Cheese grits

Great food. Great staff. One of my favorite quick breakfast food options. I hope they expand one day because there's not much seating inside.

French Toast Slider

I went in to grab breakfast I got the French Toast melt with an orange juice. The customer service was great. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door and I grabbed a menu and took a seat until I was ready to order. There was no rush. The inside is really cute and cozy. My food was hot and fresh and the wait wasn't too long either. The only thing I didn't care for much was the berry sauce the banana was overpowering that's about it. Other than that I really enjoyed my food and I will be back again.

Food was absolutely delicious. Lemonade and orange juice are both homemade - try them mixed together as suggested. Servers were very friendly and accommodating. The strip mall location is on the small side so i wouldn't want to go with a big crowd. Definitely will return when Im back in town.

Country Bowl w/ half hash and grits

Saw this spot on TikTok, has to check it out. Brought my Mom with me. As soon as we pulled up the amazing smell on bacon was in the air. It's a small diner with southern charm. We were immediately greeted and handed menus. Order our food and coffee. Food and coffee followed shortly after. The French toast was AMAZING! Not too sweet or soggy. The bowl was good, the hash was a little salty. The grits, which I'm very particular about, were perfectly cooked!! All and all I will be back!

The prices are low. The French toast sandwich is amazing! You can't eat it with your hands because of the powdered sugar. The caramel cold brew was also delicious, I wish I had ordered a large. This place has friendly staff. Don't expect a fancy interior though.

Country bowl over hashbrowns and add cheese

WOW! We finally made it to get brunch from fork n spoon and I wish we had done it sooner. There was a ton of people sitting inside so we opted for take out! It was very quick and the workers were friendly. We got the berries n cream French toast, country bowl with hashbrowns and add cheese, and a side of the loaded grits. Everything was SO good. The French toast was the perfect level of sweetness and tasted great. The country bowl was seasoned super well and the gravy on top was amazing. My favorite was the loaded grits. Definitely the best grits I've ever had! You get a lot of food so even later in the day when we reheated the food to finish, it was all still good. We will definitely be coming back and I can't wait to try more things!

On today's foodie adventure I tried out the #keithlee reviewed @forknspoonbr! It's only open a few hours starting at 7a-2p and had about 6-8 tables I think. Get there early bc they will have a steady stream of customers but mainly to go orders. We arrived about 10am and were served timely and the staff was great. The coffee is on the house with an order, thank you! The staff is very courteous and engaging while you wait but that's good ole southern hospitality as well : Fork n Spoon - Brightside Dr Baton Rouge, La : Braised Beef Grits The food was seasoned well and is shareable portion wise. I wasn't able to finish a quarter of it but enjoyed each bite. It was a bit warm inside of the restaurant which was not as comfortable as I would've liked but the food was the main star of the show for sure. #travel #foodie #foodreviews #instadaily #foodie #solotravel #braisedbeef #Grits #coffee #friends #Louisiana #batonrouge #batonrougelouisiana #batonrougefoodies #blogger #browngirlbloggers #brownskingirls #travelgram #traveling #travelingtheworld #enjoyinglife #livinglife #freedom #southerngal #southernhospitality

Fork N Spoon, 1750 Brightside Dr Suite F, Baton Rouge, LA 70820 Hey, I heard @keith_lee125 was in Baton Rouge last year, so I had to check out this place. The food was amazing, so comforting! It's super small, but the flavors are HUGE! 1. Berries N Cream French Toast ($9): 2 pieces of French toast, maple cream cheese, berry reduction & berries. 2. Maple Melt ($10): Toast, double cheddar, sausage, bacon (SO GOOD!) 3. Classic Bowl X Fork'n Favorite: Bacon, sausage & cheesy scramble. #tonylameats #batonrougela #forknspoonbr #breakfast #brunch #foodie #foodadventure

The food at Fork and Spoon was truly delicious--especially the Classic Bowl, which was creamy, well-seasoned, and deeply satisfying. The staff were kind, and I appreciated the effort in a very busy setting. However, the space was extremely tight, and as someone in a wheelchair, I found it difficult to move without feeling like I was disrupting the flow of the room. While I recognize my circumstances, I also value comfort and ease during a dining experience. For that reason, despite the great flavors, I'm not sure I would return. I hope to see them grow into a larger space one day--they deserve it.

Lemonade and Arnold Palmer

Fork N spoon is a quaint Café with excellent customer service and delicious food. I went for breakfast. The vibe was peaceful, and the lemonade was homemade... W00t!!!! I was a little doubtful when I drove up, but after my first sip of the Rose Palmer and my first bite of loaded hashbrowns I was sold. Run don't walk to this restaurant!

Breakfast burrito and side sausage

New fave breakfast spot in BR! We have been disappointed in several breakfast spots around this city, so it is with great pleasure that we finally tried Fork N Spoon! The breakfast burrito was stuffed with fluffy eggs and yummy bacon, and the side sausage patties were great. The hash browns and grits were tasty as well. The portions were generous and the prices are reasonable. I'm sure we will be back when we crave good breakfast again!

Do they offer egg-white options?

Is this restaurant good for groups? I'm interested in going this weekend with a group of friends (me and six other people)!

We tend to be very crowded on weekends, as our dine in space is limited to 20 seats. If you get here right when we open (at 9) we should be able to accommodate 7! Otherwise, it would be difficult to arrange a 7-top.… Read more

We were able to be seated as walk-ins on Presidents Day morning, although the place was absolutely packed. The service here was warm and the food came out moderately quick. This place feels like one of those higher end casual spots, definitely a step above IHOP, but not quite First Watch. We ordered a bunch of things so we'll break it down one by one: Pancakes with bacon - a bit of a letdown. Pancakes had no real flavor and the bacon was good, not great. Beignets - pretty good. Better than some we've had for sure, a nice sweet and doughy treat. French toast bites - very delicious. Came with a nice, sweet dipping sauce that really brought it home. Fried catfish & grits - hit and a miss. The catfish was delicious and lightly battered, the grits were very heavy and buttery which didn't go well with the catfish. It does also come with a biscuit that was light and buttery. Creamy vanilla iced coffee - good. Nothing too special, definitely better than a chain like Starbucks, that's for sure. It had a nice sweetness to it. Altogether, Ruby Slipper is a decent breakfast spot. Nothing we ate really hit it out of the park, but we were satisfied with our meal. It really seems like a local favorite spot and one that feels convenient to hit coming and going from NOLA. If you're looking for quick, convenient, and moderately cheap, this is the spot you're searching for.

Instead, I was trying to meet a friend for lunch and he was so late that we couldn't get in where were trying to go. I saw the sign and off we went to Simple Joe Cafe. Simple, it is. Awesome food, it also is. This place is not fancy nor is it meant to be. This is a solidly Americana type menu and ordering at the counter, serving your own coffee, and picking your own table kind of place. AKA - the kind of place I love. I have been here a few times now and only had breakfast. Hint: they serve it all day. The two meat omelet is a great choice and has been my go-to. The other day some friends got burgers and a club sandwich and those looked great too. This will definitely be in the rotation for lunch.
