Oh it's open! Well you know my car scooted right along Sherwood to try it. First, I'll start with the service. I came during a pretty solid lunch rush inside and the ticket system looked like it was stressing them out but they still got out food promptly. The young man taking orders was kind and didn't let the rush sweat him. Kudos to him! On to the food. I got my usual chicken plate. The chicken was fresh but it needs more seasoning. The rice was ok and the salad was great. The Grecian sauce was near the taste of bland. Only a slight taste to it. But! This won't stop me from going back. It will be amazing with small improvements and plus they have other things I have to try. Only reason I didn't give feedback on the chicken and Grecian is because they were busy but I will do so next time. Go try it out!

I enjoyed my Friday lunch visit. They have a drive thru but I opted to dine in. Inside is nice, clean, with nice furniture. I really didn't know what to get. I went with the lamb chops cooked medium well with a salad, rice, and some type of sauce. My friend got the burger and fries. The lamb chops were the perfect lollipop size. They were seasoned ok but I needed a tad bit more or some type of glaze would've been perfect. The added grilled onion was perfect. The rice was just a regular white rice. My salad was good. I didn't really care for the sauce stuff. My friend's burger looked good and I had some of her fries which were nice and crispy. The owner was friendly as well as the rest of the staff. He encouraged me to try a strawberry chocolate pistachio cup. I'm so glad I did! This was delicious! I will definitely be back to try more of the dessert items.

Obviously tried this place for the grand controversy over the name. This was our second time coming, first we were there around dinner time just for deserts and the second we came for a late lunch. Service was fine, we did order a combo plate and they forgot the gyro. The interior is beautiful and clean. Baton Rouge has a variety of Greek flavors and we didn't think this was our favorite unfortunately. But you can go for the deserts alone!

Finally got the chance to stop by and try this place out and wasn't disappointed! I got the chicken sandwich special, which came with fries and a drink for only 10 dollars. It felt like a steal given how much meat was inside my pita, along with a heaping pile of fries. Everything was fresh and delicious. I managed to barely eat half of my meal before I was full. It would have been enough to feed my boyfriend and I, but he got his own meal which he enjoyed also. The service was great. The cashier answered all of our questions and explained the menu perfectly. We can't wait to return when our bellies are a little less full. Hopefully we'll be able to try some of their beautiful desserts.

I support any business playing in Starbucks face, but Starbox will need to work a little harder if they're going to keep up with Baton Rouge's Greek and Lebanese restaurants. It was quick and clean service, but I was less than impressed with the dryness of the gyro and shwarma, and the flavor of the falafel. The staff was super nice and helpful, and I like the clean white and marble of the space. Theres a drive through option which makes them a decent lunch option in the area. The desserts looked amazing, but I haven't gotten a chance to try. I'll come back to try the Dubai chocolate and will update the review then.

One piece of pita sliced and half for hummus

This was my first time visiting this location, and unfortunately, it didn't quite meet my expectations. The restaurant is a bit hard to locate off of Sherwood, and the parking lot setup makes it tricky to get in and out. They have a drive-thru window, but if someone is picking up an order there, you can't exit through that lane, you're forced to backtrack and leave through the entrance, which feels a bit unsafe and inconvenient. When I arrived, a family of five was placing a large order, and only one young staff member (a teenager) was taking orders. I ordered a chicken shawarma wrap and the gourmet hummus, pretty simple items but still ended up waiting about 20 minutes. The family ahead of me received their food first, and even someone who came in after me was served before I was. When my order was finally called, it had clearly been sitting out for a while and wasn't even bagged yet. To make matters worse, there were no utensils or napkins in my bag, which added to the frustration. When I got home, I hoped the food would redeem the experience, but it really didn't. The chicken in the shawarma wrap was very dry, lacked flavor, and had a lot of gristle and fat. The wrap was hard to enjoy, though the dressings and toppings helped a little. The gourmet hummus tasted fine on its own, but the meat topping also had quite a bit of fat and gristle. I've attached photos so others can see exactly what I received. At $18, this just didn't feel like a good value. I really wanted to like this place, but based on this visit, I'll probably stick with my regular spots for shawarma and hummus in the future.

Place is ok, floors are a little sticky. Employees are nice. But the food is no good at all. Greek salad was very bad, like canned tomato paste with onions. Chicken shawarma was super bland. The only thing I enjoyed were the French fries. Never going back.

Fresh, fast, delicious, and good value. I've been back several times and salad, lentil soup, and stuffed falafel were great.

This is one of three Albasha locations in the southeast Louisiana area. Thank god this location is near our field office in Baton Rouge which is where I was assigned to in early October allowing me to dine at this spot for lunch. The dining area spacious with plenty of seating. It does get a lot of traffic during the weekday lunch hours; probably cause of the lunch specials that are offered which we took advantage of. The menu consists of your typical Mediterranean eats such as hummus, baba ganouj, stuffed grape leaves, spanakopita (spinach pie), chicken/beef schwarma, lamb shank, moussaka, and kabobs (just to name a few). Lunch specials involve plates which include a feta cheese salad, rice pilaf, and hummus that accompany the entrees. Ranging from $14-18, this is quite the steal, especially during times like these. The Lamb Shank lunch I ordered was delicious with plenty of food that I had to have a to-go box to bring the remainders with me. The chicken shwarma and vegetable platter were ordered by other parties who both loved them. And we also started with the fried cheese which is served in a bed of olive oil and spices with some cucumbers, tomatoes, and olives. Very tasty, especially with the vegetable garnishes. I need to get another assignment in Baton Rouge so I can come back here again!

Everything was fresh and there was enough for two small meals in my lite box with chicken shawarma. It's very inexpensive, and staff was friendly and overall helpful. If I need something light and easy, I'll be back!

I soon realized that parking on the side (nearest the door) is also an Issue, because you may not be able to get out due to the drive thru line. That's the Second hurdle. Once you make it inside, it's still a madhouse. This express location does not work exactly as the others do. There was an older gentleman you go to first, he writes on your box what number you want. That may take a moment, as he didn't seem fully familiar with the menu. Then your box is sent down the line with numerous other boxes. If you have any special order issues, it's quite difficult to get them to whichever person who ends up fixing your food. This can cause mixups. The other locations have the same person taking your order and fixing your actual plate. So you tell them as you go what you want. The latter is what I'm used to. This was a mess. My food ended up correct after I called out several times and got the attention of the person fixing it. Meanwhile the older gentleman came and attempted to give my order to a man in front of me in the line. I had to tell him several times that it was mine. It was crazy. My husband ended up with an incorrect order, which I just took, as it was too difficult to attempt to get it corrected. I was just glad to leave. I think process was set up to possibly move the line faster, but it honestly doesn't. Either way, at the cost of customer service, which is SO great at the other locations, it's just not worth it. I'll continue to drive to the other restaurants. I like the friendliness and control over my meal that I get at those. Finally, last hurdle: Getting out of the parking lot. If you think you've avoided a line of cars behind you and you can easily back your car out by parking at the front of the place, near the busy street. Wrong again! The exit sits at one side of it. And again I couldn't get out. When I tell you I was beyond happy to finally leave this place!! It would be an understatement. As for the food, it was okay. Not as good as other locations either. Chicken was dry and the rice lacked tenderness & flavor.
