    Jalapeño Melt with Chips

All of the locations of Brew-Bacher's are Baton Rouge tradition! I have been eating at its various locations since I moved here in 1991. As the name suggests, it serves beers, burgers, and casual fare. Probably the biggest choices of menu items are the sandwiches! They have a wide variety of great ones. My favorite remains the Natural Club, which adds sprouts and avocados to the classic club, and it includes fries. Burgers are great, as is the old fashioned Patty Melt. Brew Bacher's no doubt has the best French Fries in Baton Rouge, these go great with sandwiches of course, but instead you can have a side salad or chips. They also have some great dinner platters and plate lunches. The daily special is always a good choice, and represents a homestyle filling meal. Then there are the classic Brew Bacher's Plates. The Chicken Drusilla is a local favorite, and includes fries and a salad. Maybe you want something lighter? Their soup and salad choices are just the thing! The Drusilla Brew-Bacher's is a bit more challenging to find, as it's located in the middle of the Drusilla Shopping Center, directly across from Mary Lee Donuts. Like at other Brew Bacher's, you walk up to the counter to order then they will call you when your food is ready. It's a simple but tasty way to have a nice meal.

I've lived in Baton Rouge since 2011 and resisted going to eat there because this place always looked dirty and unkept. Well we just got back in town and wanted something simple and decided to go there, big mistake. It was us in one table and another table. Spouse order a plain burger and I got the California club. How can anyone screw up a club sandwich is just I don't know. Sandwich came with fries and went to take a bite and the fries were cold and soaked in grease, tasted like they were cooked 2 days ago. The club sandwich was made with sourdough bread which felt like it was a week old. Meat was just barely warm. $14 wasted down the drain. They did the fries over, right out of the freezer bad clumped together. Burger was just disgusting gray matter. The place was dark and still not very clean. Only thing they had going for them was the AC was working. Other than that this was my first and last time going to any of the brewbachers ever and ever.

Thin onion rings and regular hamburger.

The food is just as amazing as I remember. Portions are huge and the food is fresh and delicious. We had a regular hamburger with thin onion rings, regular cheeseburger with fries and each a drink. The onion rings were phenomenal so thin and seasoned ro perfection. Both burgers were hot, juicy and tender! The fries were fried golden to perfection! The staff was welcoming and nice! We dined before the rush and it was quiet and friendly atmosphere. 10/10 will go again.

    Chicken avocado club (no bacon)

This is my first time trying this place! We got to go orders at work and I ordered the chicken avocado club, no bacon. The fries are good, they have a great amount of salt. As for the sandwich, I don't like it very much. Although I do see seasoning on the chicken, it has little to no flavor. Not sure if keeping the bacon would've added to that! There is a great amount of avocado on the sandwich which I did enjoy. Next time I'll try a catfish poboy instead!

Are used to love this place. I was excited to go there and have the fish shrimp or fried Oysters everything should be good now but now it's not it's not worth the money. The fried shrimp I like the size of bay shrimp, like a dried Chinese shrimp. I won't be coming back here. It's just was a rip off today. Very disappointing sadly

Food is great but they just started charging 5% for takeout orders - to cover to-go supplies. That in itself isn't an issue, but they should have a sign up or should let you know before you order.

Horrible rotten lettuce that I paid a high dollar for. All the time when you order to go. Not eating there again.
    Toni W.

Order to go...what do you get. Less money in your account and inedible rotten lettuce. I call and the manager says I will have to ask why he put "the bag of back lettuce" in your order. Problem is..this has happened several time while ordering to go. They don't think you will complain because you are not in the restaurant.

The crawfish were flavorful, seasoned well, and priced right, which is honestly the perfect combination when you're sitting down ready to eat. They had that messy, not really spicy, addictive quality that keeps you reaching for "just one more" until the tray is empty. I also tried the buffalo wings. They weren't that great, if I'm being honest, but I was hungry so they got the job done. The crawfish are clearly the star of the show here anyway. The atmosphere felt relaxed and unpretentious, exactly the kind of place you want for seafood with friends, cold drinks, and a table full of shells piling up by the minute. If you're wondering whether I'll be back, I already have.

They staved off an eviction nearly a decade ago and have somehow managed to stick around for a total of nearly 7 decades. Dearman's is the last legit diner in the city. The interior is a trip back in time. The spacious dining room is complete with retro furniture, checkered floors, and old school artwork that feels like something out of the 1950s. The decor screams pure Americana and is one of the biggest draws for the many patrons that come through daily. My favorite part is their juicy burgers. Pair it with their crispy fries and their old school milkshakes, and one has a complete meal. The burgers are hearty, and the portions are substantial. They also have salads, other sandwiches (tuna is my go-to), and various options for loaded fries. The other awesome part are the prices. Minus the double cheeseburger, there are no items that exceed $10 on the entire menu. The staff is young and always enthusiastic, and they play a big part in making this place such a destination. It is group / kid-friendly, and an ideal lunch spot. Orders can be placed online, but I recommend eating in for the full experience.

I went for the lunch buffet for $13.99 and feel like the BR location def has more options than the NOLA location (I haven't been to that spot in over a year though). There are some seafood options during lunch (salt and pepper crab, salmon, assortment of fish, and mussels) but if you want a wider variety, dinner is the way to go. I didn't try the sushi because the majority of them were always wiped out but the chefs in the back were doing their best to replenish whenever they could. Nothing to extraordinary with the sushi, I feel like you could get most of em at the grocery store. My favs at lunch were hands down the salmon and the baked mussels w cheese on top. The salmon was SEASONED SO WELL and I just kept going back for more. The mussels and cheese was def a hit too bc I could see the chefs restock every so often. There's unlimited boba (not included in the buffet) and I had the mango, which tasted watered down to me. The ice cream was amazing, got a mix of the taro and mango. The cakes were extremely dry and the mousse was the only thing saving it from totally crumbling in my mouth. For the most part, the food was piping hot, but there were a few options that were cold when I ate them, hence the 4 stars. The staff were incredibly sweet and would clean tables immediately after someone would leave.

We specifically found this restaurant because we searched online for gluten free restaurants, so we were excited to see that you offered a separate gluten free menu. However, there are some serious issues with the accuracy of that menu that need to be addressed. When we asked about the pork rinds brought to the table, we were told they are fried in the same oil as everything else. That in itself is your choice as a restaurant, and we understand cross contamination can happen. We were also told the french fries are cooked in beef tallow in a separate fryer, but they are not considered gluten free, which is why they are not listed on the gluten free menu. Again, that is completely understandable. What is not acceptable is having items listed on the gluten free menu that are not actually gluten free due to cross contamination. The pork rinds and cheddar filled tater tots were both listed on the gluten free menu despite being fried in shared oil with gluten containing foods. For someone with celiac disease, this is not a small mistake or a dietary preference issue. My husband has celiac disease, and if he had eaten the pork rinds based on trusting the gluten free menu, he could have become extremely ill and potentially needed hospital care. Our daughter has gluten sensitivity, and she would have been sick for the rest of the night as well. Many people still treat gluten free as if it is just a fad diet, but for people with celiac disease, it is a serious autoimmune condition that causes real physical harm. To the OWNER: please educate your staff and kitchen on what gluten free truly means, and update the menu so customers can trust it. People with celiac disease should not have to risk getting sick because menu items are mislabeled.

She came across as short, unfriendly, and overall not very pleasant. I first ordered a Banana Foster's Martini, but she came back and said they didn't have the ingredients. No problem--I asked for an Espresso Martini instead. A few minutes later, after bringing everyone else's drinks, she returned and simply said they couldn't make that either and asked if I wanted something else. At that point, I just declined. When it was time to order, our table had nine people. She took my husband's order, then went around the table taking everyone else's order. By the time she got back to me, she said, "Okay, is that it?" I had to remind her that she hadn't taken my order yet. I ordered the crab and corn bisque, a salad, and the stuffed catfish with creamed spinach. The salad came out quickly and was very good. Then everyone else at the table received their meals while I only received my bisque. After waiting, I was told my stuffed catfish "didn't come out right" and had to be remade. At that point, I honestly wondered if it was a joke. It wasn't. By the time my entrée arrived, everyone else was nearly finished eating. To the restaurant's credit, they did remove the stuffed catfish from my bill, and I appreciated that. However, the entire experience left me feeling overlooked from start to finish. My biggest suggestion would be for our waitress to work on her customer service. A smile goes a long way. Saying things like "Give me that plate," slamming cups onto the table, and appearing annoyed throughout the meal doesn't create a welcoming dining experience. Hospitality is just as important as the food, and I hope this feedback is taken constructively.
