I came in at 8:15 pm on 09/13/2020. The register dude with the fro was SUPER not happy that I, and a couple other people came in right before closing. No worries, I get it... I worked retail before. So I order my two meals, one being salmon and I knew it would take a few minutes longer. So I waited.... and waited. The lady who order AFTER me got her order. So I had a second to hear the guy deliver all the bells and whistles of the condiments he offered in spanish. She was sweet and gracious and said SE to all that he offered. A minute later, my order was up. I walked up, and this young man shoved the white bag at me from under the plexiglass partition. Although there was a brief moment of eye contact.... he offered me zero condiments, extra napkins, etc. not even "here ya go." The brief moment was me giving him the opportunity to engage... and he didn't. So it left me feeling like some clients get customer service, and others don't. With all that's going on, and ALL BUSINESSES ARE HURTING.... I will go elsewhere. Everywhere we shop it pretty much sucks right now.... however, I have decided to no longer park my money where I'm really not wanted. My last time here! read more

I was ordering food at the register and a large cockroach about 3-4 inches long fell from the ceiling and landed a few inches away from my feet and then proceeded to run underneath a refrigerator that held drinks. The woman taking my order saw it fall, watched it run and then looked up at me and asked me to continue ordering... I told her nevermind I'm leaving. I WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS LOCATION AGAIN. I then called the corona health department and they said they will send an inspector out. I hope this place gets shut down, for 1.) Having roaches.. and for 2.) not doing anything about it... she could have at least tried to stomp on it, but she just thought it was funny. read more

I like WABA, but this one is dangerous. Every time I go in the employees are on their cell phones. The owner is reasonable for the poor management and does not seem to care. Last week, Tuesday their ATM machine was down again. Seems to be not working more than working. This week we ate lunch and they ran out of chicken. We order beef and by the time we finished they were out of beef. How do u run out of meat when u only offer beef or chicken! This owner need to take classes on how to run a business. In addition the owner needs to learn how to control his unskilled childish employees. Today I went to subway next door and the health department has shut WABA down. Last Sunday my family and I went out for dinner and ordered from this particular Waba Grill and I was appalled by how stingy and unprofessional this particular restaurant was with our order. We ordered a total of five meals with two orders of avocado on top of 2 bowls. My husband and I were disappointed by the cook's customer service when we asked him to kindly add avocado to the salmon bowl because it was mistakenly added to the beef bowl. The order was made incorrectly. After our suggestion for him to just add some avocado to the salmon bowl, he "fixed" the issue by scraping off the avocado from the beef bowl and placed it on the salmon bowl. He was too cheap that he couldn't even spare a couple slices of avocado to make a customer happy. Luckliy my family member who had ordered the beef bowl was not allergic to avocado or we would've had him make a whole new beef bowl. I will never order from this Waba Grill ever again. The cook is in need of a customer service class. The front girl was very apologetic and showed concern regarding the cook's actions. read more

Finally! Healthy food that doesn't taste bland. The quality of the ingredients was obvious from my first bite so now just three months later I'm a regular. Also, since I've been coming to this location, the friendly crew has gotten to know me and ALWAYS remembers I like the Salmon plate with all vegetables and no rice. That's pretty impressive for a chain restaurant and the great volume of people they accommodate on a daily basis. Keep up the good work, Waba. Your consistency is amazing! read more

LOST A CUSTOMER! This is my third time here. My husband and I ordered a steak veggie bowl and asked for no rice. After we reviewed our receipt we noticed the UNFRIENDLY woman at the counter charged us an extra .70 cents for "no rice". When I asked her about it she told me that because I didn't want the rice she had to charge us more! How does that make sense? Less food and yet we get charged more? I was about to give this place a 4/5 for the size of the building - it's WAYYY too small. But really size of the building shouldn't reflect on how good a place is for food. I used to go to a Flame Broiler off River st. in corona, but now that I found this spot, good bye flame broiler! The workers are super cool - and you get your food twice as fast as FB. You get more food for the $$ at waba, i prefer the sauce more here too... Chicken Bowl + Green onions, I'm good to go. I eat here probably once a week, every week. Highly recommend it if you're a Flame Broiler fan.... this place is much better. read more

This place gets 5 stars cause it's clean, the food was good, and prices are fair. This is similar to flame broiler but it has more options. The miso soup was ok, I had the chicken veggie bowl and tried the steak bowl. Both were great. For healthier options substitute white rice for brown and ask for white chicken meat. This is a healthy fast food sit down place. The decor is modern. I hope they open more locations! read more

Today I decide to get something from here, the time was 8:50 pm. And they have a sign to the out side that it said they close to 9:00 pm. But I see all the chairs on top of the table but anyways I walk in, and I try to order something and one of the cashiers tell me it's close, and I tell her it's 8:52 and same other guy from the back tell me that because they cleaning up already. I'm finding that easy healthy food options are not as plentiful in Riverside County as they are in Orange County. That said, Waba Grill is a delightful alternative to the nearby fast food joints. It is very clean and appears to be well run and organized. I'm a huge fan of the salmon which is highly recommended. I've also had the chicken and beef which are very tasty but sometimes have random pieces of gristle which I can't stand so I don't order those as often. They also have a fridge full of bottled drinks to choose from and you get to pack your own spicy carrots/jalapenos and containers of teriyaki sauce to go. I'm not a fan of the carrots though because they lack flavor and are too spicy for my taste but others I know like them. Overall, recommended. read more

If all Waba Grills were this good I would eat at them more often. This place is clean (bathroom was immaculate. How rare is that?), staff is friendly (Mari takes pride in her job) and the food was ON POINT. Good portions, rice was fresh and soft, veggies were perfectly cooked. Fresh, clean and flavorful. I want to call this Asian-Fusion, but am unsure what category exactly this establishment fits into. Similar to Flame Broiler but healthier, more options and cleaner. Staff is friendly and helpful, which I've found is unusual for any type of non-table service. The teriyaki sauce is top notch. Salmon, chicken & beef are all included on the menu. Brown rice is offered as a healthier option, which is always a plus. I did the chicken salad plate/substitute salmon. I did not regret this. Plenty of cucumbers, tomatoes AND apples! What kind of a place like this offers apples in their salads?! The Asian dressing was tangy and perfect compliment to the teriyaki salmon. Two thumbs up! This a great workday lunch grab. There is almost always one nearby. The menu is simple and its all healthy. I'm not really a 'health nut', but I am a foodie so it always helps me to watch the waistline Monday thru Friday so I can grub on the weekends . They have cheap bowl deals for $5 w/a drink. Can't go wrong. So far, all stores seem to be consistent with portions, etc. The joints aren't always the cleanest on the inside, but I never dine in so this doesn't affect me. I will say, considering how small the places usually are...it wouldn't be that hard to wipe a table down every once in a while. Overall 3 stars cause the bowl is cheap, good portion; nothing fancy. read more

This place is a rip-off. They don't fill the bowls to the top like Flame Broiler does. Taste is ok. I can get the same thing at FB (Half and Half Bowl) for a cheaper price with more food.
