Wanted to support a local biz and felt like Greek & Lebanese tonight, so Kabob's it was! Checked out the menu online and decided to try out the Kabobs Platters to share amongst our family. We called in the order (around 5pm) and added a fried cheese appetizer. Sadly they had sold out of their baklava and special mocha mint iced coffee as I wanted to try both! Order was ready in about 22 minutes, so right in line with the 20-25 we were told by the girl who took our order. The food we ordered was just the right amount for 5 adults and 2 kids. 2 Kabobs Platters and 1 order of fried cheese. Feedback from the 8 y/o and 11 y/o kids (as they are so picky ugh): chicken schwarma was too spicy. However, the adults thought it was perfect. They loved the shrimp and gobbled up the hummus and pita bread. We all could have used more pita bread, but that's typical at G&L places. It was all delish and just right to me. I especially loved the fried cheese! The sauce (olive oil and seasonings) was so good, I was dipping my pita bread in it! Perhaps that's why we didn't have enough pita bread lol. I'm used to a rice pilaf that has at least peas in it, so this one was slightly disappointing as it was just rice but still, it was delicious. I tend to mix it all up together anyway. Hopefully one day our family will be dining in here, but for now, I'm making Kabobs my go to G&L place. Gotta support local, and why wouldn't you when it's also delicious! read more

I was surprised to find this Greek restaurant so close to my house. They have been here for 12 years and I've never seen the place hidden around a curve. I got the chicken shawarma plate as I always do at Greek restaurants and was very impressed. I think that was the best shawarma I've eaten. The chicken was juicer than anywhere else as that dish usually is a dry chicken. It had great flavor and seasoning. I found the hummus to be fresh and very much enjoyed it as well. The dish comes with a Greek salad which is dressed much nicer than most places so it added a lot to taste. This was a very nice plate. I also order the baba Ganouj which I know I misspelled to go and ate it yesterday. It was the best I've had. Again fresh, homemade and smooth. Last night my family of four decided to get dinner from Kabob's because we didn't want to drive all the way out to Albasha, and now we all wish we would've gone to Albasha. We got 2 gyro plates, 2 orders of fried cheese, and one shrimp scampi. 3 out of the 4 of our family members got food poisoning and were constantly in and out of the bathroom. My girlfriend had to have a pot next to the bed all night because she kept throwing up. She had some of the gyro plate and the shrimp scampi, with myself and my father having only the gyro plate. All three of us got sick. The only one who did not get sick was my mother because all she wanted was fried cheese and was only able to eat half of one stick because it was flat out burnt and the oil was absolutely terrible. It's almost a blessing in disguise that she did not get to eat dinner. On top of all of this, that meal costed us $90!!!! Insane pricing, the WORST greek food i've EVER had, and when we called the owner about it all he had to say was "It can't be my food, there's no way." That food was the only thing any of us had all night, owner would not give refund and even if store credit was offered I would turn it down. This is truly a terrible establishment and me and my family will NEVER return here!! AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!! DO. NOT. EAT. HERE. I wish a decent restaurant would take this location because its real convenient for me. I cant believe so many people think its so great. I guess there isnt much competition out there for that type of food. I found the food loaded with grease and the best part of the meal was the salad. Maybe that kind of food is an acquired taste but my stomach just can't acquire it. I thought i was doing good ordering beef, potatoes, and eggplant, but the grease was just overwhelming. Service was good, atmosphere was ok, so i gave it two stars. We had been many times in the past but never realized they rebuilt after the flood of 2016. If you like Greek and Lebanese fare, you would be remiss to not give this place a try. I really wanted to like it because it's close to home. It was mediocre. We couldn't eat the side salad there was so much spice in the dressing, I think it had to be a mistake. We had the schwarma /gyro combo plate and the meats were ok, the hummus was fine, big portions, a little skimpy on pita and the rice was a bit too oily. Overall it was meh... Hands down best Lebanese/ Mediterranean food in all of BR. Yummiest gyros that are well seasoned and juicy. I've also tried the lamb kabobs and tiramisu- all delicious. Restaurant is a little tucked away. Plenty of parking and lots of tables for dine in. We will be frequenting this restaurant for sure.
