Got here at 8pm on a Wednesday night with my 6yo daughter. The food is good for a waffle house and deserves about 3.5 stars. My issue is the music. It's VERY loud hip hop coming from the server's personal speaker. It is full of expletives, racial slurs, and sexual language. Completely inappropriate for any restaurant environment, let alone a family friendly chain. I would have at least expected them to turn it down or completely off seeing there are kids here. Absolutely horrid experience! Arrived at 4:05am for a quick breakfast before heading to the airport. Walked in and was immediately met with nasty attitude from the staff. Was told it was "its takeout only". I stood there for another 10 minutes without being helped, so I left. There were dirty dishes everywhere. Will NOT be back. read more

okay so i had to wait 15 mins for jasmine to come take my order when she walked up for the first time she jumped straight to my food. i asked for my drink she rudely said what do you want i proceeded with the drink i want then she took our order. she left to grab drinks. when she came with the drinks she slammed them down spilling mine on my utensils and walked away. came with the food didn't ask if all was good. then refilled my drink 1 time and checked up 1 time. i wasn't a fan of my food witch was my problem. i ordered it. but she proceeded to say "oh sorry about that" rudely. as my boyfriend went to pay she asked if he was tipping at the table since he didn't tip through card he said my girlfriend didn't like her food and the service was poor. she proceeded to say "that's not my problem" and came to me at the table and said "don't come back then". i said "i'm sorry we don't pay people for disrespect" and she said "i don't care. don't eat here if your not tipping" then followed me to my car asking for my receipt back. overall WILL NOT COME BACK! and DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! poor service from jasmine! read more

I came to this Waffle House two days in a row and get the same poorly managed experience. Yesterday, after waiting 20 mins to place a to-go order, one of the cooks asked if everyone placing a to-go order would leave and come back in 5 minutes. FIVE MINUTES! As if leaving for 5 mins would make a difference. Now today, I tried again. I placed my name on waiting list and we were told it would be 30 mins for a table. It's now been over an hour and still four people in front of us. People that have been sitting there for 30 mins still haven't gotten their food. And there were open tables! I thought I would get to enjoy a nice breakfast before heading to the airport but when I walked into the restaurant at 5:10 am and headed to the counter to take a seat, one of the employees standing around behind the counter told me that they do not open until 7 am. Don't need to go there again unless we have no other choices. It was dirty and noisy. You're not given regular silverware, but a pack with plastic fork and knife and napkin. Service speed was good but I believe we missed the morning rush. Server was OK - she was not consistent with customers (for example, offering drinks to go to some, but not to others.) Prices aren't too bad, however the food isn't great. Wish there was more variety on the menu. Eggs and bacon weren't totally cooked as ordered. Grits were super salty, and the waffle was a disappointment. Thin and cake-like. I prefer airy and crispy waffles. read more

They only do to-go orders because they get an automatic 20% tip and don't have to do dishes. (Don't add a tip it'll just be extra on top of the 20%) The 4 employees told me this morning at 6:30 they were only doing to-go orders because they are understaffed. They do this all the time. It's a greasy place where you can't really have a healthy tasty food made with good ingredients. The service is slow and if you seat on the bar you can see the employees fighting among themselves. Not a good experience. I don't recommend if you have other options. read more

I love this WH! I grew up eating at WHs and in fact, my first job was at a WH in Alabama, so yeah "I'm a Waffle House kid"! I was so sad when they had to shut down for the pandemic cause to go breakfast gets cold so fast and part of the WH charm is the employees. The morning crew here is awesome! Fast, friendly, chatty and just the right amount of surly. The morning manager, I think his name is Alex, was doing it all to help his staff. Cooking, prepping, washing dishes, helping clear tables.....you can tell he cares. They are usually super busy in the morning but they are never rude or stressed, they all seem to enjoy what they are doing. I know I loved working at WH! Of course I love the food, it's in my blood! Bacon crispy, hashbrowns perfectly shattered, what can I say about eggs, they're eggs, worst part of breakfast but ya gotta have um. So guess where I'm going for breakfast tomorrow??? read more

So. The first review I should have made was 12/20/2020. During quarantine Carly kicked ass! She made sure our order was correct and even brought it to our car with a twinkle in her eye! Average. Well actually slightly below average. The food was ok, the prices were affordable, but the portions seemed small. I ordered a T bone steak breakfast with hash browns and eggs. The steak was tough. The hash browns were cold and not crispy, I asked for over easy eggs and got scrambled. They only dole out one serving of jam for two whole pieces of toast, and you don't get to choose, it is delivered with the meal instead of a selection of flavors on your table. All three stars are for our excellent server, she deserves more than the 25% we were able to afford for her tip. Food quality and portion size need improvement for any more stars. read more

A huge thanks to this Waffle House. Husband and I were stranded in a hotel near the airport during the chaotic winter storm (sometime around Feb 14-18). While roughly 60% of the city had shut down, this Waffle House worked round the clock to feed many hungry families who had run out of food. Luckily we were able to get a hot meal after our hotel run out of food and all grocery stores and other restaurants were closed. We will forever be grateful. Came in for the first time to order to go, let the little Mexican girl that's working tonight 07/02/2022 at 1:12, should know who she is since the rest of the staff was black. She said to go to the counter. We go to the counter and she says oh someone else is going to come take care of you. While she's at the register and could've taken 2 min to take our order, she then continued to stand around and not do shit. BAD SERVICE IS THE MOST ANNOYING THING. I work in costumer service and if you didn't want to work, don't work in costumer service. The attitude. So unhelpful, so if you're loosing business you know why. Very convenient being next to the airport and open 24 hours. I flew into Austin on a red eye with the Frontier airline. The airport had nothing to eat or snacks to pick up so I was hungry since I was unable to eat dinner. First thing u smell as you walk in is bleach and cleaning products. From the length of time we were there eating the restaurant was constantly being cleaned. Due to the humidity outside the restaurant was very cold so being a jacket if your not used to AC on blast. Restaurant was little and was pretty busy. Not too many options to choose from in the menu but the food was delicious. Me and my friend shared the bacon, egg and cheese melt with hash browns with sautéed onions in it. I wanted to be greedy and ordered a waffle as well..the waffle was big but I do like my waffles a little crunchy on the outside but still pretty good. I think my group of 6 waited for a good hour, and we also had to remind them constantly. There were tables open but they did not clean them. My friends were hungry and didn't enjoy the wait time but we continued to wait as we were committed to getting those waffles. I think I fell asleep waiting so In my head the wait time was shorter. The friends all ordered themselves hearty stacks of waffles and breakfast food bowls. The portion size is pretty fair and it's all standard food. First off, I love Waffle House! I grew up eating at Waffle House when I was living in Virginia and I have lived in CA for most of my life, I deeply miss Waffle House. On a trip to Texas for a wedding I was delighted to see a Waffle House 6 mins outside of the airport in Austin. I took my wife who had been hearing about me giving deep professions of love for many years. They did not fail to let me down. Everyone was extremely friendly and we were told to choose a spot wherever we would like which we did. I ordered the Breakfast sandwich on Texas Toast and Hash Browns that were hooked up. My wife got the pork chops and eggs which were flavorful. They also brought us a mess up biscuits and gravy. The food came out extremely timely and hot The coffee was refilled multiple times. Literally the worst place I've ever been to we walked in and every single table was filthy with dishes and trash . We got a seated . The waitress came after a while took our order then came back 15 min later and said the cook stepped out of the kitchen . While waiting she offered us a waffle. That's probably the only positive thing I have to say about this establishment. While sitting waiting for the rest of our meal a man and his son walked it with a speech and hearing impediment. The staff immediately started laughing and making jokes about them and got confrontational when he asked for a table to be cleared off . All while all the employees were standing behind the counter just laughed and talking not doing anything to clean the place up . We finally got our food after waiting 45 minutes everything was made wrong over cooked burnt l not cooked through also everything was drenched in grease our waitress was. the only polite person on staff she took our food back and agreed to remake everything but as that was happening the Hispanic looking dish washer girl with brown hair and highlights begin to get in a fight with other guest calling him racist and offensive names . At that point we had enough with the disrespect the staff had toward customers. Unprofessional and ghetto is what this place is . Will never be back . Only Waffle House I've ever been to that they didn't acknowledge you as soon as you walked in the door. There were 7 people working and there were 7 empty booths. All dirty. Family used the restroom. No one cleaned off a table in the 5 minutes they were gone. We stood there after they came back. For another ten minutes and just eventually left. Without a single person ever greeting us.
