a typical NOLA raised home, it was just a hard floor and heavy footsteps. I'll know better next time. But Sundays from 12-3pm is the time to be there. Having to wait for parking was about the hardest part.

Our waitress friendly and bubbly was there quickly to take our drink order. She checked on us frequenly. We started with the Boudreaux's egg rolls, they were awesome great texture crispy outside and soft avacado inside with a lot of flavor and great dipping sauce. Next I had the shrimp creole, with a substitute of side for gumbo. Both were very tasty and prepared perfectly, she had the black and bleu salad, the steak was very tasty and bleu cheese, well its bleu cheese and good bleu cheese. Last, we ordered an order of beignet's they were pretty good, a little on the heavy / dense side. The place was a little on the quiet side tonight despite the dining area being pretty full. One thing worth noting, we have noticed on our last two visits here the servers not clearing plates from the table when a persons is obviously finished eating either by the plate being pushed to the side or the universal silverware placement indicating, I am done eating. This time I had to ask her to clear the table before she brought anything else to the table. She was happy to do it, so maybe this timely removal of plates is not obvious, nor has it been explained/ taught by anyone. Service is important, this falls under the basics, if you are headed to the kitchen, do not go empty handed. Just a thought to improve the level of service. We will return.
