Very basic hotel restaurant. I believe some of the menu items are a little overpriced. For example, a side of broccoli is $10. A small cup of tomato soup was $13. However, the server was nice. food was just very basic.

Wanted to piggyback off of Graces review. Definitely did not want to eat here due to the reviews but there weren't many options at the time. My flight was 6hrs delayed so my friend and I decided to grab a bite at the hotel. Oliver is a gem. He's so kind and thoughtful. He anticipates the ppls needs. We both ordered the cheeseburger. It was juicy, flavor was there but not amazing. Fries were great, crispy and seasoned well. Service was phenomenal. Whatever Oliver's doing, he's doing it well. Thanks for a great experience.

This is how food was present Ed when I was ignored by 10 servers during dinner hours at the restaurant.

I arrived at the restaurant an hour and 15 minutes prior to closing on 4/24/23. When I arrived I was expecting to have dinner after a long flight during a business trip. I sat down and waited 15 minutes. There were 10 servers that ignored me. I was not given a menu. I intended to bring my laptop and get some work done before with a glass of wine. There was no server and no menu provided. I do not recommend this place. I would recommend purchasing food outside of the hotel and bringing it to your room. Once I returned to my room, I ordered from the menu. I had to wait another 20 minutes for my food.

Founded in 1997 by Chip McElroy, Live Oak was built with a simple idea "make beer for people who actually like the taste of beer." In 2015, Live Oak moved to their current location on a beautiful property along the Colorado River, opening a taproom and biergarten. One its unique features...it's off the beaten path of other breweries. Live Oak Brewing is north of the airport and backs to the Fast Park remote airport parking lot. At first glance it looks like it's a convergence of a fire station and deserted manufacturing plant. The grounds are impeccable...tall statuesque trees, lush green vegetation and an extensive outside biergarten. It feels like you are in a nature bubble. Interestingly, Live Oak Brewing has its own on site 18 hole disc golf course (different from traditional golf) located directly on the brewery's property. Live Oak Brewing's interior has the feel of a German Hofbräu...homey, spacious, and welcoming, with long communal tables that encourage conversation and human interaction. You can see directly into the brewing space, with large tanks and equipment. Also, board games are available if you choose to play. Live Oak is family friendly and dog friendly. In fact, Groot, the owner's dog, freely roams through the brewery drinking area. While I only had sips of beer (not a big beer drinker), my friends enjoyed their beers. Live Oak Brewery Company is a super fun place to hang out.

I ended up parking on the street. I had brunch at Dish Society and you can either order from a QR code on your table or order at the counter. I downloaded their app and initially was sent an offer for a free beverage. I ordered the Spiced Apple Cider and it hit the spot and was so warm and flavorful the perfect comfort beverage. For my breakfast entree I ordered the Shrimp and Grits, gulf shrimp, smoked gouda grits, tabasco shallot butter sauce, bacon crumbles, sunny side vital farms egg. I got the Tabasco sauce on the side and the grits had a great flavor and texture for a very savory and flavorful dish. I also came during the social hour and took advantage of $7 cocktails and ordered the spicy strawberry margarita with socorro tequila, paula's orange, jalapeño, strawberry, tajin. I used my free bday entree coupon from the app to order the Citrus glazed salmon to go. It had pan seared citrus glazed salmon with organic quinoa, tomato, red onion, avocado, citrus segments, & mint. I also added the quinoa stuffed avocado halves topped with organic citrus quinoa, tomato and onion, citrus segments, mint, & organic greens with white balsamic vinaigrette. The to-go food was packed securely and was still fresh to consume when I arrived at home. Service was attentive and friendly, the ambiance was inviting, and the menu has a great balance of indulgent dishes and lighter, health-conscious options. I already got a $5 off coupon through the app and am planning a return visit to try other appealing items from the menu.

The food is good overall--fresh, well-prepared, and reliable--but it doesn't quite reach the level of being incredible. That said, the salads stand out for their good portion size, making them a satisfying and healthier option if that's what you're after. Crispy Cauliflower was a bit of a miss for me - fried but sitting in some overly sweet sauce. A few bites were more than enough to satiate the curiosity. All in all, it's a dependable choice when you want something quick, clean, and decent without too much fuss.

I called to see if Paperboy was open and if they had a long wait. There was a recording that said to text only. I texted but didn't receive a response. So we went to check it out. When we walked in we weren't greeted with a "hi how are you?" We just got a cold stare from the hostess and a "We're at full capacity". That's it. It was around 2:20 and they close a 3 pm so it wasn't like we were coming in at 5 minutes before closing. When we left, my daughter even said that girl was mean. If you don't like people then maybe find a job where you aren't face to face with customers. Austin certainly has changed. I've been here for over 25 years. I don't know if it's now an East Austin thing to be snooty and treat people rudely, but we went to Lou's Barton Springs last week with our dog and it was completely different experience. They were welcoming and the employees were all super friendly and nice. My daughter and I enjoyed our experience there and never again will we step into Paperboy East and be treated that way. I'd like better experiences for my kid that was born and raised in here Austin and don't want to subject her to places where we will be treated badly. BTW The right thing to have done is smile, say "good afternoon, I'm sorry but we are at full capacity. Thank you for coming I and please try us another time." It's really not hard. It's called human decency.
