Taco salad on Wednesdays are always good just wish that they would give me more chips! Lol! Nice cafeteria style comfort food are available everyday at this place with a decent price for lunch!

Not big BUT big on the taste of food they serve, you wouldn't believe it by the taste and quality but the cook is blind, (mama)

We somehow snagged nearby street parking and a table for two with no wait despite it being a busy Saturday evening after a UT football game. Make a reservation if you have a large party or are on a tighter schedule. It's a bit loud for those seated in the lobby/entrance area, but totes a vibe. For food, we ordered the blackened catfish, brisket burnt ends quesadillas, and harvest bowl to share. Everything was delicious and served quickly, even with the aforementioned dinner rush. 10/10 would order the same items again. I was so appreciative of the server splitting the entree over two plates without us asking. Did I mention the complimentary popcorn and cornbread? Twas a FEAST. I'm already thinking about the next time we're going back! If not for Moonshine, definitely for the speakeasy downstairs.

We arrived and in a few minutes we were seated at a table and immediately given water in mason jars and asked for our drink order. I opted just got an Arnold Palmer but the drink menu had some cute cocktails and mocktails, as well as a nice selection of beer and wine. Instead of bread, our server brought us a basket of seasoned popcorn. The popcorn had almost like a Cajun flair, but it wasn't spicy. It reminded me of the Ground Round chain from when I was a little girl. We decided to try the corndog shrimp appetizer. I couldn't decide on an entree because everything looked so good, so I did the Parmesan chicken and my coworker did the steak salad. The shrimp arrived so quickly with four large pieces of shrimp on a stick wrapped in corn dog batter and fried to a golden brown, with a blueberry mustard dipping sauce. The shrimp were delicious and while I didn't get much of the blueberry in the mustard, I enjoyed the sweetness it provided. My Parmesan chicken was a crispy and juicy breaded chicken cutlet with a lemon cream, artichoke hearts, and what appeared to be prosciutto on top. It was served with a side of pesto couscous with grape tomatoes and cucumbers. I wish I had ordered mashed potatoes on the side, because I wanted something to soak up the lemon cream sauce, which was the highlight of the chicken. We also were served 3 mini cornbread muffins with honey butter. My coworker said the salad was just okay, and was a little on the small side. The desserts were definitely a MUST and if you visit Moonshine and don't save room for the Espresso Brownie or the Peanut Butter Pie, you're going to regret it. The brownie was so fudgey and warm and served with ice cream. It was decadent. The peanut butter pie was the biggest slab of PB pie I've ever had with a thick Oreo crust. I wish I had someone with me to share it, it was huge. Overall, if I lived in the area I would definitely be back to try other things.

We made a res and that was a good choice as they fill up very fast here. There is complimentary valet parking as well for those worried about their cars. The interior is modern and sleek but doesn't lack a soul, which extends to their servers and workers, phenomenal. For our food we went with cornbread, pork belly sliders, aged wagyu burger, and fettuccine. The cornbread was phenomenal, an easy standout with a grilled onion butter that provides a pop of flavor. The pork belly sliders were also good, balancing all flavors perfectly. The fettuccine was good, not great. The chips and their texture took a lot away from what else was going on in the dish. Now for the best part of the meal, the burger. This burger is unworldly, an absolutely delicious bite brimming with juice. The beer cheese and jam do so much here with a perfectly cooked patty. The definition of a signature dish. Odd Duck is such a standout in what can sometimes feel like a copy paste food scene here in Austin. The restaurant itself is decorated so nice, it's picture perfect. I also really appreciate a restaurant committed to having options that are seed oil free, from local farms and also having options without refined sugar. Miranda was our server and she was so kind and attentive. She made sure we had a great experience and was a pleasure to talk to. To eat I ordered the classic breakfast and to drink I had the vanilla maca. I didn't love the vanilla maca, and I only blame myself for that. I have never had maca so I didn't know what to expect but the drink basically tasted like a chocolate protein shake. Which isn't bad but I wanted like more of a latte so that was on me. My meal however? Loved it. Everything was so flavorful and hit the spot exactly with what I wanted. I also really appreciate a salad with breakfast since this helps lower your glucose spike and so when a restaurant offers this I know they know true wellness!!! My girlfriends both ordered the avocado toast and loved it. One ordered the cherry vanilla limeade and enjoyed it as well, but as an avid cherry hater I didn't try it...but if you like cherry she recommends it! I would come back to Austin just to eat here again. So good. So jealous this isn't back home... did I mention that already??!!

It was painfully boring. We had our 6-year-old, who is head of the Picky Eaters Society, so we ordered bread with butter. This 6-year-old, who eats bread on the daily, took one bite and wouldn't eat any more. We even get gluten-free bread regularly, and he eats it. The bread was fine, but don't expect flavor. By some miracle, they even made butter tasteless. I considered calling the Vatican to see if this was some holy, divine miracle, but my wife suggested maybe the main course would be better. We settled on the pesto pasta with chicken added for an additional fee. The pasta was good. Great texture, good flavor, and the combination of ingredients was good, but it's nothing original. It's pesto pasta. It's a classic. I appreciate the pomegranate seeds on the guacamole because it's original, it's clever, and it's different. We also ordered a special soda drink for our son, and it had a small black bug on top. I had them take it back and replace it. I kind of expected a "Listen, we apologize for the bug. Here's half off dinner," or something, but nothing. Service was fine, and it's a decent atmosphere. If you're looking for a place to sit and talk it's a great place, but if you want food or a drink go somewhere else.
