Food is number one! Delicious! That biscuit-never had anything like it! Crusty on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside! My husband was in heaven! And the server young man was very friendly and attentive! Will be back next time we are in the area! Bravo and thumbs up to the chef and owners!! read more

Pack your patience and your friends or family and give this place a try. We came in on a busy Saturday afternoon but the young lady taking orders was kind and quick to help me with any questions. She sold me on getting the waffle breakfast for my visit. Hubs had the steak croissant and that plate was demolished. He said it was one of the best he's had. Whatever the sauce is on there is delicious. The place is small but it's kept clean. It takes a few minutes as everything is made to order which I had no issue with. read more

A hidden gem that has the best breakfast/brunch in the city. The flavor is phenomenal and the service is friendly and fast! This place was built on love and you can tell. There are a few cozy booths and tables for dining in, or quick food service if you need it to go. We tried the waffle, eggs, cheese grits, potatoes and sausage gravy. The biscuits are out of this world - buttery and flaky and fresh. Made in house. The flavor on the potatoes, grits and everything else brings you home into a southern kitchen where grandma is cooking up dishes from her heart and soul. We will be back! read more

Second time trying this place and it did not disappoint! I got the griddle stack breakfast combo which has 2 pancakes, eggs, and choice of meat. I got bacon and always have to add a side of their creamy cheese grits. Service was great! Wait time isn't bad to say everything is freshly made to order. It's a very quaint restaurant where you can study, socialize, and more. read more

The food is wonderful! The pancakes were so fluffy! We also really enjoyed the waffles. The cinnamon roll is the cinnaBOMB! Sooooo delicious! And they were even so nice as to heat it up for us! The workers were so very kind, welcoming, and accommodating, which is so very important to the success of a business. If I had to look for anything negative today say, I'd say it was too hot inside, and the tables are really tiny. The only table available was the tiny little high top by the window because they were so busy. We will definitely be back again for those amazing pancakes and cinnamon rolls! read more

The Cozy Griddle - Inside - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Baton Rouge, Louisiana

My mother and I just visited this place for the first time for a little birthday brunch and the experience was just delightful!! Restaurant is clean and smells good, and their sign says that the food is always made fresh so this was already a good sign! Their French toast is to die for, especially with syrup, and the scrambled eggs are so fluffy and soft! The service is Just as amazing too, the lady and her male coworker were really nice and understanding towards us, as we came nearly 30 minutes before they had to close because things kept getting in the way, I apologized for coming late and they said it was fine and even said that we could even stay in after closing to finish eating! (Luckily we just took to-go plates :P) I wholeheartedly recommend this place! Support this business! read more

The Cozy Griddle - Griddle French Toast, scrambled eggs with cheese, two sausage patties - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Baton Rouge, Louisiana

The Cozy Griddle is the perfect brunch spot. The food was amazing and the service was great as well. I had brunch here with my sister and old friend from school and we chose to go here after we heard there was a new breakfast spot right up the street from us. It is a black owned restaurant as well with some very nice owners. Our order was taken and our food came out about ten minutes after we ordered. I ordered their omelet with breakfast potatoes and everything about my meal was amazing. It was so good I didn't even have time to take a picture of it! read more

I got the breakfast bowl. It was delicious, well seasoned and a nice portion size. A little slow but I don't mind

The food is great but their business operations needs significant improvement. There is no flow as to where you can even sit. The way it is currently setup, they should only be offering TO GO so that customers aren't upset with the lack of proper planning. Tips from an hospitality manager: 1 have your menu large so people can view it and not be looking for a menu, it will be understood. 2. Have a sign on the door with a disclaimer of seating so it's not AS frustrating. Consider having a host/ busser to be a point of contact to let people walking in to know what (whatever that may be, I can't make sense of it) the operation is. 3. Give people a number (or flower) to identify where the food is going instead of calling a name. Again, great food, just has zero efficiency and makes customers extremely frustrated. Wishing the business success and the ability to take constructive criticism to be better. read more

The food was amazing. The best shrimp and grits bowl I've had in Baton Rouge and the surrounding areas. Pancakes were my husband favorite. The ambiance was nice and calming. As for service, it was perfect. Clean bathrooms. read more

Last week my husband told me about this spot & I was excited to try it out in the future. I'm home sick today & he thought this would be the perfect remedy. It did take a while according to him but everything was still hot by the time I got it. I had the griddle cakes and grits, eggs and sausage (not pictured bc I devoured them lol) The pancakes were so fluffy and delicious. The eggs were just eggs & the sausage was flavorful. My husband said although the omelette wasn't the most visually appealing it was soooo good. Next time I'd like to dine in to see how customer service is & try an omelette. One other observation is they are a little pricey but the food is worth it. read more

We were passing through from Tulsa and needed some breakfast after driving overnight. Dr. Google sent us to The Cozy Griddle and Doc was on point. This food is ratatouille good as in every bite made me smile while chewing. At 1st I was curious about the price but after the meal started I understood. Service : The server was very helpful when ordering. However, this is not a regular dine in restaurant (self seating) You order at the counter & your name is called once your food is ready. Food : Me and my partner ordered the griddle stack, not the best. The grits and eggs were amazing, however the sausage tasted frozen, bacon was too greasy. The biggest complaint is the pancakes, which they are known for. They were super doughy, too thick (could barely eat half of one) and lacked flavor. Side note : For both meals (griddle stacks), added grits, and an orange juice came to around $35 (43 ish with tip) Not worth it in my opinion Ambiance: It's okay for what it is, but I won't be visiting again. read more

My family and I visited on a Friday around noon. The spot is cute and cozy. Everything is cooked to order so be prepared to wait a little while. We ordered the chicken and waffles, 2 cozy plates with grits, eggs, bacon, and biscuits, a side of French Toast, and a side of pancakes. It took about 30 minutes. We enjoyed our food. The grits had a nice smooth, creamy texture. The pancakes were thick and fluffy. The French Toast was delicious. My daughter enjoyed the chicken and waffles. The chicken was crispy and nicely seasoned. I'd definitely recommend this spot. read more

It's a fairly new establishment. The line was long and I waited about an hour for my food. The food is cooked to order so be prepared to wait. The grits were very creamy and buttery I just had to add some salt and pepper. The pancakes fluffy on one side but they were good. I just couldn't cut into them maybe because they were left on the other side too long. Over all it' was nice and clean and I'll give them another try after they settle in. read more

Fantastic food made to order! The gridded biscuit is the best along with the pancakes, grits and scrambled eggs!

I wanted to get breakfast and I remember seeing a sign, so I looked it up because I was curious. It was busy when I came in but the customer service was still amazing and they were patient with me and I didn't feel rushed to make a choice. You definitely should have patience here. I believe everything is cooked to order which is fine you know your food will be fresh and hot. I was able to snag a seat and work while I waited. When I got my food at first I was like I should have ordered something else I don't think this will fill me up but shockingly I was wrong! The grits were creamy and the shrimp were juicy and I love that sauce. I cleaned my bowl and I was stuffed and needed a little nap when I was done. I will definitely come back to try different items on the menu! read more

Saturday morning was really busy! Line was outside the door. The staff was kind enough to inform us that there will be a wait. Ordered the cozy plate (grits, eggs, turkey bacon, toast) and the cozy benny. We also ordered an additional sausage for $4. To our surprise, it was just one patty. The meal was tasty, full of flavor and love! The portion sizes were not what I expected for the price but once again very yummy! This would be a 5/5 if the prices were more reasonable. read more

The food was amazing. They are working hard to provide truly home cooked food. I'm cautious to try new restaurants sometimes, but I definitely found my new breakfast spot when I'm in town. I HIGHLY suggest everyone stop by here. The line was repeatedly to the door, so clearly the surrounding community knows this place is fire!!! I would've and def should've caught a pic, but I was too excited to eat. I also noticed they make their own drizzle for the cinnamon rolls from scratch. Seriously never leave please! read more

This was my first visit, a serendipitous find due to a short tropical deluge; the grill is a few doors down from the auto title office. The grill is in the Coursey Place strip-mall: 11445 Coursey Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA. They aren't listed on the sign by the roadside. FYI You order at the counter, and they will call you to the pickup window when your fresh-cooked meal is ready. I had the "Cozy" breakfast: Seasoned and cubed fried potatoes , 2 eggs over easy, fluffy and crispy biscuit, and a spiced sausage link. Added a cup of CC's coffee. Delicious! Good food, good coffee, friendly staff, and jazz for ambiance in a brightly colored and lit, minimalist atmosphere. i will definitely be back. read more
