Super good food! Fresh and flavorful. Generous portions! My new go-to hot spot. The best Mediterranean food I have ever had!

Chicken Shawarma, Gyros, Hummus, Cucumber Salad
Brittny D.

Worlds above their sister location on Perkins. (See my previous review for how I feel about THAT experience, yikes.) The chicken shawarma here at the Mid City location is flavorful and not dry. The hummus and other cold sides are fresh and delicious. My issue lies with the gyros. Both times I have visited this location the gyros has been less than great. No "crust" , huge lack of flavor, texture is.... disappointing at best. And it makes me so sad cuz I love a good gyros and chicken combo pita. Not enough of an issue to run me off, I just wish they would try a little harder on that particular staple. Comparatively, I won't return to their Perkins store any time soon, but this location I will continue to visit.

Honestly one of my favorite go to places that's quick and relatively healthy! I always get the #3 combo cause of course, it has a little bit of everything.

I just went to the Serops Express on Jefferson for the first time and loved it! I decided to get the Combo Plate that came with gyro, chicken, salad, rice, humus and Grecian sauce. The gyro and the chicken were amazing and the humus was honestly my favorite part of the meal! The one thing I wasn't a big fan of was the pita because it didn't have a crunch to it and seemed kind of bland. Other than that this is a great Greek place that has walk in and drive thru options.

The food is decent... nice serving size...The only downfall is their rude drive thru customer service...The cashier asked what do you want, just because I asked to add a drink! Really? Always rushed! No chance to view the menu! Not everyone is familiar with what Serop has to offer! Geezzz!

In drive thru getting ready to get some goodness!!

Never thought I would equate Middle Eastern cuisine with Baton Rouge. But it's a cuisine that…read morecomes to mind when I think of this city thanks to this spot along with the stellar reviews that accompany it. This is one of three Albasha locations in the southeast Louisiana area. Thank god this location is near our field office in Baton Rouge which is where I was assigned to in early October allowing me to dine at this spot for lunch. The dining area spacious with plenty of seating. It does get a lot of traffic during the weekday lunch hours; probably cause of the lunch specials that are offered which we took advantage of. The menu consists of your typical Mediterranean eats such as hummus, baba ganouj, stuffed grape leaves, spanakopita (spinach pie), chicken/beef schwarma, lamb shank, moussaka, and kabobs (just to name a few). Lunch specials involve plates which include a feta cheese salad, rice pilaf, and hummus that accompany the entrees. Ranging from $14-18, this is quite the steal, especially during times like these. The Lamb Shank lunch I ordered was delicious with plenty of food that I had to have a to-go box to bring the remainders with me. The chicken shwarma and vegetable platter were ordered by other parties who both loved them. And we also started with the fried cheese which is served in a bed of olive oil and spices with some cucumbers, tomatoes, and olives. Very tasty, especially with the vegetable garnishes. I need to get another assignment in Baton Rouge so I can come back here again!

I felt like I was back in the 80s at the bar Cheers. The regulars have been gate keeping but their secret is out now. One of their bartenders--Logan--was exceptional! Logan made me the best paper plan that I've ever had. I liked it more than my beloved Old Fashion. They've got a new regular in me.

Having lived…read morein Houston previously, where there were many great Greek and Mediterranean fares, this restaurant surpassed them all. The portions were perfect, the flavors all blended nicely, with nothing too salty, too bland, or overpowering other flavors in the dish. Their hummus and pita are all made fresh in house, and a must try for appetizer. I then ordered the rice, chicken and lemon soup bowl along with the politika meatballs. The soup is best described as slurping down comfort food. The meatballs were a blend of beef and lamb, which helped to bring down the bold flavor of lamb, and allowed all the flavors of the saganaki tomato sauce to complement. All of that still some left room for desserts. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the choices. They all looked good. I went with this custard filled filo that was drizzled with honey. It's baked to order, so it was fresh, warm, crispy flakes of filo, and sweetened with honey and a hint of orange zest. Honestly, it's difficult to put it into words to describe it perfectly, but it was very good.
