Nice spot for a quick lunch! I stopped here on a Friday around 3pm. I went with the Classic Hoagie in the small (6 inch) size. Everything is made to order and you can watch as it's cooked. The menu is large. I decided to dine in. Inside is clean and there is a large tv on the wall. My food was hot and fresh. The steak was cooked and seasoned good. My fries were thick, hot, and crispy. The drinks are self served. I didn't care for the sweet tea so I changed to a root beer. The staff were all friendly and accommodating. They don't have dine in trays but I just ate on top of the wrapping paper. Overall, nice spot that I'd return to.

The sandwiched here are freshly made and are tasty. They have a good variety of sandwich options and additional toppings. They are busy everytime we go. Seems to be a popular lunch spot in the area. It was pretty smoky inside, so we waited for our order outside. Other than that, the staff was pleasant and so was the food.

B-b-b-bruhhhh. I have likely previously posted stars to PhillyMeUp but more are deserved. Regular Cajun combo and you will be good to go (maybe even in a food coma afterward). Simple and consistent cheesesteaks. Newer crew did well at the usual 11am rush. Arrive early or late. My recommendation is 1050AM or after 12noon. Calling ahead to order is advised. By 1130 the line was well beyond what you see and for good reason. Great job PhillyMeUp. Keep it up. *Today was especially busy at lunch and good for them. However, my order was consistent as always. Delicious.

Born and raised in Southern New Jersey, I would call myself a cheesesteak aficionado. I am always hesitant to order cheesesteaks outside of the tri-state area for fear of disappointment. I happened to stumble upon Philly Me Up and it piqued my interest. After reading another review posted here from another NJ native, I was convinced I had to try it. The food: Any Philly or Philly-adjacent native would know that one of the keys to the best cheesesteaks is the roll. Philly Me Up does it right! The not only ship in the proper Amoroso's rolls from Philly, but they ship in their steak from Philly as well. BLOWN AWAY by the dedication to keep things authentic. Many non-Philly cheesesteak places (including that franchise by Mike) also miss out on the other key ingredient - the whiz! Philly Me Up has got it all! If you're homesick for a really Philly cheesesteak you won't be disappointed. If you're looking for a Louisiana flare, you also won't be disappointed. Hubby got the Cajun steak, which was spicy and delicious. We were a little disappointed in the cheese fries since we both like crispy fries and these were a bit on the softer side. The generous portion of liquid gold (cheese) made up for that part, though. The locale: The inside of this place felt super authentic as well with a few tables and high topics, but it seems most people order take out. Prices: Prices are super reasonable, especially for the quality of the food! I'm already thinking of when I'll be back at Philly Me Up!

We had lunch here today & we both got a Cajun Philly Cheese sub, it had lots of shaved chopped steak, pepper Jack cheese and jalapeños all had Cajun seasoning and it was super delicious it was very juicy. We also got a cheese fry which was super yummy even though the fry's were frozen they were delicious smothered in the cheese whiz sauce / liquid gold sauce lol. We will most certainly be coming back here.. everything was cooked to order and served piping hot just as it should be.

I've been on a favourite cheesestake hunt and I finally found one !! This is definitely the best I've had in Louisiana, all that burst of flavour added to the flavour from the pickled topping was really great. I'm giving a 5 star because it was a perfect experience. The waiter was really sweet and patient while attending to us, the steak was well cooked and extremely flavorful and the sitting area was very cool. I'd definitely be going there again.

My grandsons first exposure to a Philly cheesesteak. He loved it and wanted to go back the whole weekend.

The spicy vodka sandwich is very, very good, and it is a very large sandwich. You could split one and both people will walk away happy. But after looking around for a moment, she found a more descriptive menu. I suppose if you're a regular, that's not an issue. For a first timer, it's weird. I came here with high hopes for an Italian hoagie ("The Italian"). A good Italian hoagie is hard to find in the heart of po-boy country. The meat and cheese on this version is good, but the sandwich is kind of small and a bit dry. The menu says it includes roasted red peppers, but that was missing from my sandwich. It does appear they have a nice variety of bagels. Overall not bad, but I'm still in search of a good Italian hoagie.

Now they are in a much better, but still cozy, space on Government Street. This facility has indoor dining space, patio dining space, and plenty of parking, including a back overflow lot. Anthony's has been in business so long due to authentic Italian cuisine, including a great variety of take out deli items. If you need some real Italian grocery items for your home, there's a good chance you can get them at Anthony's. However, if you would rather let them prepare your meal for you, that's an excellent option as well. I think they have a first rate muffuletta, and it's important to have the right bread and meats for those. This is something they have covered! Their Po-Boys are also my favorites. These are pressed so they are crispy and flattened. I typically like to get these with a small salad, which is indeed an excellent choice. If you have room, there's always some great dessert choices. Another consideration is picking up something to take home for later, I think a tub of high quality imported olives are a good selection. Don't forget their cheeses as well, these can lift your home cooking to a higher level. Next time you are in the Government Street Arts and Entertainment District, drop into Anthony's for a bite, dessert, or take home items. You'll definitely thank yourself later!

First, the store was dirty. Plates were piles up on numerous tables. The floors were sticky. Next, I ordered behind a group of three people. After they ordered, the employee walked off and I waited another five minutes or so to order. I had to repeat my order twice and correct the drink as she was pouring it. I stepped aside to wait. While waiting, a couple of kids walked in. They waited about 10 minutes without being acknowledged. They left and two employees who just needed to acknowledge their existence made some snarky comments for all to hear. While I was waiting, there was clearly a tussle in the kitchen with employees shouting at each other and one lovely f bomb dropped. Another employee mediated and calmed it down, but they all had attitude. The trio in front of me got their food after about 20 minutes of waiting. A door dasher came and waited a while during that time and got his order. Someone finally asked me what I was waiting on. I am pretty sure at that moment they just started to make it. Here is where the only star was earned - A very nice employee walked out with my food after another 10 minutes and apologized for the wait. She offered me a free item, but I just took a refill of my drink. She was friendly and acknowledged the fact I had been waiting for so long. (35 minutes for slathering chicken salad on a croissant) I walked out the door just in front of that trio who had finished their meals and I had just received mine. So I took my order home..... no side. The sandwich was correct, but they did not give me the entire order. That was disappointing. And I paid way too much for that sandwich. I won't go back. As much as I loved the restaurant and love the menu all these years, this location sours it. Someone in corporate needs to visit this location because it will not and should not make it.
