Waffle House will always have me as a customer! An All Star breakfast hates to see me coming. I also get the meat lovers pork meal. It comes with 3 porks chops, eggs and hash browns with toast. The Porkchops are cooked to perfection. Trust me and eat them with A1. I'd like to mention that Waffle House absolutely sucks for no longer allowing call ins. Especially since they didn't put everything online for you to order!!! They still manage to get me in and out in about 10-15 minutes so no complaints. The staff on Sherwood is awesome. read more

What do you do when you enter Waffle House Territory? You hit up the WH! We don't have them in San Antonio and while we are getting one closer we had to hit the House while in Baton Rouge. It was Waffle House clean, with Waffle House Service and Waffle House food. Which, is pretty damn good. OMG! I've been to quite a few of these restaurants, but I have to admit this one is the THE ONE hands down! Hehe! Every single employee visible welcomed us as we entered the restaurant. The cook went back to work as we were being seated and he started singing. We ordered and the atmosphere never changed regardless to who came and went. We enjoyed some grits, bacon, an omelet and some hash browns. Everything was prepared exactly the way we ordered. Our server was a delight. She made sure to give us time to order and enjoy our food without being too pushy. Her presence was perfect. We left with full bellies and plenty of money to continue our day.... Look guys. The Waffle House by very definition is a greasy spoon. If you don't know what to expect when dining here, lemme enlighten you... It's plate-sized waffles, butter, hash browns that are " scattered, smothered, and covered," bacon, burgers, and all that greasy, delicious, artery-cloggin' yumminess your trainer and cardiologist warn you about. It's strong coffee and sweet tea. It's clean enough and the service is quick, friendly, and efficient. It's NOT cloth napkins, mimosas, and eggs Benedict. It's still Insta-worthy food that's cheap and served with a smile. Most times, that's all you need. This location is no different. We ordered take-out that was just as hot and tasty as if we had eaten at the counter. It was also served with a friendly greeting, it was cheap, fast, and hit the spot. I admit that I am a Waffle House fan. I've been to many many locations and I usually love it. That doesn't really apply to this particular location. On our last visit we were the only customers in the place and somehow the waitress still managed to get our order wrong and treat us like we were a burden and interrupting her break. The food is the same you get at any other Waffle House, so I really can't complain about that. I live pretty near to this location so it's convenient, but because it's so bad, we rarely visit this one. read more

"Don't expect out-of-this-world waffles"! One would think that an establishment with the word "waffle" in it would specialize in waffles! Ummmm... not even close! What is the world was that? Unbelievably filthy where is the health department when you need them? Fridge door left open (see photo) counter on both sides of me filthy with food (see photos) debris, eggshells,syrup, salt and other assorted nasties I wouldn't call mine clean but at least it wasn't obviously littered with food waste. I was there for 20 minutes and no one even wipe down the counter they just left all the food Debris, and sticky syrup all over it. Trash all over the floor the waffle irons look like they hadn't been cleaned in a week (see the picture). Naturally took then more than one try to do it over medium egg and I got my order in bits and pieces so my food got cold while I waited for my entire breakfast. Possibly the worst waffle house in United States the filth was unbelievable. I've seen cleaner restrooms in a truck stop. I'll pass on this place next time..... It's nasty on the inside. Ceiling leaking every wear , with buckets to catch the rain water .The servers are very nice though, I must say.There is a major lack of communication in here between the waitresses and the cooks. There were 4 of us. All of our food came out separately. I received mine last, by the time I received it, everyone had finished eating. They also left off an important part of my bacon chicken sandwich, the BACON! I had to wait almost 10 minutes to get it! So needless to say, I won't be back. read more

Simply put, this Waffle House is Terrible. It took 10 min before anyone took our drink order. We were one of two party's eating at the time. I never received the coffee I ordered but waitress still tried to charge me. My waffle was burnt. Waitress didn't bother apologizing. Hash browns had a burnt piece of paper in them. Food is cooked very badly. The place is filthy and the some of the staff are constantly screwing up foods and even my own order and other's as well. Seeing the way they cook and comparing them to how other Waffle Houses do, this by far is the WORST I've been to. Take my advice and don't even step-foot on this place. After reading other reviews I consider myself lucky that we were refused service at this location. As soon as we came through the door the woman behind the counter stated that it would be over 30 minutes before she could wait on us. As we were leaving, a large party of people (only two of us) entered, sat down, and she began to laugh and talk with them. We watched from our vehicle in the parking lot and she was definitely waiting on them. We took our business, money and 20% tip elsewhere. read more
