Little place in College Town that is delicious! Saw it featured in 225 magazine and had to try it. We got the Maple Melt and Avocado Toast. Divine! Staff is very friendly. Parking lot is SUPER SMALL as well as the restaurant itself, but is a fantastic brunch place. read more

I wanted to wait until my second visit before my review but honestly nothing had changed-- this place is just that good. The atmosphere is very cozy and welcoming. Classic mom & pop vibe as well as extremely clean. The owner and her family are so kind (I can't stress this enough). During both visits, she has been more than willing to walk me through the menu and gave me recommendations based on the mood I was in. It's a small place so it does get packed quickly on peak days. They offer complimentary water and Community coffee for all guests! But trust me when I saw that their cold brew is one of the best I've had to date. I was skeptical because I am a coffee addict and was worried about the flavor but WOAH! Perfect balance between strong coffee flavor, right amount of sweetness, & cream. I added vanilla and caramel flavoring but I bet it's good by itself. GET THIS! On to the food: The photos are a mix between both visits but I was pleased with everything I ordered. The breakfast bagel really sold me when they told me it has garlic aioli on it ugh yes!!! Everything taste homemade & made with love. For example... the eggs!!! I am also a egg fanatic when not obsessing over coffee and I was shocked that I didn't even look to add any salt or pepper to my eggs...you can eat it right away because they already come with seasoning/flavor (NOT season all, actually seasoned properly) I have fallen so deeply in love with this place. Review disclaimer: I have not eaten here. I wanted to because I've heard GREAT things. However, with all the good things I've heard about the food, no one mentioned that the place was the size of a walk-in closet. Went at 10:30am on a Saturday and there was no seat anywhere and no order to the way the place was run. If they get a bigger place and some solid management, I might try again. read more

Found this place when searching for breakfast places along I10. Small breakfast/lunch place catering to LSU student population. 8 tables for 16 people. Order at counter, they bring to table. Ordered eggs with bacon and French toast. Food was good and service was quick. Good coffee too, which was complimentary. If I was ready to stop for breakfast while traveling from TX to FL, I would come again. Don't be deceived by the small restaurant. Food is good!! Went to check out the Keith Lee approved breakfast spot and I was a little disappointed. I had the classic grit bowl and slice of French toast and I wish it showed on the menu that the sausage was spicy cause not everyone likes spice like that. I probably had 3 bites of that so that was a waist of money for me but the French toast was good. So if I did decide to go back next time I'm in town for work I'd get the French toast and eggs. Staff is super friendly as well and love that the coffee is free. read more

First, let me say how helpful and kind the ladies working here are. I'd come back just because of that. Now, onto the food...my husband got the steak and eggs with grits and the best fresh orange juice he's ever had. He loved it all. The steak was cooked perfectly, his eggs were perfection and the grits can't be beat. We also had the plain buttered toast because it looked so good and it was. I wish it would've been cooked a little lighter and would've been brought out while it was hot, but either way, still very good. We also tried the maple bacon berry toast...phenomenal! Finally, I got the country bowl and added cheese to my eggs. It was very good and flavorful. However, the grits are so good they really just deserve to be eaten alone. It's a super cute little spot with limited seating, but very welcoming. We can't wait to come back and try other things. read more

This was a little hidden gem. I had the veggie bowl half grits/half potatoes and add the braised beef. One of the most flavorful breakfasts I have had in a while. We come to Baton Rouge every summer and I will be back for that bowl. The staff were very friendly and helpful. 10/10. read more

First time here. We were in from Lafayette for a birthday party. I had the avocado toast. It was delish. Hubby had a grits bowl. He loved his as well. And the coffee is complimentary. Such a cute place. It's a place I would come to eat and just be able to read a book and mind my business. And to me those are the best places. I had zero idea what to get. The menu has such a good variety. The owner guided me to the loaded avocado toast and I got a side of hasbrowns. I got one piece of toast wondering if I was going to be hungry after. Came to Baton Rouge to visit my son and his fiancé! Fork N Spoon came highly recommended place where all the locals eat. Very close to LSU and easy to get to. The food was amazing, had the Classic bowl and changed it up a little with half grits and half hash browns and added a little sausage gravy!!!! YUM!! Fork N Spoon has to be the most adorable breakfast spot I've been to in BR. I went this morning and instantly fell in love upon walking in the door. The aesthetic atmosphere, friendly employees, and delicious breakfast put the place over the top for me. Pretty good! Very simple, not really any ambiance, but: substantial amount of excellent food for an extremely reasonable price. I got the toast and gravy with sausage and eggs, and it was yummy. I would have preferred a smaller portion ONLY because the eggs and grits were a little overwhelmed by the gravy, but honestly it was delicious. Established in 2020.

Fork N Spoon is a Baton-Rouge based food brand, which was founded at the start of the COVID pandemic. With lock down and indoor dining restrictions in full swing, we decided to debut our brand as a meal prep service, offering ready-to-eat meals for the week to our client base in Baton Rouge and Lafayette, LA. One full global pandemic and a successful first year in operation later... we transitioned to offering dine-in service in the same kitchen that we originally used for our meal prep production! It's been a rewarding experience opening a business in such tense times, and we're happy to bring our feel-good food to the world at a time when it needs it most!

So, I pass through Baton Rouge often, and I am usually starving. I saw this little cozy looking restaurant, and I decided to give it a try. Boy, am I glad that I did! The Fork n Spoon did not disappoint me at all! The daily plate lunch was absolutely amazing! It felt like I had been transported back in time to my mom's kitchen! That day they had the most tender shredded beef brisket with home made scalloped cheesy bacon potatoes and the best corn off the cob I've ever eaten! This place is small but cozy and very appealing to the eye! Not only was my food delicious, but the portions were spot on! And the prices are very reasonable! This restaurant also has breakfast all day! I have been back several times, and I have absolutely loved everything I have ordered! After having had every item on the menu twice or more over, I can say that Fork N Spoon is the single best brunch spot in BR. Their food is delicious, fresh, and quick to come out! The lovely staff is always so kind and accommodating, and the restaurant feels like a nostalgic breakfast in a home away from home (if only mom could chef up as good as the Forky staff....)! I stopped in here with my friend for brunch and the food and service were outstanding! We both got the Maple Bacon Berry Toast and it was so yummy with thick toast and wonderful maple cream cheese. I got mine without bacon since I don't eat meat and she got hers as it comes. We both equally enjoyed our meal. We also got their house "floral Palmer," a fun twist on a classic Arnold Palmer with floral tones to it. So refreshing and good. The atmosphere is small, cozy, and inviting, making it just as good for a casual dinner as it is for a special night out. Our server, Addison, was outstanding--easily one of the best servers I've had in Baton Rouge. She was attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience even better. If you get the chance, don't miss their Restaurant Week menu. They always go above and beyond, and this year was no exception. The quail, stuffed with boudin and served over red beans, was incredibly juicy and packed with flavor. It was one of the standout dishes I've had in quite a while. If you're in Baton Rouge and can't decide where to eat, City Pork on Jefferson is a place you can count on. Great food, excellent service, and a warm atmosphere keep me coming back.
