Came here at 4:00am currently on our way back to a vacation. The place is empty but meanwhile there are a minimum of 4 employees in sight. As we walk in 2 of the employees are making food while the other 2 are sitting and eating. One of the manager stands up to tell us that they are currently not serving food... not serving food? At a place that serves food for 24hrs?! I get people need breaks but does the whole staff need to break all at the same time. Not to mention half of the tables were covered in food and dirty dishes. Absolute garbaaaaaaaage. Food is garbage, staff talks about jail and doesn't even notice when customers are waiting for 15 minutes to order and then another 15 minutes just to bring coffee. This is cypress, not the hood, if you want real tips then step your customer service up and definitely step the cooking game up. The bacon literally crumbled in my hands. While I've always loved Waffle House, I don't recommend the location on 14201 Mueschke in Cypress, TX if you like good service. I walked in with my family, & sat down on a day that had only two parties--my group and a party of two that was already underway eating. Another family of three walks in a few minutes later and they got their order taken and drinks served. No one came to serve us as we sat, and I kept checking my watch because I had to get my kids to school. I just wanted to make sure they had a good breakfast before going to school. They knew we came in because I asked them where they kept the high chairs. We just picked up and left. On a day where a restaurant is not busy and staff is just standing around, I cannot understand why a potential customer can't get service. That observation likely explains why the parking lot of the Waffle House at this location is empty because I seldom recalled costing a Waffle House that wasn't busy. We got up and walked out, drove over to the Cracker Barrel next door, and in an amazing 10 minutes, we were seated, orders taken, and all served our food. read more

Don't come to this one. 1. My order was all wrong 2. They don't wear gloves 3. Coffee tasted weak, probably decaf 4. They are all 17-20 years of age, they were always playing 5. I'm going to give it a two star because the food was good,but I felt in and awkward position the whole time I was there due to the 19-20 year old white girl that was an Waffle House member talking to her boyfriend the whole time my husband and I were there. It wasn't just them talking that bothered me it was how she was talking to him and how her body language was towards him. First let me start off by saying, I don't eat Waffle House. It's always nasty and dirty and their employees don't wear gloves while cooking.. Same case tonight with an additional sprinkle ghetto as the cashier was vaping with a house full of ppl WHILE she was cooking.. The two female employees were going back and forth about how one didn't need to be there, she could have been left as today was her off day. In the middle of all the unexpected freeze, this was the only thing open. I work at a near by hospital and needed to feed about 20 of us as we were over eating hospital food!! I got there and there were 20 ppl in line to order, I guess they sent everyone home from lunch. Standing in line I was told that there was 6 ppl cooking. Tonight it was only 3; the vapor, the guy who's chin wore his face mask and the "not supposed to be here" lady. So I finally make it up to the cashier to order only to be told that the place needed to close down so that it could be cleaned. He took our numbers so that he could call us to take our orders over the phone. When I asked him how long this would take, he said he didn't have an answer for me. BS for don't expect us to call you.. which they never did. You are the only thing opened in this area for at least a 3 mile radius. I wasted 2 hours in line only to be kicked out and lied to. As were the other 15 ppl behind me. Waffle House is trash and always has been. This just proves my point time and time again. read more

I have been to this Waffle House numerous times. Some of the wait staff are much better than others. The food is pretty good. What drives me crazy is the extra loud Kyle box they have. This is the second time I ate here. The first time, my orders were not coming out correctly, and finally after telling them repeatedly that we needed to get going we paid. They gave us waffles to go, and they were STILL the wrong ones. I went back with my sister today. Got a new waitress, who was very nice and trying hard. To make sure she ordered things correctly, she had her trainer double check her ticket, and all was well (this is as it should be and we have no complaints against the new girl and her trainer, both of whom were very apologetic about our experience.) When the food came out, my sister's hashbrowns were practically raw, and she couldn't eat them. My hashbrowns came not cooked as well as I asked for and covered with cheese - both times the problem was not the server, but the cooks. I told the waitress it was wrong, and she was mortified, poor lady, and I explained she wrote my order correctly, it was the cook that messed up. The two cooks, one was named "BMAT" and we didn't get the other cook's name... as well as the other two waitresses "Kris" and "Danielle" proceeded to be very snotty and mocking and spent the rest of our visit mimicking and mocking us, and was joined in by the apparent manager of the shift, as she was the oldest, and carrying a clip board. They continued to mock us as we sat in the car and called corporate offices. To be honest, it was the worst restaurant experience I have had, and will never return to that waffle house. Shame on management and staff for treating paying customers this way - and people like this are what fuels the opposition to fair pay for service industry workers. You should always do your best and not mock people. My sister never wants to go to any waffle house ever because of this treatment. As a final note - when I finally got my second order of hashbrowns they were cooked well but had onions - which I didn't want. If you can't hack being a line cook, please find another line of employment. Perhaps bagging groceries. The first time it was a little understandable - it was slammed. The 1 & 2 star ratings confuse me cuz I have been here at minimum 25 times and I have never had a bad experience. It is loud but its small and they are calling out service orders and such. The staff has always been super friendly and I have gotten to know the regulars. One time my order wasn't exactly how I wanted it. The lady said I know thats not right we are gonna fix it. I really like waffle house and have eaten at many of them from houston to Atlanta. The food was good as expected from a waffle house and my low rating is purely due to the very poor service i revived at this one. It was not busy. It was the wait staff that ignored us and didn't bring our food out. Some food came and i had to wait at the register for no less than 5 minutes to get someone's attention to ask for the two misting waffles and bacon. Still the staff was unpleasant with us. read more

Pros: Parking good. Not very busy so ample space in a really small restaurant. Food was good and tasty. Cons: it took forever to start getting our food. What do I mean, well me and my husbands food literally came out in pieces every 5 to 10 min. First his hashbrowns, then 5min later my sandwhich. 10 min later jelly. 5min later his eggs and grits. 5 min later he got his sausage (he had to ask for it) and then a few minutes later he got his waffle which had literally been sitting by the grill getting cold the entire time. There were employees everywhere looking very busy but it is unacceptable to bring out a table's food in pieces because you are not paying attention enough to make sure you bring out the complete order. Side note. We were seated right next to the cashier so i could hear all the to-go orders being called in.
