Kabob's Lebanese And Greek 16569 George Oneal Rd, Baton Rouge, LA 70817 If I knew this Lebanese/Greek restaurant existed way sooner, then I would have probably gained 10 lbs of happiness in a good way. Did I finish all this food in one go? No, I did not; but I can claim that this place is worthy of coming back to in my books. Everything from the beginning to the end was spot on delicious! Here's the list of things I've ordered now: 1. Fried cheese - The best fried cheese I've ever had, in my own opinion. 2. Kabob Sampler for 2 (Meza) aka 2 for my belly. If you never had Greek food before and just wanted a sampler of everything, I would highly recommend this. This ranges from chicken, gyro, eggplant moussaka, and so much more. 3. Red Fish in Alfredo sauce. 4. Shrimp Scampi. 5. Kabob Hamburger Steak: Imagine a regular hamburger steak, BUT with extra flavor and love put into it. 6. Meat Stuffed Squash. 7. Lamb Shank!! #tonylameats #batonrougela #greekfood #kabobsbr #kabobs #lebanesefood

I think this is the most underrated restaurant around this area. Portion is good. I always get the fattoush salad with chicken. Greens romaine not ice berg lettuce, fresh ingredients. Very reasonable price.

Kabobs has authentic lamb shank! Without tomato sauce or other odd junk. Their Koefta kabobs are delicious! The lamb shank comes with cinnamon on the rice which is spectacular. And there is so much food we always have plenty to take home. The deserts are amazing. The chocolate moose cake is not overwhelming the mousse insides are delicately flavored inside a thin sweet crusty layer which compliments it perfectly Well worth the drive out there The lamb shank also comes with a big salad

Excited to be here to get some yummy take out food!

Wanted to support a local biz and felt like Greek & Lebanese tonight, so Kabob's it was! Checked out the menu online and decided to try out the Kabobs Platters to share amongst our family. We called in the order (around 5pm) and added a fried cheese appetizer. Sadly they had sold out of their baklava and special mocha mint iced coffee as I wanted to try both! Order was ready in about 22 minutes, so right in line with the 20-25 we were told by the girl who took our order. The food we ordered was just the right amount for 5 adults and 2 kids. 2 Kabobs Platters and 1 order of fried cheese. Feedback from the 8 y/o and 11 y/o kids (as they are so picky ugh): chicken schwarma was too spicy. However, the adults thought it was perfect. They loved the shrimp and gobbled up the hummus and pita bread. We all could have used more pita bread, but that's typical at G&L places. It was all delish and just right to me. I especially loved the fried cheese! The sauce (olive oil and seasonings) was so good, I was dipping my pita bread in it! Perhaps that's why we didn't have enough pita bread lol. I'm used to a rice pilaf that has at least peas in it, so this one was slightly disappointing as it was just rice but still, it was delicious. I tend to mix it all up together anyway. Hopefully one day our family will be dining in here, but for now, I'm making Kabobs my go to G&L place. Gotta support local, and why wouldn't you when it's also delicious!

This place is a bit of a hidden gem. The food is flavorful and fresh. The portions are really big! It's always been great service when sitting in or togo. Seems to be a very clean restaurant as well. I just need to visit more often!!

Kabob platter was great. A little bit of everything. Best kibbi I have had in town. Good service as well on a Friday night.

This is one of three Albasha locations in the southeast Louisiana area. Thank god this location is near our field office in Baton Rouge which is where I was assigned to in early October allowing me to dine at this spot for lunch. The dining area spacious with plenty of seating. It does get a lot of traffic during the weekday lunch hours; probably cause of the lunch specials that are offered which we took advantage of. The menu consists of your typical Mediterranean eats such as hummus, baba ganouj, stuffed grape leaves, spanakopita (spinach pie), chicken/beef schwarma, lamb shank, moussaka, and kabobs (just to name a few). Lunch specials involve plates which include a feta cheese salad, rice pilaf, and hummus that accompany the entrees. Ranging from $14-18, this is quite the steal, especially during times like these. The Lamb Shank lunch I ordered was delicious with plenty of food that I had to have a to-go box to bring the remainders with me. The chicken shwarma and vegetable platter were ordered by other parties who both loved them. And we also started with the fried cheese which is served in a bed of olive oil and spices with some cucumbers, tomatoes, and olives. Very tasty, especially with the vegetable garnishes. I need to get another assignment in Baton Rouge so I can come back here again!
