She dropped the change back in my hand like my hand was diseased. She did not say thank you or "have a good day", the normal, simple, easy yet soothing platitudes one shares in their position. I'm not sure if she is perpetually moody, miffed I did not tip, or just irritated by my incompetence. But either, this is disheartening, disappointing and unprofessional. All easy fixes, but they seem to be working towards a less customer-oriented experience. Please raise prices rather than degrade the experience. We want you to last for the long haul!

Since I used their QR code for ordering, which was attached to our table, I didn't have much interaction with the employees. But my order was ready quickly and delivered to me smoothly. I ordered a small hot latte with honey and the Smashed Avocado with added poached egg. I was very impressed by both of these items! The latte had perfectly steamed milk and just the right level of sweetness. And I always appreciated beautiful latte art. The toast was super satisfying and it incorporated a variety of interesting flavors. The walnut pesto and balsamic glaze gave the dish a zesty zing, but it was balanced nicely by the avocado and expertly poached egg. I loved Civil Goat Coffee and, if I were local, I would absolutely revisit! Highly recommend!
