We visited today because the bacon is always amazing and I had an email today 3 free pancakes per table and who could resist free pancakes! First I had the Blueberry Lavender Refresher and let me tell you, this could make me a mocktail holic!!! If you only came here for this you would not be disappointed. I had the blueberry lime pancakes and they were delicious along with the scrambled egg cooked to perfection. My friend had the chicken red chili chilaquiles and he said it was excellent. Our waitress Maddie was magnificent: beautiful smile with dimples, positive attitude, knowledgeable about the menu, suggested the "city grits" which were delicious, gave me a Vegetarian Menu which I needed! Went there for brunch while in town visiting family. Food was not good, drinks were not good, and service was terrible.

My wife and I returned this past weekend, Saturday, more specifically. Again I used their online waitlist, and was informed that the wait would be at least 45 minutes. We arrived 20 minutes after I joined the waitlist, and so expected to wait at least another 25 minutes. Downtown Fairhope was bustling that afternoon, with nearly every parking space taken. So we were surprised upon arrival to find the restaurant half full, and no waiting for a table. The hostess was friendly, but the waitress took her sweet time introducing herself. In fact, after waiting a good 10 minutes, the hostess reappeared and assured us that the waitress would be along soon. She must have gone off to locate her, because the waitress appeared within 2 minutes after the hostess spoke to us. We had used the time waiting to peruse the menu and make our selections, which we gave to the waitress straight away. Our dishes, both extraordinarily good omelets arrived within minutes, the Supreme Omelet for myself, and the Mardi Gras Omelet for my wife. We savored every bite, and vowed once again to return to try yet another couple of items from their menu. The only thing I found disappointing about our meal was the coffee. It was served lukewarm warm with a taste much like a day old, reheated pot. I had previously found the coffee to be acceptable, few places seem to get it brewed right, and judging by what we were served that day, it appears this establishment has joined the ranks of poor coffee makers. Maybe next time I will try a mocktail instead. Also, I suppose I will give up on using their online waitlist. It seems to be of no benefit. read more

I ordered the half BLT&A and the bacon was super hard I couldn't bite through it on the sandwich. I love bacon though and dang it- I ate it!! Waitress said she'd bring out the toast that came with the soup but then made excuses for not bringing it and asking if I still wanted it to which it felt like we were negotiating. Yes! I want the toast! It's okay if you forgot- just say, "I'm on it and will get that fixed asap!" The food is good, it really is. The portion size for an $18 eggs and focaccia is not amazing, but the fresh fruit was nice. The $12.99 lunch duo is probably the most affordable deal - just keep in mind not a huge amount of food if really hungry. But the service this particular visit and the cleanliness is lacking in such a cool location. Sunday Blessings to all. *News flash* PSA Management needs to stop walking around and help expedite food ready to be served to waiting customers. I love soft scrambled eggs, who doesn't? What I dislike is getting served cold food that I ordered. Thus my initial comment about management helping to run food from the kitchen once it's prepared. Ideally that is taught in Mgmnt 101 courses. I like this location and I know I will be back. It's very unfortunate the City of Mobile doesn't have Another Broken Egg within its city limits. We come here with my MIL when we are visiting. The service is always good. The building is nice with southern charm. I wish there were more smaller dishes for those of us with small appetites. I didn't see an ala carte menu. For a southern restaurant they cannot make good grits. Today I got the potatoes instead and they are not good either. I think they are a precut food service product, not from fresh potatoes. They are dry and definitely not worth eating, nor the calories. My spinach scramble dish was very good though. If I could have ordered just that I would have. Other people in the party got the cinnamon roll French toast and said it was really good. MIL did not like the seasoning in the sausage. I tried it and didn't particularly care for it. Not sure what it is but it's not a traditional breakfast sausage. I love that you can reserve your name on the waitlist for a table online that way you're not sitting inside the restaurant waiting anxiously for a table. We were seated shortly after we arrived. Our waiter Justin was phenomenal. He was attentive and built a great rapport with us as customers. He gave us their options and helped us make a selection while ordering. We started out with a pitcher of lemon and blueberry mimosas that were extra delicious. I ordered the lobster and Brie omelette with a side of fruit. My husband got the New Orleans scramble, the orange and fig pancakes, sausage Pattie's and over easy eggs. We also had beignet biscuits before our food arrived. Everything was absolutely delicious. The menu is super versatile with lots of sweet and savory options. They have many southern brunch favorites including omelets, eggs Benedict, chicken and waffles, and pancakes, but their best dish is hands down their French toast--which they have multiple different options/flavors. The service is usually quite friendly and done in a timely manner.
