Tomato gravy with conecuh sausage over a biscuit

Conecuh sausage tomato gravy over a biscuit. Don't comment unless you tried it. Better than grandmas. So good.

If they offer you pickles...say yes! Those were SO good! This is a cute little place. The moment we walked in, they said, "we don't recognize you, where are y'all from?" We could tell everyone seemed to know everyone which meant we had stumbled into a great local favorite. Everyone in our group loved their southern dishes - chicken pot pie, biscuits and gravy, waffles, catfish and grits, and more! Three of us had the peach cobbler while another had coconut cream pie and berry cobbler. It was all super delicious. The waitress and owner were real sweet in answering all our questions, even describing how they can ship those yummy pickles all over the country. Excellent food, spectacular service, and a memorable spot. So glad we discovered it!

Tasty and fairly reasonably priced! I had the caramel French Toast pictured and it was great. The bacon, eggs and fruit all seemed to incorporate high quality ingredients and perfect cook. My daughter had fried fish and grits smothered in a creole gravy along with toast and homemade blackberry jam. She said it was fantastic. Only downside was the chill in the air. If I go back, I'll ask them to turn up the heat. Service was nice and attentive.

My husband and I decided to try the Sugar Kettle Cafe for breakfast today. Located in an old home turned restaurant, we were seated in one of the dining areas and quickly waited on to get beverages and order our meal. I enjoyed the waffle with sausage and my husband had an omelette with a biscuit. The food was displayed beautifully on the plate and delicious. Our only complaint was our food was not hot.

This was a great find- while in the area my friend and I played YELP roulette-- typed in "lunch" near me while driving and it took us here! What a great find and delicious lunch - like going to grandmas house for Sunday lunch - they happened to have tomato pie - and I got the last slice of coconut pie- check out my photos - and get there !

Caramel Drenched French Toast: Super bland grits, warm patties... but flavorful everything else.

Welp, i had the caramel drenched French toast meal. The french toast was basically the star of the dish as it should. It was served with grits but they were an epic fail. I had a major lump among the little lumps in the grits, they had absolutely no flavor at all. I tried adding salt, but there was no saving the grits so i left them alone entirely. The sausage was a good pair to the toast. I just wish the patties were actually hot. They felt as if they were sitting under a warm light...not fresh. I did have a fruit medley which was pretty good. Unfortunately, i didnt get a chance to try the blue berries since the cup fell off my plate. Note to self:take the cup off the plate before diving in lol. The ambiance was okay... kind of didn't like sitting next to three space heaters, but it is a dated house concept. I love the outside ambience. They should definitely update the inside just a little to give the inside the feel of the outside appearance.

    The front has outdoor seating.

We found this restaurant online and it looked cute and sounded good. This cafe does not disappoint. Quaint comfortable atmosphere, friendly staff(Missy was great) and the food was top notch

Wonderful service and the food is amazing. The Sausage Casserole with a biscuit and homemade jelly is the way to go.

Nice place to grab a sandwich or a quick meal for lunch. Service was good. Interesting story on how this place came to be.

Love the "home comfort food". This was the first restaurant I went to after moving here almost 10 years ago from Ridgeland, MS.

The food (French toast/chicken & waffles) was excellent. Regular syrup instead of "pepper jelly"…read morewould have been fine. Our server was very nice and accommodating. The ambiance is nice and cozy. But we always sat in a booth. Sitting at a table indoors next to the back door, I looked around in confusion. At first it felt like someone kicking the back of the seat like on a flight. But then I was trying to move the table and check the chairs, maybe it was an earthquake from the New Madrid fault line. But like a typical NOLA raised home, it was just a hard floor and heavy footsteps. I'll know better next time. But Sundays from 12-3pm is the time to be there. Having to wait for parking was about the hardest part.

We started with Boudreaux's eggrolls appetizer, they were pretty good, and cooked very well, the dipping sauce made the egg rolls. Next she got the crab and spinach bisque, I had a side salad with blue cheese dressing. Both were very tasty. Next she had grilled salmon with veggies and mash potatos, I had the blackend redfish topped Crawfish Etouffee w/ Rice & sautéed Vegetables redfish. Both meals were tasty, full of flavor and cooked perfectly. When we arrived at 615 it was pretty empty and quiet but by the time we left most tables were full and a vibrant scene. Chelsea and the stunning view made the evening. We will of course return.
