These crawfish are perfect. Not too spicy and lots of flavor. It was a line out the door last week!…read more$5.99 a pound! Definitely one of my favorite spots to grab crawfish from. My sons loves them too which makes them my first choice.

I am not sure if I reviewed this establishment before but my recent visit along with past memories…read moresuggests a 5 star rating for getting boiled seafood--and since I live in the area and have passed by this location many times with people in line outside the front entrance I assume others agree with me. My recent visit was a Saturday afternoon---before we went, we called to make sure they had boiled crawfish available---the staff (person who answered the phone) told us yes and told us price per pound so no secrecy from them. When I arrived I was 12th in line but it was still only a 10 minute visit---at the counter they had 3 people---1 solely to take orders and fill orders, another who rang you up and the other helped the two described above. They had boiled crawfish and boiled shrimp--the boiled shrimp was sold with or without heads. Additionally they had the customary fixings such as potatoes and corn. All of the orders ahead of me ordered some or all as described---not sure what else they had on Sunday besides this but nothing else was needed. As for the boiled crawfish, I was very impressed with the size of the bugs and the flavor---seasoning was great for me but others may prefer it even hotter. I will return.

I stopped into Lagniappe for the first time yesterday and had a great experience. I sat at the bar…read moreand ordered a cheeseburger--super friendly bartender, great service, and the food did not disappoint. The burger was delicious, but the fries were the real standout... absolutely exceptional! I also really like the layout and overall vibe of the restaurant. If I had one suggestion, it would be to dim the lights a bit more in the main dining area to make the atmosphere even better. Otherwise, it's a very inviting space. Looking forward to going back--especially once the weather warms up so I can enjoy the patio!

A True Hidden Gem - Lagniappe Steak & Seafood (Bluebonnet Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA)…read more I recently had the pleasure of dining at Lagniappe Steak & Seafood on Bluebonnet, and it is without question one of Baton Rouge's best-kept restaurant secrets. On my first visit this past Wednesday, I ordered the fried shrimp and catfish lunch special, and immediately knew this place was different. The seafood was perfectly seasoned--not overly salted or heavily breaded, just a delicate, crisp coating that highlighted the freshness and natural flavor. The servers were exceptionally professional--friendly and attentive without being overly familiar, which I truly appreciate. What took the experience to the next level was when Anas, the manager or owner, personally came out to check on my meal. She was tall, poised, and stunning--truly looked like she could walk a high-fashion runway in Paris! Her elegance and hospitality added a touch of class you just don't see often anymore. I was so impressed that I returned two days later--the day after Thanksgiving--to try the grilled pork chop I've been hearing people rave about. Let me tell you... WOW. It was phenomenal. Juicy, tender, perfectly grilled with picture-perfect char marks--honestly felt like eating a premium steak. I give it a 10/10 without hesitation. On that visit, Jennifer was my server and she was fantastic--attentive, warm, and highly professional. Now here's the part that blows people's minds: these incredible meals were part of the lunch special, priced similarly to what most folks spend at a fast-food restaurant for a two-piece combo with fries and a drink. Same price--completely different level of dining. And for those who don't know: I've traveled all over the world and I am the ultimate foodie--something my followers know well. I live for great cuisine, authentic flavor, and memorable dining experiences. So when I tell you this place is worth your time, believe me. --- When in Baton Rouge, go to Lagniappe Steak & Seafood. You will not be disappointed by the ambience, service, or the quality of the food. A genuine 5-star dining experience and without a doubt one of the finest hidden gems in the city.

The customer service was absolutely fantastic and Alex was an outstanding waiter. You can tell the entire staff is concerned with the experience of patrons. Some of the tops of the paper towel rolls were stained and were a turn off. I ordered a seafood boil with mussels and shrimp at the juicy special flavor spicy spice level. Firstly the seafood itself was very fresh and honestly bigger pieces of shrimp and mussels than what fiery crab serves. My friend also ordered a seafood boil juicy special medium with no seafood and only the sides in the sauce. 225 Crab's sauce is pretty flavorful and even has visual herbs in it that you can also taste to distinguish their boil from other places. However, their boil sauce is very very salty regardless of the spice level and the salt becomes more prominent the colder that your seafood boil gets. 225 crabs's spicy level is not as spicy as fiery crab's spicy and I actually appreciate that. The Mr. Burger was really good and proves that they have a versatile menu. They have a good happy hour special with buy one get one daiquiris, but I wish that they had some cheaper mixed drinks on the menu in the $5-$-10 range. 4/5 on Yelp I would honestly rate a little lower like 3.5/5 based on the food but Alex was really a great waiter.

I think they need live music or something to compete with the other seafood spots. The seafood bag was okay! I didn't like the potatoes at all. I've had better in Baton Rouge. We also went around happy hour and got 2 for 1 daiquiris, pretty good. We tried the boom boom shrimp but they tasted like something out of the frozen section. Not sure if I'd return.

My server was great and attentive .service was just simply great. She was truly amazing. Food crab cake wasn't what it used to be. I ordered fries for $6. Upon entering, we started with a round of drinks, mainly old fashioneds. It's an oldie but a goodie for all of us since we're pretty basic. Had a smoky scent to it; that would be the theme for the appetizer round. It complimented the homemade pickles that accompanied the waters they served us prior to receiving our adult beverages. For appetizers, we ordered a side of the crispy brussels sprouts, the smoked wings, and the smoked queso. Sprouts had some peppers and candied bacon mixed in and topped with relish. Tasty although they could've done without the relish. The wings are tossed in a smoky guajillo sauce and drizzled with a white bbq sauce. Of course I was all over this given my love for white bbq sauce. The wings had nice tenderness with the meat and the guajillo and white bbq sauces mex well together. The smoked queso had some brisket mixed in; it had a slight kick to it with the spice and smokiness was apparent in taste. We were very happy with it and it was the favorite of the appetizers. As for entrees, I went with the slider trio (pulled pork, pulled chicken, chopped brisket) with a side of cole slaw. The pulled chicken was probably the best of the three; the pulled pork was solid too, I'm not a fan of brisket being chopped but the brisket pieces did have balance of fattiness mixed in for flavor. The cole slaw complimented the sliders well. My friends ordered the turkey and fig sandwich and the Q1 plate (pulled pork & pulled chicken); both got cole slaw as the sides. They also ordered a side of mac & cheese. They both finished their dishes; the turkey and fig sandwich got praise from my friend; maybe next time I'll get that. The mac & cheese had an intense cheese flavor; I don't mind it but beware as some may consider it too rich for their taste buds. We had efficient service as our server was available and made sure we had sauces/utensils when the new courses came out. A solid BBQ/Southern restaurant, BRQ is a cool one in my book.
