I got regular level of spiciness and it was plenty spicy so I don't need to know what it tastes like if you order it extra spicy. Not only that, but their shrimp is freshly fried and tastes fresh and from the gulf. And the okra was hot and freshly fried too. Delicious meal. Some of the freshest crawfish I have had all season and they were seasoned to perfection. The turkey neck by far was the best turkey neck I have ever had. One word: TERRIBLE! This place has declined considerably over the years. The customer service is lackluster. The food is trash. Disappointing and dissatisfying are understatements. The food quality is NOT the same. There is absolutely no love in the food anymore. I've tried both the fried and steamed and have been disappointed by both. It breaks my heart because I LOVED this place. Could barely find a parking space in the lot. Was willing to illegally park to get in! Not anymore. Don't let the name fool you. I received several referrals to this place and was pleased with variety of fresh seafood options. The counter space is shared with a display of seafood on ice, and options for fried or steamed meals on signage above. I was thoroughly impressed with the display of Dungeness crabs, snow crabs, shrimp and crawfish. I chose a fried platter, because oysters were not offered on the steamed options and I was at lunch and didn't want to have to deal with the mess of crab legs. The oyster/crab claws were the perfect selection, and added a side of sautéed mushrooms. Various seasonings were available to add to the meal and selected a garlic butter to go along with the Cajun seasoning that was part of the meal. I was pleased with my selections, but did need to add hot sauce to get just a bit more flavor. The mushrooms in a buttery garlic sauce stole the day! I truly enjoyed them and when we turn solely for them. Also enjoy the decor and general ambience of the place. Tried this gem today, this is a staple for the area. I had the fried fish and crab claws. The service was very good. And it was a decent wait. The music that was playing was very nice and not too loud. The drinks were good too. Overall the food was good, and hot! Everything is cooked fresh and they call you when the food is ready. Wow, this place is amazing. First of all the customer service from all three women that we talked to was perfect. When I asked the ladies name that helped us we were told everyone calls her Mama. She was so nice and helpful. Since we have never been here she helped guide us with the menu. She said the 3 pound box of crawfish would be enough for my son. It comes with potatoes, corn and sausage. My hubby ordered a shrimp Po Boy and they were nice enough to steam tilapia for me. Janie was cleaning up the dining room and gave a cute pose. Spicy, but not that 'burn your lips off and need chapstick ASAP' spicy. Nah, this is the good spicy. Everything was cooked to perfection. Wait time was about 15 minutes, which was worth it. As for the facility: They have everything organized so well. Roped off line area guides you to the menu and then to the register to order and pay, and everything flows seamlessly. They have a small waiting area where several benches are spaced accordingly for social distancing while you wait for your food to cook. They also have a dine-in area, but I got our food to go, so I didn't venture into that part of the building. Staff was all wearing masks. I can't wait to get more. They did not have crawfish at the time we went, but was told that they should be getting them in within the next few weeks. All of the staff was very friendly! We decided to split the #2 with Royal Reds which was plenty of food for two people. The meal came out hot with everything tasting fresh. This time I was done with my day's responsibilities early enough to get dinner from here and all I can say is wow. I opted for the crawfish po' boy, which came with a choice of french fries or fried okra (I opted for the french fries) and hush puppies. Let me say that the portions are big and as for the quality, superb. My only complaint is that their tartar sauce comes in little disposable packets. Come on, do it homemade. Since crawfish isn't in season I opted for the #11 which included 1/2 lb snow crab,1/2lb shrimp, 1 corn,1 long sausage, and few small potatoes all lightly Cajun seasoned soaked in butter in the box. The gumbo I ordered was flavorful and savory with Cajun seasoning, shrimp and okra with a light gravy like roux. Everything tasted so frrrreeesh and at a reasonable price. Ordered some steamed mudbugs aka crawfish for a lunch snack while I visited my family in Mobile. The order came with potatoes and corn. We had 4 people eating them. Not sure why we decided on 6lbs as we had a lot left over. But I can't complain. They were delicious and ate way more than I thought I would! The crawfish were seasoned perfectly for me. The potatoes and corn were a little too spicy, but that's coming from a spice baby. Everyone else enjoyed the sides. Will go back next time I'm in town for sure! read more

Been here more than 5 times the last two times I got shrimp that don't peel over cooked . Staff was great. Service was great too.

If you want to keep prices down for a steam boil, this is a good option but the food wasn't that great. We ordered 2lbs of crawfish and the flavor was good but the crawfish was overcooked, along with the potatoes and corn. Also got the 1/2 lb shrimp and 1/2 crab claws and again, everything was overcooked. I'd imagine they just have a giant pot of food ready to go in the back, thus understanding why it's overcooked. If cooked to order, wouldn't have that issue. Shrimp, crawfish, and crab legs weren't the freshest so one pieces weren't edible. Got 2 stars for the price but wouldn't get again. read more

Excellent seafood! Everything is so fresh. You see the seafood on breeds of ice as this is also a seafood market. Had the shrimp poboy. The shrimp were falling out of the large 6" FRESH French bread. They had the perfect amount of breading and tasted like they had just bit pulled from the bay. I had the fried okra that was also incredible. My husband had French fries that were perfectly cooked.
