My husband and I stopped by the Sharp location right at closing last night (05/27/20) Our order was a simple Large Catfish Poboy, with tomatoes on on half and fries. We waited, assuming that we were waiting for fresh fish. We received our order and drove home. Once we got in and settled we realized that we received the wrong order. Instead of receiving the large CATFISH Poboy that we ordered we received a large Poboy with half hamburger and half ham. We immediately tried to contact the restaurant to rectify the issue but no one answered. Being that the restaurant was officially closed we decided to take photos as proof of what we'd received. Needless to say, we had to find an alternative option for dinner. Fast forward (05/28/20), my husband called and asked for the manager to report the error. The manager asked if he still had the food. My husband said no we threw it out but I do have pictures as proof of the error. The manager said well our POLICY is no refunds or exchanges without the meal. There's nothing that I can do and hung up. I called back and asked for the manager (owner), he told me that he'd spoke with my husband and the policy was the policy. He then asked me what I expected him to do. I explained that whereas, I understand the policies though I was unaware of it at the time, I also understand that there can be exceptions in extenuating circumstances. The fact is we immediately tried to contact them to report and correct the error. After not being able to reach them that night we photographed the food with the intent to reach out to them the following day (which we did). I explained that we understand that mistakes happen, we are just asking for the mistake to be rectified. We took every reasonable measure to contact and fix the problem as soon as we were aware. Unfortunately, timing and circumstances were out of our control. The manager/owner simply said "Ma'am I don't know what you want me to do this is our policy my hands are tied." As stated we understand that mistakes happen, however, as a consumer we also expect to receive the goods that we pay for. It is disappointing when a business refuses to correct their mistakes. Lesson learned for me, be mindful of where I spend my money! I will NEVER patronize Po-Boy Express (Sharp Rd.) again. read more

How do ruin a po boy??? I mean ruin it!!!! Ordered meat pies, all 3 were frozen solid, cold. How does that happen?? Now the Po-boy, I've had corner stores put more love in a sandwich. The shrimp were Barely warm which made me think they flash fried some old shrimp, asked for it dressed, no ketchup or hot sauce and the French bread tasty and had the consistency of subway bread. I use to come here prob once a week for a really long time now.. Years... And today was the final straw. Not sure why they season their food so much, it's not even enjoyable. Got the seafood platter... Too spicy.. All of it. Can't even taste the food itself. And I ain't like most mayo mamalls... I enjoy spice but not when it's ridiculously too much. Stop seasoning it like that. This is a new thing with yall. Why fix what ain't broke? The cedar crest location didn't do this the last time I went so maybe I'll try there. Foods definitely gotten better with the new store. Not sure what they are doing with the gravy now, but it's Boooomb! It's thick, and sticks to the sandwich like a gravy should. It's now GRAVY, not Au Jus. The batter for the chicken has improved, I'm not sure what has changed but the taste is better, and I almost exclusively eat chicken, so this is definitely good. :D Don't let one or two people with negative things to say stop you from forming your OWN opinions. and Remember,we as the customer are NOT always right, infact sometimes we can be assholes too. read more

This is a "fast food" concept on fried food. this is not elegant dining but the place I had my first shrimp Po boy. I t was past 8 pm the place was clean and relatively quick as they cook to order. The gentleman who helped us was very nice and helpful. read more

Ordered thru waitr and the ticket item was correct thru waitr and the ticket on the bag had the correct order. But when I open my food the order was wrong. Called the restaurant and was given a complete attitude, no customer service experience apparently and her first blame was it was waitr fault call them not us. I explained waitr submitted the order correctly because the tickets are correct but your kitchen prep the wrong meal. She was rude and didn't give no resolution and didn't care...first time ordering from this place and will be the last...other locations food doesn't come with a side or attitude and this why I dont order or eat on this part of town.. read more

PBE has my favorite bread. I pretty much like everything about the way they make a good shrimp or oyster poboy. You also can't find fries like theirs anywhere else. The fiancee especially likes the meat pies. If you like your critters whole, they also have a fried soft shell crab poboy. It's the only poboy place I know of that has a drive-thru, and if you call it in, it's even faster. They're also reasonably priced. read more

No bang for the buck. For 10 bucks, i was shocked. All bread, little meat, and hardly any fries. When i grabbed my order at the window, it was super light, so i had to check and see what was in there. Order was correct, but my elementary lunch was better than this. I got an apricot, some greens, and a nice serving of lasagna. A poboy place needs 44 ounce drinks. The small cups will not satisfy. IMO, this place is about cutting corners. Will not go back. I can go to a gas station and eat like a king. It's hard to believe they get away with what they offer. The only thing people are paying for is convenience, not good food. Get a poboy at walmart, chips and a drink. You'll have to walk a few steps, but it will be better than this. read more

If I could give no Starts I would - This place is a joke. We ordered food from this location and were served raw chicken. We called to report this to the manager, Bryan, and he was absolutely rude. We were calling to make him aware the his location is putting out sub-par, and possibly harmful food and he was a complete assshole. I love Poboy Express; I'm a long time customer. They have great food, reasonable prices and normally good customer service. Lately, though, the service has declined and order mistakes are being made. Today I ordered in the drive thru and was asked if I'd like anything else. I then added another item to my order. When presented with my food, I didn't receive the additional item. The cashier said she didn't hear me order it. I asked how long it would take to make it. She replied it would take only a few minutes, but I would have to go back through the drive thru. Penalizing your customer as a result of your own mistake is the poorest of poor customer service. read more
