What a great place. They always have very fresh tasty food. Our breakfast hit the spot. I love the bacon and onion jam, which they serve on the side. Just pour it over everything, then add on the ORGANIC (very upscale) maple syrup. The whole pace is this really cute house with a wonderful atmosphere just like you were eating at someone's house. This little restaurant was a nice surprise in Daphne. My husband ordered a club sandwich, although to me it wasn't a "true" club, it was tasty, but what he loved was his side of greens. I ordered a fried chicken plate and happily paid the 75 cents surcharge for white meat?!! My only complaint was that it was only one piece of chicken and I was still a little hungry when I left. If they offer you pickles...say yes! Those were SO good! This is a cute little place. The moment we walked in, they said, "we don't recognize you, where are y'all from?" We could tell everyone seemed to know everyone which meant we had stumbled into a great local favorite. Everyone in our group loved their southern dishes - chicken pot pie, biscuits and gravy, waffles, catfish and grits, and more! Three of us had the peach cobbler while another had coconut cream pie and berry cobbler. It was all super delicious. The waitress and owner were real sweet in answering all our questions, even describing how they can ship those yummy pickles all over the country. Y'all just come here . First the food: the biscuits are STUNNING! fluffy with crispy crust. I added CF Steak to mine and it came with a side of pepper gravy. Wow. Ok random DoorDash on a Sunday morning. Scrolled thru looking for a southern breakfast. Landed here. Ordered biscuits and gravy, with the egg breakfast. The gravy was hot and not clumpy at all, I had anticipated it would be due to it having to be delivered. The eggs were normal scrambled eggs, all good. The grits and cheese were tasty and perfect consistency Let's end with the OH MY GAHWSH biscuits! I've been on the west coast for 20 years and have been looking for that "place" that reminds me of my southern days. THIS IS IT! Was crunchy yet soft. sweet yet fluffy. Tasty and fairly reasonably priced! I had the caramel French Toast pictured and it was great. The bacon, eggs and fruit all seemed to incorporate high quality ingredients and perfect cook. My daughter had fried fish and grits smothered in a creole gravy along with toast and homemade blackberry jam. She said it was fantastic. Only downside was the chill in the air. Located in an old home turned restaurant, we were seated in one of the dining areas and quickly waited on to get beverages and order our meal. Cute cafe in a historic home. This was our second time visiting. We had breakfast and were very pleased. Good quality ingredients which made for a delicious meal. Welp, i had the caramel drenched French toast meal. The french toast was basically the star of the dish as it should. It was served with grits but they were an epic fail. I had a major lump among the little lumps in the grits, they had absolutely no flavor at all. I tried adding salt, but there was no saving the grits so i left them alone entirely. The sausage was a good pair to the toast. I just wish the patties were actually hot. They felt as if they were sitting under a warm light...not fresh. I did have a fruit medley which was pretty good. Unfortunately, i didnt get a chance to try the blue berries since the cup fell off my plate. Note to self:take the cup off the plate before diving in lol. The ambiance was okay... kind of didn't like sitting next to three space heaters, but it is a dated house concept. I love the outside ambience. Took my husband here for breakfast for Father's Day. He had the waffles. I have to say I have never ever had anything to eat here that disappointed me and I'm picky. Wow! I just had an incredible breakfast! It was just my adult nephew and me - no pics, sorry. It was simple - 2 waters and 2 entrees. He chose the Shrimp and Grits. I went for the chicken and waffles with the bacon onion jam fresh whipped cream and maple syrup. He woofed his down and proclaimed it to be awesome. It looked beautiful before he inhaled it. Chicken & Waffles=DIVINE Just perfect in every way. The texture and consistency of the waffle was spot-on. The chicken could not have been more yummy (perhaps a little tang in the batter to offset the sweetness of the accoutrements). That jam is to die for. They sell their jams (made in-shop) and I will be picking up a jar of their backberry jam along with the bacon onion. I may buy a few - what a yummy gift! The lunch menu looks diverse enough to satisfy all eaters. They also offer casseroles for pick-up (I will be researching that soon). Our service was great (it helps to have a handsome young man at the table). Food delivery took about 15 minutes, but it was all fresh out of the kitchen. Our service yesterday morning for my father's birthday was way below par. We tried your restaurant a long time ago, and decided to return because of your promising menu. It left much to be desired, to say the least. There were clear angry expressions between everyone who worked there with each other, and failed to provide my mother with a yogurt breakfast. However, the biggest complaint was the "breakfast" sandwich, with provided absolutely zero seasoned eggs, and old, massive pieces of ham that made my father and I very sick during the night. I suggest you all get your stuff together as a team and a more watchful eye on the food you serve. Friendly faces!! Fun quirky atmosphere! I had the tuna salad on a croissant. It was just right! The tuna was albacore and yummy! Just the right amount of seasoning! Also also got the cucumbers and tomatoes and onion salad as a side. So good! Not too sweet, not too vinegary! This was nothing like the first time I was at this cafe. My husband hadn't been there and I loved it the first time so there you go. Service was fantastic, she was very attentive and accommodating. I ordered the sausage and egg casserole with grits, biscuit and apple jelly. My husband ordered the shrimp and grits with tomato gravy. Unfortunately my casserole was very salty so I sent it back. The grits were ok but the biscuit was fluffy and delicious. I didn't care for the apple butter jelly. On the other hand my husband liked his shrimp and grits with the tomato gravy, and loved the apple jelly. I didn't get anything else to replace what I didn't eat, I just ate my breakfast and got strawberry jelly and it was very good! The menu was small and the cafe is a house and very cozy. Food is good. Hubby and I ordered the classic breakfast today with eggs, bacon, biscuit and hash brown casserole. Coffee is good. Sunday brunch is varied.
