This is the best seafood market in Mobile, Alabama. The Shrimp Prices and quality are unsurpassed by any other company in the city. $6.99 per pound for large jumbo shrimp. They will charge you $1.00 per pound to cook the shrimp. If you added $2.00 you will have 2 sides and 1 lb cooked Shrimp for under $10.00!!! If you are staying at any of the Hotels at Tillmans Corner you can walk there in under 4 minutes. You can have a whole pound of large Shrimp, Corn on the Cob, and boiled Potatoes to take back to your Hotel Room for Under $10.00!!! This market is owned by the Vietnamese. They are supplied by a Fleet of boats out of Bayou la Batre. Everything is fresh at all times. They also have the best beer prices in the cooler right there. I will buy Shrimp nowhere else. No. Don't even think about it. Just keep driving until you find an alternative. Giving up is also acceptable in this situation. We stopped in on our way through town hoping to pick up some fresh gulf seafood to pack on dry ice and take home with us to the sadly land-locked Kansas City. The store stinks, and not in a "we sell fish so it's understandable" kind of way. More like a "there's something rotting and it might be in the a/c duct" kind of way. I'm also pretty sure I heard a dog bark from the back room. Hello, health codes anyone? On a Thursday at 11 am they had shrimp in a couple of different sizes and they looked pretty good, but that's the only positive point I can find. They also had fresh whole sole and two kinds of frozen filets. They could not tell me when any of it was caught, including the shrimp. We also found, on the largely empty shelves, a bottle of tabasco sauce with a cap that could only be described as filth-packed. It expired early last year. That stuff keeps forever, was it bottled in the 80's? Needless to say, we walked out. I can buy frozen fish at home and at least it has an expiration date on it. read more

I thought I might get some fresh seafood, specifically fresh fish, but all they carry is frozen fish. Was the fish that was frozen previously fresh? I have no idea. When I asked if they had any fresh, they told me they always freeze the fish because it gets slimy if they don't. I kid you not. To be fair, I believe if you want crawfish, you'll probably do okay, but don't come here for fresh fish. read more

I've been coming here for years. I drive from Ft. Walton Beach. These are the cleanest crawfish, need very little purging. My order has always been ready when I call ahead. Their price beats everyone in town. It isn't a sit down restaurant, so don't expect that. It is a seafood restaurant in the middle of lots of shopping area. They have some of the best spicy crawfish in Mobile. It is just the right amount of spicy not to overwhelm your taste. The corn too has a good kick. The guys are very helpful and friendly. Use to be a good place. They have a new man working very rude. I went in there today they want 4:20 a pound for live crawfish ridiculous. I've spent over a thousand dollars in that store since April when I moved here. They won't be getting anymore of my buiesness. Explains why there's zero customers in there at 12:30 pm. I've only been here twice and I loved both times!!! The cooked crawfish are just wonderful. They put the exact amount of spice needed and it makes them taste so savory and spicy. They have live crawfish and a lot more varieties of seafood. I walked in and walked out within 5 minutes. While I was paying, they had already put the crawfish in the back of my truck. They have great service and reasonable prices. I certainly recommend this place. read more
