Let me start by saying--these crawfish do NOT play! If I had a sinus infection, it would've been…read morecured on the spot. The spice was bold, intense, and full of that signature Gulf Coast flavor. Last year, I proudly named Mudbugs my pick for the Best Crawfish in Mobile, and to be fair, they're still holding it down when it comes to juiciness, flavor, and size this season. That said, I have to talk about quality and cleanliness. I pulled way too much seagrass out of my bag, and I had five straight tails (if you know, you know)--which usually means they were dead before boiling. For this price point and reputation, I expect better attention to detail. My Breakdown: * Flavor & Size: 5/5 * Cleanliness & Quality: 2/5 Still love the flavor and the heat, but consistency matters. I'll definitely be back--but I'm hoping next time I won't have to sort through seaweed and dead crawfish.

Our query for a seafood restaurant led us here, and at first glance almost decided to leave. The seating was minimal and we had to walk up to the counter to order. While waiting, we realized it is primarily a seafood market and take-out orders for cooked food were the main business. But the reviews were great, so we gave it a try. We were amazed at the quality and quantity of food we got. An order of crab claws and shrimp came with over 40 claws and about ten shrimp, all fried to perfection with the best tasting breading ever! The atmosphere was like old time New Orleans, on the wrong side of the tracks. But relax your snobbish standards a bit, and enjoy your seafood the way it is meant to be served!

The Crab Claws were delicious and big with an amazing taste!!! The Crab Cluster was massive, and comes with Corn, Sausage and Potatoes. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

It's pretty bare bones inside (two small tables and a handful of chairs), but the staff was friendly and helpful. I settled on a fried fish and shrimp combo, with fries, and everything was delicious. The breading had just the right kick of garlic, and the fries were seasoned, as well. It was hard not to eat everything on the car ride home. Portion sizes were pretty generous- three good sized fish filets and ?7 jumbo shrimp (I ate a few on the ride and didn't count the tails afterwards... sorry!). Plus the fries and two petite hush puppies. Easily the best food I had during my weekend in Mobile.
