Our favorite meal to share is the All Star Breakfast menu item. Terri was our amazing waitress today. She was friendly and attentive to our dining experience.

Ordering with the sweetest server ever!

The parental units suggested this location as it is their preferred spot. The staff seemed to be very cohesive, and our server was such a sweetheart. (Her tats are awesome) She took our order, laced with humor, because frankly, the hubs and I are a mess, and checked back frequently to check on us. We live 1200 miles away, but I believe should we find our way back here, we will revisit. Food was good. Bacon was crispy. Tea was hot! What more could a girl.on the road ask for?

Folks... it's a Waffle House! No frills or fancy was, just pure Waffle House goodness. My meal is always the same. But this location did it right. The waffle and hash browns were cooked perfectly. The coffee was that perfect WH coffee that always tastes spot on. But overall- the staff was friendly and the place was clean. Perfect for that next morning mediation.

For real y'all - Waffle House is one of my most favorite restaurants. It's the place my parents used to stop on our way home to visit family when I was a child. It's the place I took my kids on our family night every Friday night (and then to Blockbuster to rent a movie). It's one of many places Anthony Bourdain dined in an episode of his show. Colt Ford even sings a song about it "Now I'm scattered, smothered and happy to be free." Everyone loves the Waffle House, right? I've been ordering the same thing for as long as I can recall - cheese and eggs breakfast with hash browns, raisin toast and sausage. Every now and again I'll change it up a bit and get the bacon lovers BLT with a bowl of Bert's chili. I'm sure I've had their burger and other dishes at some point, but the scrambled eggs with cheese are my favorite. The hubs doesn't share my adoration for this place, but he obliges most of the time. He gets different things and always enjoys it. The boys love the waffles and omelettes. Really, you can't go wrong there if you're not afraid of greasy food. Waffle House restaurants seem to have the same quality of food and service across the board, and this location is no different. The prices are super cheap. The hubs and I can eat here for between $20-$25. For some reason, I like this one better than the other two that are closer to my house. I can't explain why.

Upon arriving we noticed the big parking lot, good location, and when we walked in we were greeted immediately. Inside was nicely decorated, dimly lit, and clean. We promptly got sat on a Sunday afternoon, and quickly got served water, got our drink orders, and food orders put in. The brunch menu is from 12-3, with mimosas and bloody Maria's. The bloody was really nice - could tell it had tequila! Old fashion was nice not overly Smokey. Onto the food, the tamales were some of the best I've had. They were HUGE. They came with birria, great consume, flavorful poblano rice, delicious poblano and corn cream (something of that nature) was so creamy and was GREAT. I couldn't believe how hot and fresh everything was. It was some of the best Mexican I've had. My husband enjoyed his chicken as well - it was tender and juicy, good char on the pineapple too. The portions were huge and we didn't eat it all. Good thing we didn't, the chef gave us complimentary dessert (ice cream because we're gluten free)! It was our first time and we'd love to go back. Everything looked and sounded great. Good margarita options, the flight was ordered by the table next to us! The overall cost for us two, although not the worst, but definitely not a cheap brunch was $110 with tip. Hot sauce was $2.50 on the side. A nice treat with friendly staff and good food, but not if you're looking to save some money.

Other subsequent customers had to wait as well. The place is very dark inside with the theme of a jungle of plastic plants hanging overhead. There appeared to be a few real plants, but it was too dark to confirm that. The food is tasty, but overpriced for what you get. We had the feeling the money is being spent on the decor or the lease on the building rather than the food. The potential is there for a better deal without the hype. It's a "been there done that " place for me.

We went for the first time the day after they opened. They were slammed and they provided great service, really doing a great job with the volume of people that were there. The second visit was several weeks later and the service seemed to have slipped, even with it being much less busy - they were busy, just nothing like opening weekend. The food was solid, but if you have ever read any of my reviews, you know I like food that is supposed to be hot to be hot. That just was not the case. Here's the thing. You order at the counter, and food is brought to you. Food was being prepped and then sitting with no heat source for a while in many cases - you could see when the food was ready to be picked up. I wanted to just try the biscuit, so after we were all done eating I ordered a single biscuit. It took 28 minutes, in a biscuit restaurant - one single biscuit. When it came to me (finally) there was no butter or spread on the side. I asked for both and I believe they only had one jelly option. That is also very confusing to me. Seems like you would have a variety of really cool jams and jellies. They have some interesting biscuit concepts, but when you spend $100 for 6 people to eat biscuits and 5 of them are in high school, you really need to deliver on your concept. It is a great concept and I am sure the location will execute. I would note that since the closing of Ed's Seafood Shed on the hill in Spanish Fort, this is the only other good option for breakfast besides Chick-Fil-A and Waffle House.

Our server Randy was so very nice and spoke professionally to us. Pancakes is the best at Cracker Barrel for me. I got hot vanilla latte but it was lightly warm and tasteful. Biscuits and cornbread came out for the table, 2 of each. The food was great as usual and we both took some home for later. I was disappointed that they don't serve fried chicken except on Sunday. Service was happy and efficient as well. My reason for 4 stars is pricing seems to have increased dramatically since our last visit which was sometime ago. Our lunch with an above average tip for service was $63.00 which did include a dessert to go. Also no fried chicken. We will return and eat here again when in the area. Keep up the good work Cracker Barrel. Lastly my serving of collard greens was very small. I almost asked for more.
