Soup comes with my Korean rib lunch. Radish soup. Lightly spicy, outstanding taste.

(Please note that, at the time of my writing, this Yelp site has comingled old reviews/photos from a prior restaurant, same location, different name. Not sure why, but this has unfortunately influenced the star rating for the new business. The differences are night and day.) We have many Korean restaurants in this area. So, when ON Korean Kitchen opened somewhere around 5 months ago in the same location as a poor quality, now defunct, Korean restaurant, I was dismissive. But then, the rave reviews started rolling in. Seeing they had a nice lunch menu, I thought this could be an opportunity to test the waters with less expensive options. So, today we decided to see how good is REALLY GOOD. They opened at 11. By 11:20 am we were frothing at the mouth in anticipation. First thing I noticed? The other customers were all Korean. YES! Secondly, the server/ hostess was warm, attentive, and friendly. The interior was delightfully fresh and inviting. Great start. The extensive menu is what really impressed me... many traditional dishes that I will never be able to spell, let alone pronounce. Then, there were the different options and preparations for their Korean fried chicken. The pictures were bold and beautiful. Heart be still, I have had a singular passion for good fried chicken since I was a child! But then, oh no, the thin, Kalbi Korean ribs caught my eye. And under the Soups and Stews category, there it was...my husband's favorite of all time, the Beef Rib Soup. It became immediately apparent, I was in a quandry. We had a lot of eating to do... just to make sure, of course. Our meal started with their banchan presentation. There were six, and each was wonderful...pickled cucumber, fish cake, sesame soy marinated pepper and onions ( I think I tasted bonito flakes in this one), sesame oil marinated bean sprouts, traditional Korean potato salad, and lastly... drum roll please...the kimchi. The kimchi was unlike others I've had, with a subtle fish flavor midst all the wonderful, usual kimchi ingredients. Go figure, they make their own. So good! We loved them all. We ordered two skewered meats for starters, one garlic pork belly, one soy glazed chicken. Honestly, these did not make the grade for me, being small, under-seasoned, and in the chicken's case, overcooked. We can move on from ordering these again. The rest of our meal made us downright giddy. The Kalbi and the Beef Rib soup were our final choices. Both turned out outstanding. The Beef Rib soup broth was richer and more flavorful than most we've had in our lifetime. The focus was on the meaty bones, with not too many noodles and two plump jujubes floating on top. Served with steamed rice. This can be found on both the lunch and regular menu. A very wise choice. The Kalbi Ribs, cooked on a sizzling hot, iron platter, were so tender, juicy, and very meaty. The marinade created a lightly sweet and salty glaze, that was finished with a sprinkle of toasted sesame seeds and green onions. My lunch portion was very generous, and included a cup of flavorful, lightly spicy, clear broth radish soup that I loved! The Kalbi comes with a bowl of steamed rice. A winner! This, too, is both a lunch and dinner option. Some of main entrees are described as serving 2-3 people. Hence, at first glance, while appearing to be quite expensive, they are not. For instance, if you read the menu closely, several of the more "expensive" meals contain a whole chicken. Throw in all the other goodies, rice, refillable banchan, etc, and it's a feast. I never imagined Corona would attract a Korean restaurant of this caliber. And shucks, I missed out on the fried chicken this time around. I can assure you, that will not happen again. Maybe tomorrow? Question is, what will you be doing tomorrow?

Ran across this place randomly after work and it's a solid spot if you're in the area for a quick korean food spot The soups were great and can definitely fill two people per order. The fried chicken was also pretty good. My favorite was definitely the cutlet and their curry sauce is great. The restaurant was also clean with plenty of room with the two servers being super nice too.

We tried the restaurant again after its recent makeover, and the ambiance is definitely an upgrade with more seating, better flow, and it no longer feels cluttered. Service was just okay. Our food came out timely, but it took longer than expected just to place the order. When we asked for a "setup," our server wasn't familiar with what that meant, which was a bit surprising but I guess that's not common terminology for napkin and utensils. I also was overwhelmed by the menu since it had so much words and no photos. You had to watch food slides that were rolling through the TV screens to get an idea of what menu items looked like. We ordered the crunchy whole chicken with Sweet & Spicy and Soy Garlic sauces, both were flavorful, and the crunch was on point. Really solid in that department. I was a little disappointed there wasn't an option to get crunchy popcorn chicken tossed in any of the signature sauces that would've been a great addition. Overall the food will bring me back for more, I just hope for more flexibility in some ordering.

Great service, great banchan, and great food options! I will definitely be coming here for my Korean food cravings in Corona!

The food was good, but the half & half fried chicken entree was not as juicy. It was a bit dry. It comes with cabbage salad and pickled radish too. The garlic soy flavor is good! We also got original. It's a whole chicken cut up, it looks like. I thought it would be a bunch of chicken wings and drumsticks, but it's a whole chicken cut into 14 pcs. 7 original, 7 soy garlic. Overall, I would come back! We had a table of 12 people. We were here for lunch! The food came out very quickly. Prices are pretty on point. We also got the chicken bulgogi special which came with rice, the main dish, ban chan sides (mashed potatoes, bean sprouts, kimchi, kimchi cucumber, fish cake), and a really delicious soup with tofu and Korean radish. Service was pretty quick, she was great!!

I'm a Korean who has lived in Corona for 15 years, and this is the best Korean restaurant in the area. Since discovering this place, I've been coming here every other day trying different items on the menu. There honestly isn't a single dish that doesn't taste good. I really hope this restaurant stays in Corona for a long time, especially since there aren't many delicious Korean restaurants around here. You must try the spicy pork (jeyuk bokkeum). The beef short rib soup is also absolutely delicious. The skewers, K-street food items, and the chicken are all great too.

Great OG Korean food. The air dishes are awesome. The fried chicken was crispy and lightly battered. The soy garlic flavor was perfect. The seafood pancake will full of onion and seafood. It's also pretty large. I like they have table and bar options for seating. We will definitely be back.

My hubby and I were in Corona Ca and decided to try ON Korean Kitchen for dinner. We were happy that we tried it. The food here is fresh and very tasty. We started off with some Spicy chicken skewers and then my hubby ordered the spicy pork dish which he loved! I had their Soy garlic wings. They were delicious! They also serve their yummy bonchon too. The pickled cucumbers and their yummy potato salad and the sesame salad & their kimchi salad too. All of them were delicious. The service was awesome too! Our waitress was so nice and attentive . We will definitely be back to try a few more of their dishes here at the ON Korean kitchen restaurant in Corona Ca.

The city is so lucky to have such a neat barbeque spot that serves all the best Korean and Japanese-Style dishes, from deliciously-smothered chicken wings to kalbi ribs that will delight you to the moon! Located behind the large plaza by the Starbucks, you'll walk in to a nicely decorated restaurant. It's like a half restaurant and then there's a bar at the back. It's a family-operated establishment, so there's usually just one or two persons to serve you there. There is definitely a longer wait for your food to arrive at your table, but it's totally worth the wait! Just hang out and chat with your party and soon enough, you will be blessed with the delicious grub! Our table got the kalbi ribs and also the Chicken Katsu (what I ordered) and it was so good! Just the right crispiness and the macaroni salad was just right. Highly recommend coming to HI BBQ!

We went super late at night. This is the only place that opens until late. The place isn't full so we were seated immediately. Service was good because they kept coming back to check on us and refilled out water without us asking. The food was extremely delicious! The wings and gimbap. I just wished they had boneless!

My second time coming here in one week!!!! I love the food, the service, the staff, the cleanliness. It's everything! They don't make you feel rushed, it's got a very comforting, welcoming atmosphere. The food is amazing. I love their chicken wings, spicy rice cakes, short ribs and braised ribs too. So good. So happy to finally have quality Korean food in corona.

This place is hidden but you can see the sign from the 15 freeway. I came after the gym with my sister and got seated immediately and they served us water as well. The waitress was nice and the food came out at a decent time. I liked how the waitress was on it refilling our sides as well we're running low. I had the dumpling and tofu stew (slightly spicy and came with an egg and very flavorful) and my sister had the bulgogi stew (light taste but had a good amount of meat). Both stews came out hot which I loved and both were very filling. This is a family friendly place to eat and the ambiance was quiet and welcoming .

This place has blacked out windows. But don't let that turn you away. Upon walking in I was really skeptical of how this place was going to be. They use paper plates and plastic utensils. There's clutter EVERYWHERE. Supplies packed on counters, chairs it's just insanity inside. But after all that? Let me get into why it's 4 stars. The food. And the service. Greeted immediately. Ordered the garlic soy hot wings. Anytime I see fried korean wings. I have to try it. I haven't found a better tasting Korean fried chicken than a place called "KyoChon" but let me tell you. THIS place ranks up there with them. The chicken is cooked to perfection. Perfectly crispy. Perfectly seasoned. Perfect garlic soy hot wings. If you're familiar with Korean spicy wings. You're going to LOVE these. They're top notch. I even went back after lunch to get dinner and get MORE wings. It was THAT good lol. So would I recommend this place? Most definitely. Their wings are absolutely legit. Only reason for 4 stars and not 5. Is because of the interior. But the food and service 100% makes up for that. Enjoy!

The Pad Thai was delicious with a great sauce. I didn't even bother to write a review at that time, but had submitted five photos, some good, others not, that told the tale. So this time, with some trepidation, we gave them a second chance. Glad we did. This time was different. Two dishes, the black bean ribs and the salt & pepper pork chops, turned out great. Not only did they have good flavor, both dishes were quite generous and meaty. And if we had stopped ordering right there, I wouldn't have had any reason to drop a star. It was the dim sum that almost ruined it. The siu mai (8 pcs) were small and oddly fishy tasting, lacking the traditional aromatics. One bite and I knew there was no way I would continue eating them. No reason to bring them home either. Was I willing to just throw away my $13? No. Disappointed, I bravely told the server, and then, the manager. I got a "deer in the headlights" response, followed with a "what's wrong with it" query. Awkward moment. But, minutes later, the server returned from the back kitchen, and the most miraculous, unexpected thing happened. She said they would take it off my bill! Honestly, I was not expecting any resolution. But in wisely doing this, they frankly rescued the situation and my attitude. I respected that one gracious gesture. So, while the siu mai will still never be anything I order here, there is a vast menu to explore, and a few dishes I already know will not let me down. Two of these were from our first time, the char siu baos and the shrimp with scrambled egg. These were good. That said, this is a decent business that proved they wanted my business.
