We had cheese burger and bacon cheese burger with fries. Food was ok and came out quick. The place as a whole needs a lot of work. Very greasy floors and tables, who place feels dirty. The mats at the door look like they have not been changed in many years. Don't think we will be back. read more

Didn't read any other reviews. Wonderful vibe. I wouldn't have noticed this place if I had to pick where we were going for dinner but I wanted a burger and he brought me here. I think he's a keeper. Walk in. Menu on counter. I'm sure the masked hostess was smiling from the tone of her voice. Make your order. Grab a cup, if you ordered a drink. Select a beverage. Have a seat. Viola! The food makes its way to your table. We had bacon cheese burgers. (I would've wife'd him if he took me here on the first date. I might be kidding). Anywho. The burger was delectable. I'm glad they had a napkin dispenser on the table bc I was not very ladylike. The onion rings were meh. I think the onion rings was served with tartar sauce. The dining area was clean. We have been coming to Denham Patty for years, through at least one ownership change. The food here is always good. It's always fresh and that's important!! One upon a time this was a Tasty Freeze and it showed. New owners refreshed everything and opened up more seating. It's clean here they have a nice soda machine now so you can get a refill!! The service is order at the counter and they bring it out to you. They have big half pound burgers, Po-Boys and fried sea food. The fries are big and tasty!! This trip Julie had a hamburger steak and I had a bacon cheeseburger, they were delicious!!! Julie likes their iced tea, I had a Dr. Pepper, cause I'm just that cool! I come here all the time from Clinton, La and the drive is worth it ! Been eating here for 20 yrs and they have the best catfish and shrimp combo plate ever. Check your burger before you eat. Ordered FULLY dressed. Got a dry cheeseburger. I was reading not really paying attention. Half way through I told them it wasn't dressed but they were indifferent. The food was freshly prepared. My order included a little something for everyone in my house. Cheeseburger poboy, kids's shrimp basket and some good ole onion rings (they were freshly cut, yum!!!) The shrimp had been properly cleaned and butterflied. Cleanliness is a huge thing with me. My son was able to color while we waited. That's a big plus for me. We took everything to go. The food was still hot when we made it home which further confirms the freshness. We shall return. read more

Had business in Denham Springs and had previously heard positive things about this place so we went and tried it---we went around noon and it was busy however the staff was efficient and attentive and was easily able to handle the dine in and to go lunch rush. Like most burger joints they offer a burger, fries and drink combo which is what we ordered---bacon cheeseburger for me was cooked right and very tasty and filling. Fries were of the frozen type however tasty. Establishment was clean, both inside and outside and staff was friendly. We were in the mood for a burger, so we looked on Yelp for some help and found this awesome little place. I ordered a burgervsnd onion rings with a drink. I was kinda shocked at the price. The I was more shocked when I saw the size of the burger. Geesh. It was huge. . It had to be 1/2 pound. The service was great and atmosphere good too. I found no draw backs from this restaurant. Their food is usually very good. Went in the other day and got shrimp po-boy and fries. Po-boy was good but the bun not real fresh. The fries were mostly small pieces that were over cooked and brittle. The edible ones were very cold. The only employees were young kids that really didn't seem to care. When you first walk in, you think uh maybe I should go somewhere else. Kind of a mess and things kind of thrown together. Is it the best burger I have ever eaten, uh no. It's not bad, I don't think the meat is as fresh and local as they state, it was ok. I liked the sesame bun and the lettuce was fresh. Cheese could've been a lot better than it was. I'm not a big American cheese fan especially if your trying to be the best around. I would go with a nice shredded cheddar. Plus maybe try and make it juicier, it was a bit dry but did have flavor. The staff were very accommodating and nice. Someone even came to check on me and that was nice. So in the end I give it a B-.. so many burger places and no one can seem to make it different or better than just a burger.. also the bacon was not crispy at all, very floppy. There is nothing fancy about Denham Patty, but if you can deal with their blue-collar atmosphere, their food will not disappoint. Their burgers and fries are made from scratch, the way any self-respecting restaurant should. Anyway, if you are passing through on I-12 (Denham Springs is just east of Baton Rouge) even with GPS, it can be difficult to find. Well, it was raining and at night on our visit. But, don't let that deter you. Even on a rainy night, they were busy. More people were ordering to go than dining in, We were served in a timely manner, but they are not a "fast" food business. One thing for sure, anytime I'm near Baton Rouge in the future, my first destination will be Denham Patty. read more

I think our biggest mistake was getting seafood here. I had the shrimp and fish basket and my fiancé had the shrimp poboy. While the breading and seasonings were done well the shrimp and fish had a very fishy taste, like it had not been properly washed or was a couple days old. The sides and tarter were nothing to write home about but also weren't bad. Just normal. Overall we would return to try some burgers as they looked fantastic. read more
