Fried fish and squash fries.
Penny F.

the food is consistently delicious , with efficient and courteous service! the family friendly ambiance makes for a pleasant dining experience! The fried squash is worth a visit there, by itself! Everything on the menu is fresh, tasty, and prepared with skilled hands!

Shrimp poboy and fries. Hmmmm taste like home.
Amanda S.

A classic since high school. When I come back to Louisiana I come back to Linda's. I always stick to the tried and true shrimp poboy with the great crusty bread. The fries aren't the best but I have to get them to complete the meal. If you're in Watson try it, it's an institution.

Use to be more seasoned fried chicken. Tried calling to pre-order and couldn't find a good phone number on the internet.

Food here is nostalgic to me and service is good. This place is best for takeout but they have seating inside with minimal ambiance.

We were in a large alcove at the back of the restaurant. It was spacious and elegant, even with the table ended up being almost entirely filled. Our waiter was enthusiastic and patient with our large party. Refills and check-ins were timed well. The drink selection was pretty extensive. Food was delicious and all delivered within minutes of one another (no one was stuck waiting for long). Burger was cooked to perfection and not TOO hot. I hate when food is so hot in temperature that you can't take a bite. The chocolate cake was good, but the whip cream tasted kinda fake/oily. The cake itself was medium density and had a slightly salted finish. It paired perfectly with the frosting which was very rich and extra sweet. A delightful pairing. For my drink, plus a double shot of whiskey, the burger and dessert, it came to just over $100. That feels expensive. Take that as you will. I wouldn't return mostly due to price. But quality on everything was great, and so was the service. Atmosphere was great too.

Ambiance was good. -2 stars because we sat at the bar on a Friday night and the bartenders were very lackluster. Barely spoke to us. The place wasn't overly busy either. We tried to make conversation and it fell flat every time. We enjoy making small talk with bartenders that's why we chose to sit there. Not sure if it was an off night or what. The lounge section was also closed due to a private party. Understandable but we wanted to have an after dinner cocktail. Overall we'd go back and sit at a regular table.

I went for the lunch buffet for $13.99 and feel like the BR location def has more options than the NOLA location (I haven't been to that spot in over a year though). There are some seafood options during lunch (salt and pepper crab, salmon, assortment of fish, and mussels) but if you want a wider variety, dinner is the way to go. I didn't try the sushi because the majority of them were always wiped out but the chefs in the back were doing their best to replenish whenever they could. Nothing to extraordinary with the sushi, I feel like you could get most of em at the grocery store. My favs at lunch were hands down the salmon and the baked mussels w cheese on top. The salmon was SEASONED SO WELL and I just kept going back for more. The mussels and cheese was def a hit too bc I could see the chefs restock every so often. There's unlimited boba (not included in the buffet) and I had the mango, which tasted watered down to me. The ice cream was amazing, got a mix of the taro and mango. The cakes were extremely dry and the mousse was the only thing saving it from totally crumbling in my mouth. For the most part, the food was piping hot, but there were a few options that were cold when I ate them, hence the 4 stars. The staff were incredibly sweet and would clean tables immediately after someone would leave.

We ordered togo & mix it with sushi for about $20 that's enough for us to enjoy. If you want your moneys worth.. I recommend dining in!

The bartender was great and very attentive and gave us some great recommendations! As my boss and I traveled in from California and Florida, we wanted to try creole cuisine and Cecelia's had a great menu. We got the cornbread (I still think about this cornbread), alligator, shrimp and grits, gumbo, and bread pudding. WOW, just wow was this food amazing! The shrimp and grits were fabulous and the gumbo was like a hug in the bowl. I recommend coming here hungry so you can try a lot of things on the menu! The flavors were reminiscent of my family recipes. The batter on the fried green tomatoes was perfect. The service deserves its own paragraph. Our server was Mila (sp?). Her attention to detail and attentiveness to our experience was top 10 among all my international and domestic dining experiences. We had our 18 month old daughter with us and she made us feel welcomed and was attentive to the experience of our child as well. I highly recommend her table if you are fortunate enough to experience her excellent service. The atmosphere is true to its bistro title. Cozy, intimate and well designed. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in Baton Rouge. I was here visiting family. San Francisco Bay Area is home.
