Pretty good cappuccino and nice vibes. Maybe skip the matcha because it looks like they use a squeeze bottle.

I met a friend here for a late lunch, coffee, and some WFH. We drove there separately but both got spots in the parking lot out back. I also know there's free parking in the neighborhood. We found a table near an outlet, and although the table itself was pretty small for laptops and food and coffee, we made do! Drinks came out quick, and food took maybe 10-15 minutes. My latte was tasty, and I was pleasantly surprised by the green eggs and ham. The toast itself was really crunchy and over-toasted, but I ate it with a fork and knife so I didn't have much of an issue. The toppings were delicious, though! I'll definitely come back here!

While there are now two Civil Goats in East Austin, drive the extra ten minutes and come to this one instead. Why? There's a private lot (albeit small, but I've always had luck finding parking), plenty of outdoor seating options to choose from (shaded spots, tables on the dirt, patio seating, or wide-open under the blue sky) plus a fair amount of indoor seating as well, and even a dog park! Sadly, no actual goats at this location. They serve both food and drinks, but the few times I've had their lattes, they are pretty much standard for good, but the food... unreal. I constantly rave about how addictive their specialty Soft Scramble is. Their Soft Scramble ($14) comes with buttery scrambled eggs with chives, a refreshing arugula salad, and a protein of your choice. No question, GET THE HASH-SAUSAGE!! I never order scrambled eggs at restaurants because my thought process is: I can make them at home...but Civil Goat broke that rule for me. Also, I'm a big fan of the Cuerny Sam ($12) when I'm craving the perfect breakfast croissant sammie. WARNING: Use the dog park at your own discretion--the fencing is makeshift and big dogs or high jumpers can easily clear it.

Really cute place. At first glance it looks like a house until you step inside. Free wi-fi & water fill station Their drinks are soooo good. We ordered a Dirty Chai w/reg milk and a regular latte which were both flavorful. the employees were definitely approachable and friendly.

Really enjoyed civil goat! They have a really cute interior with plentiful seating including a bar area as well as tables. The mocha was tasty but I feel like I've had tastier mochas elsewhere. My friend enjoyed the matcha latte but felt that it was more granulated at the bottom. We both enjoyed the ambiance but not sure we'd return for the coffee alone

Dog friendly coffee shop with delicious healthy bites. There is plentiful outdoor and indoor seating. There is even a dog park next to the outdoor seating area. I had the Green Eggs and Ham Toast ($11.50) and BF had the croissant sandwich ($12). The croissant sandwich looked incredible! I enjoyed my toast, it was very unique and crunchy. The Matcha Latte ($5) was nice. I would love to come back and try the acai bowls! Staff were awesome :)

I really like this location a lot. The dog park is probably the best thing ever if I'm being honest. Our little guy loves running around and playing ball here. It's a very clean and spacious yard for furry friends. Secured with a gate. Picnic table inside the yard so humans can enjoy their food and beverages. The various coffee we've had is always stellar. I'm partial to a perfect cappuccino and it's pretty darn close here. I've bought the house blend packaged beans as gifts for coffee snobs and they've raved about the flavor!

Coffee is delicious, and although they don't have a robust breakfast menu, they hit what they do have out of the park. My croissant sandwich was 11/10. Not a ton of indoor seating, but if you're cool with sitting outside and getting your Vitamin D in, there's plenty of outdoor options

    Waiting for his treats!

I love civil goat coffee! The manor road establishment does not have the actual goat however this settles my dogs who like coming with as I enjoy great coffee, amazing breakfast sandwiches, and relax as I people watch with a book in hand. I could spend the day here if it wasn't for having too many cups of delicious coffee! They have a small tv that plays old vhs tapes to round out the local vibe of hipster cool. They orders arrive promptly as well with a number to secure your order. The staff is pretty cool and well informed in the menu. They do seem to keep staff which is nice for those wanting to be recognized as regulars. Did I say dogs? They are pet friendly and the fuzzy guys really like how the dog bowls quench their thirst and they can relax on the cold concrete floor inside, the wooden patio, or the grass in the small fenced area.

Civil Goat is a cute coffeehouse offering breakfast and lunch on Burnet Road near downtown Austin. Yelpers love the lincoln's açaí bowl and avocado toast! Also has a small dog area in the outside sitting areas, as well as indoor seating.

Coffee and breakfast spot close to UT. Staff were very friendly, recommended the breakfast croissant , it was Delicious! Plenty of people work from the cafe, it's a quiet and pleasant place for sure.

It's a little cozy indoors, but good for conversation or studying/working. The bartop seating has outlets. The window hightop seating offers a nice view and there is plenty of outdoor seating. The croissant sandwiches were delicious-the honey is definitely a nice touch. We didn't get to try the pour over this time but will be back again! Does *not* offer military discount. Does have free wifi. Plenty of free parking.

    Acai bowl
    Jennifer M.

Food: The acai bowl was amazing--refreshing, well-balanced, with the right amount of fruits and other extras. The scramble was very well-cooked (fluffy), and the salad was fresh. The bacon is a must--crispy and delicious! The sandwich includes a sweet orange marmalade. Coffee: They know how to make excellent cortados and dirty chai tea lattes. Ambiance: Super chill and great for a simple date. It's a place where you can comfortably bring kids and family. The music is at the right volume, allowing for good conversation. Everything is kept nice and clean, and there is outdoor seating available. Service: The cashiers were very friendly. It is an order-at-the-counter establishment where they bring the food to your table, but there is no traditional table service. Price: Average and competitive pricing. It's not cheap but fair.

Unfortunately, the kitchen just wasn't on their game this day. We went for brunch and it is a lovely restaurant with some amazing looking pastries. My ratings of the food we got are below. Overall, everything was just okay and not something I would order again. Our order: Salami and cheese - 1/10, not even edible with how much olive oil they dumped on it. Hard cheese and meat. None of us touched it. Frites - 9/10, hard to go wrong here. Nice and crispy French cruller - 7/10, I think this is just personal presence here I wished it was warmed up. Flavor was good but it was a little dry. Burger - 5/10, the flavor is there and definitely has potential but it was so bloody and rare which is not what we asked for. My friend has a gluten allergy and she asked for the burger lettuce wrapped and it just came on top of a huge chunk of iceberg so wouldn't recommend that if you want it lettuce wrapped. Chicken sandwich - 8/10, this was good with a nice crispy chicken. It could have used something sweet to balance the spice though it was a little one dimensional.

We were both starving and this place is open 24/7. I drove by it for 20 years on the way to Avenue Barber Shop. I wanted shredded beef tacos but couldn't get them without cilantro so I chose shredded beef enchiladas (with an $8!) side of chips and salsa. My wife ordered scrambled eggs, bacon and home fries. She requested soft eggs, as she always does because too many places overcook them. The chips and salsa arrived. I was immediately disappointed. The menu said "we make our own chips." They were thick and yellow and appeared to be run-of-the-mill, out-of-a-bag chips. I prefer the thin white ones. I took one bite of salsa, and that was one bite too many. Cumin. I pushed it all aside. Cumin doesn't belong in salsa. (Sorry. I grew up in the Rio Grande Valley.) My enchiladas came with black beans, and there was cumin in them. Cumin is overused and abused in most restaurants. I couldn't eat them. The rice was good but the chipotle sauce on the enchiladas was not. I scraped most of the sauce off and ate one enchilada, mainly because I just needed something in my stomach. We were still 45 miles from home. I pushed my plate away. I also ordered coffee. One sip of that was all I could stand. Too weak for me. It gets worse, much worse. My wife's eggs were barely cooked. She asked the waiter for some cooked eggs. He took her plate and returned about four minutes later. The eggs were still not cooked. She tried another bite but couldn't eat them. Her bacon was tough as a boot and not chewable. The home fries were average, but by the time her plate arrived at our table for the second time, they were cold. I pulled my card out waiting for our excellent server to return. He asked how everything was (he had to notice two plates still covered with food) and we politely told him. I ate one enchilada and some rice. My wife had two bites of egg and two bites of potato. He apologized and handed me the check. $65. Nothing comped and nothing adjusted. A manager should've been summoned. How does a place like this have any customers? It was our first and last visit.

When I got there, four of the eight tables were empty but the dirty dishes had not yet been cleared. It took close to 10 minutes for the tables to be bused. Because the kitchen is so small, I'd recommend going up to the counter to order as soon as you get there.
