I've never eaten inside, I've only gotten to go orders. However when I pickup food, it always looks clean and never appears packed with a bunch of people. The food is always hot but the taste is declining. This use to be my go to spot. The salad is always tasty. The chicken shawarma was a bit dry last time as was the lamb.

Serops is excellent. I am a big fan of Mediterranean food. For the last few months I have eaten it every week. Albasha has been my go-to spot both in Covington and Baton Rouge. My go-to spot until a co-worker introduced me to Serops. A few weeks ago my buddy from work asked if I wanted to meet him for lunch. He suggested we meet here since it was centrally located between our offices. Located in a strip mall on Corporate, this location has ample parking and a large, well-lit dining area. Service was prompt and friendly and there was no wait to be seated at 11:00 a.m. So far this seems like a pretty standard review, right? It was a pretty standard experience until the food came. Jumping Jehosefat! This was the best chicken schwarma and gyro I had ever had. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and juicy which is a hard feat when making schwarma. The gyro was tender, well seasoned, and paired perfectly with the hummus. It came with a salad which was better than Albasha which is a very hard feat to accomplish. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. I enjoyed Serops so much that since learning about it three weeks ago I have been back five times. I love it and think you will too.

Serop's Pasta, hold the pasta, over Eggplant Medallions.

When you think you've tasted the "best thing ever," check yourself....this right here is the one of the best things you will ever put in your mouth. Order the Serop's Pasta, without the pasta, on a plate of eggplant medallions....order the shrimp with your gyro and shawarma. You're welcome. If you're lucky enough to be there when David is working, ask for him. Rarely have a I met a more accommodating, friendly, and mindful gentleman. He knows what we want before we do. And we eat a lot, a lot. Love this place and love these people!

I got the fried cheese and chicken shawarma and gyro plate. That was the best Greek food I've had in a long time. The chicken wasn't dry and the food was amazing tasting. I was pleasantly surprised --also ordered through ASAP and food was still hot. Fried cheese was crispy instead of rubbery--so good

wheat & white pitas

this is my 2nd time going to Serops and they really outdo themselves each time!! the pitas were served warm, still steaming but just the perfect temperature. my gyros lunch plate was also absolutely delicious!!! the atmosphere was calm and our server was very attentive and sweet. while you eat, you can see the kitchen where they prepare your food. i love getting to stop here for lunch when we visit LA. highly recommend!! :)

Chicken Shawarma Plate

The food is always amazing. My favorite is the chicken shawarma plate with extra hummus. Its seasoned to perfection and the hummus is amazing and creamy. I always get no rice, extra hummus, but i guess yesterday was an off day for the kitchen, but thats ok. Nisrin is usually at the front counter while working the floor and has always had an amazing attitude towards the customers. I always look for her when i come in because she just makes the whole visit memorable and pleasant. Portion sizes are great as well! I haven't dined in, usually get it to go as i live across the street, but its very spacious on the inside.

A year ago, I went to this Serop's for my brother's graduation lunch and it was just so good that I had to go for my own graduation lunch! I ordered the combination lunch plate with chicken shawarma and gyro and I noticed that the size of the portions were noticeably a lot bigger than my last visit. It was still as delicious as I remember it and this time we ordered a few appetizers for the table. One I highly recommend is the fried halloumi cheese!! I can't even describe how good it is. Their falafel were also pretty good as well especially dipped in their tahini. The service was just absolutely wonderful. We had a huge party of about 15 and they made sure to check on us a good bit and we're very patient with us. They also even refrigerated our cake for us in the back until we were ready to eat it. I love this place and I will continue to go back

This place hits the spot when I'm craving Mediterranean food. We wanted to dine in that evening, and it sadden me to see we were the only couple there that evening. But the owner or manager there was still nice and attentive to us, giving us a refill on the pita bread and drinks. The food that this location is certainly good, you just can't go wrong.

Big portions, yes! I ordered the lunch gyro sandwich and the gyro was packed with plenty of meat and also came when a side of salad and hummus (or fries). They were extremely busy when I came in during lunch but not overwhelmingly busy to where they couldn't handle their tables. I see why they have so many locations now *two thumbs up*

Combo Greek Combination Plate, Gyro Pita Wrap

Ended up at this location on accident but very glad I did! Free and continuous refills on drinks and exceptional service. The staff were attentive but not annoying. The gyro and chicken were so juicy and tender I was so impressed. Food, atmosphere, and service were all 10/10 and the single chickpea in the hummus inclined me to leave this review.

Vegetarian Plate with mousaka, grape leaves, spinach pie and baba ganoush.

This is the best, and I mean BEST, Mediterranean restaurant around. I live in mandeville and look forward to the drive to get my veggie plate. The grape leaves are the best I've ever had. They're perfect. I've tried many a stuffed grape leaf from many a place and no where else even comes close. If you're in the mood for some wonderful Mediterranean cuisine, you are looking in the right place. You can't go wrong with any of the appetizers and even though I'm vegetarian, that chicken schwarma is tempting.

Lamb Shank: Cooked lamb shank served on a bed of rice pilaf and topped with their special Demi-Glace sauce, with side of vegetables. $18.95

This is one of three Albasha locations in the southeast Louisiana area. Thank god this location is near our field office in Baton Rouge which is where I was assigned to in early October allowing me to dine at this spot for lunch. The dining area spacious with plenty of seating. It does get a lot of traffic during the weekday lunch hours; probably cause of the lunch specials that are offered which we took advantage of. The menu consists of your typical Mediterranean eats such as hummus, baba ganouj, stuffed grape leaves, spanakopita (spinach pie), chicken/beef schwarma, lamb shank, moussaka, and kabobs (just to name a few). Lunch specials involve plates which include a feta cheese salad, rice pilaf, and hummus that accompany the entrees. Ranging from $14-18, this is quite the steal, especially during times like these. The Lamb Shank lunch I ordered was delicious with plenty of food that I had to have a to-go box to bring the remainders with me. The chicken shwarma and vegetable platter were ordered by other parties who both loved them. And we also started with the fried cheese which is served in a bed of olive oil and spices with some cucumbers, tomatoes, and olives. Very tasty, especially with the vegetable garnishes. I need to get another assignment in Baton Rouge so I can come back here again!

I felt like I was back in the 80s at the bar Cheers. The regulars have been gate keeping but their secret is out now. One of their bartenders--Logan--was exceptional! The portions were perfect, the flavors all blended nicely, with nothing too salty, too bland, or overpowering other flavors in the dish. Their hummus and pita are all made fresh in house, and a must try for appetizer. I then ordered the rice, chicken and lemon soup bowl along with the politika meatballs. The soup is best described as slurping down comfort food. The meatballs were a blend of beef and lamb, which helped to bring down the bold flavor of lamb, and allowed all the flavors of the saganaki tomato sauce to complement. All of that still some left room for desserts. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the choices. They all looked good. I went with this custard filled filo that was drizzled with honey. It's baked to order, so it was fresh, warm, crispy flakes of filo, and sweetened with honey and a hint of orange zest. Honestly, it's difficult to put it into words to describe it perfectly, but it was very good.
