    Three full wings & fries

First time trying Captain Hook. Chicken was hot and very fresh. Fries were crispy and overall food was great. Wait time is a little longer than normal places but that isn't a problem when the food is fresh. Don't forget to get the seasoning that they sprinkle on the chicken! I was a fan of it but it just needed a little more. Will definitely be back.

Watched the only female employee grab a chicken tender out of a plate of chicken tenders meant to be delivered to a customer. Eat one of the tenders and then recover the pan with fresh foil... In my opinion I wouldn't want someone putting their fingers in my food and basically stealing out of my plate that I paid for. She didn't replace the tenders she took either. she wasn't one of the cooks and her hands had been touching all over the screen the phone and her personal cell phone. My food was great looked good and tasted good. Thankfully she didn't touch my food but I don't know. I've worked in the food industry and this is absolutely not ok. If you're going to do something unsanitary and messed up at least wait until there is no one in the building. I'm not sure if she had permission from the cooks it sounded like she may have asked I'm not certain but why couldn't they make her a fresh one instead of allowing her to take out of a customers closed up tray of food. She had to unwrap the foil just to take one. That's gross and wrong.

    2 piece tilapia dinner

OMG unless you're feeding three people you may want to rethink ordering the LARGE chicken liver dinner. I'll have to look up recipes for using fried chicken livers as a leftover ingredient for tomorrow's meal. Both the chicken livers and the fried fish were cooked well. I had a delay getting home which left my fries a little soggy so I can't say how crisp they might have been to start out with. I originally planned on eating in instead of taking things home, but staff had haphazardly taped signs on both the men AND women's bathrooms that they were "out of order", so no way to wash up before or after a meal. Tables were not particularly clean either and the establishment really needs a bit of a rehab to be enticing to eat on site. Mind you it's a very small establishment with maybe six or eight very small tables so they evidently cater primarily to take out. I wish they had had something (ANYTHING) on the menu that wasn't deep fried. A real NON FRIED vegetable option on the menu would have been appreciated. Not the best fried fish that I've ever had, but it was tilapia instead of catfish which is a nice change of pace. Plus, finding a place that even wants to deal with frying chicken livers is a rarity these days and I was having a hankering for them today. That said, I could feel the oil draining out of my pores after eating so much fried food. Kind of on the fence regarding strongly recommending this place. They obviously have a niche by having unusual things that they fry like chicken livers and chicken gizzards, as well as other types of fish beyond just catfish. But... and it's a big butt, they don't keep up the establishment particularly well physically and their menu is strictly FRY CITY items.

Good food at a good price. Generous portions and crispy fish. The corn nuggets are really good. Expect to wait about 10 mins for your order.

Yesterday they had a special and I went by and picked up 5 pounds of cold boiled crawfish and had those today. there was a special on, and I won't quote the price, but it was the lowest I've seen crawfish in years. I was so excited I forgot to get corn and potatoes. We were so happy when they came back after they were severely flooded in 2016. The new space is much nicer than the old one was. Over the years they have expanded their fresh seafood while sticking with only things that are truly fresh. They also have a frozen section with a great variety. They have plenty of parking, which is great because you'll need the extra space to dodge potholes the size of kiddie pools. That lot is in horrible condition!! By the time we parked, our car needed a mechanic chiropractor. Unlike the parking lot, the inside was clean and moderately busy. When it was finally our turn, I confidently ordered hot large crabs. Pointing towards the display case showcasing a pan containing a moderate amount of cold crabs, the cashier replied, "We do not have large size hot crabs, only medium size cold crabs at $7.99 a pound." I slowly turned and looked at my husband with the universal married look that says, "Did we come all this way for refrigerated disappointment?" My husband the optimistic one decided we'd go ahead and get some anyway. As the employee began filling our order, I noticed she was selecting the smallest crabs from underneath the larger ones on display. I politely asked if she could choose larger ones instead, but my request wasn't acknowledged. After asking again and still receiving no response, I requested to select the crabs myself and was not acknowledged. At that point, we decided not to complete the purchase. For us, customer service is just as important as the food. We have a rule. If the service isn't there or the product isn't what a business is known for, it's okay to walk away. We almost settled, and that's never a good idea--especially these days when every dollar counts. And let's be honest the crabs were cold and my imagination started asking questions. How long have they been sitting there? Are these today's crabs...or are we on yesterday's episode? Maybe Randy's has amazing days. Maybe people leave carrying steaming bags of giant crabs while angels sing overhead. Friday, July 24th, just wasn't one of those days. Between the obstacle-course parking lot that doesn't qualify for FEMA assistance, the missing hot crabs, and being completely ignored by employee, this trip was an empty shell of what we expected.

I went last night, my fiancé ordered the pork chop platter with mashed potatoes and yams as the sides. I ordered the salmon with greens and yams as the side. It took 15 minutes to receive the food, which I didn't mind because I figured it was cooked to order. Before driving off I tasted the food in my to go box; the sweet chili salmon was super salty, it seems to be seasoned with some extremely peppery seasoning (I'm thinking it was Montreal steak seasoning.) the salmon was SWIMMING in the sweet chili glaze. The yams were extremely sweet and had a slimy gooey texture: it was mostly dark brown liquid with small potatoe chunks. The greens were actually in my fiancé's to go box, and those seemed to be seasoned with the same peppery seasoning, with lots of vinegar. These were probably to the worst greens I've had in my life! My fiancé did like his pork chops, he had slimy yams like mine, and his mashed potatoes were obviously doctored instant mashed potatoes. My fiancé took my box back and had them recook the salmon; it was slightly less salty, but still extremely peppery. He told me when he told the girl at the front counter, she asked "so what do you want me to do." That's a poor response from a customer service standpoint. All in all, this food totaled almost 50 dollars and was not worth it. The quality was super disappointing. I won't return to this location.
