The chicken was so delicious, crispy and juicy. The best fried chicken we've had in years

Kids, in general, love chicken, be it wings or tenders. And let's not forget the fries. So naturally, we look for places like this. We have two hungry, fast growing munchkins who come to Grandma and Grandpa's house after school sometimes. It's so much easier than cooking. This place has evolved over the years. It's not just chicken anymore. Regrettably, almost everything here is fried, but they are expanding their menu to appeal to a bigger audience, including fried or steamed seafood, burgers, and a couple Middle Eastern selections. While most items are not exactly healthy, the one nice aspect is to have choices of how big you want to make your order of fried whatevers. So we got 6 tenders to make sure the hungry boy would manage to live until dinnertime. Our dainty granddaughter chose a fried shrimp plate, and two gyro wraps were for us two adults. It was all good. The tenders were moist and fairly big, and got a major thumbs up, the shrimp were beautifully plump with a light crispy coating, and the gyros meat was a nice surprise, not the rectangular, cookies cutter meat slices that come from a big food supplier. This gyro meat seemed more authentic. It came in chunks and had a nice herbal profile. They each came with a big pile of French fries. The hollow legged little people were appeased and very happy. This is a small operation. Plan on waiting a bit longer than the ubiquitous fast food joints. In all, I think you will be pleasantly surprised, just as I was. read more

Let me preface this by saying I appreciate the owner of the restaurant for reversing the transaction for our experience after calling them about the food. Still pending refund 12/31/2025. Onto the review (12/28/2025): Word around town is this place has the best chicken. With that, expectations for the food were extremely high. We were super excited to try the food! Little did we know, we'd be in for a surprise. We ordered 10 bone-in wings with a side of fries. After quite a wait, the aroma of the chicken smelled sooo good we couldn't wait to dig in!! I can't lie to you guys, we barely picked through 4 wings between 2 people & threw it away. I'm not sure who started the rumor that this restaurant has the best chicken around because our food was absolutely horrible - the chicken wings were oily, half of the skin was salty as ever & the other half had 0 flavor. 3 out of 10 wings were pink and undercooked. The side of French fries had no salt, no seasoning, no nothing. Ranch was gross. I can't believe we waited 15 minutes for this. Definitely would not return here. Popeyes, Krispy Krunchy Chicken in the gastation, or literally any other chicken joint easily surpasses this place by a landslide. I'd probably even give KFC a chance over this place omg. read more

I kept seeing this lil hidden chicken spot while wrkn and finally got to stop by because if there's one thing I love it's chicken wings. The service was good and the place is small and real chill. It is made to order chicken so it will take a min to get your food. Unfortunately the chicken wings just didn't hit the way I wanted. The chicken was fried nice so that was a plus. It's just The lemon pepper flavor wasn't up to par at all and the honey hot flavor was just decent. The fries needed seasoning. Pretty good hole in the wall place... Parking was a little bit tight but when you see a drive-thru liquor store, you're at the right spot. It's basically a diner that serves halal dishes. From fried chicken, fried seafood, and a number of sides and sandwiches. The staff were pretty nice and did mention it would be a little wait. I went for a takeout and it seems they cook what you order when you order and not in advance. I was pleasantly surprised with my food. I got some fish and fries and some bone in chicken and onion rings. The fish were okay but the fries/rings/chicken were spot on. They were all crispy. You're given the option for what part of the chicken, and even how spicy you want it. The onion rings were made pretty well... and yeah. Pretty generous portions as well. I like it how it's in the middle of a neighborhood and it sells good food. Since I had my food to go, they mentioned to keep the lids open so that they won't be soggy. That tip, really helped :) It's a little difficult to eat in there tho as smell of the food would definitely stick to your clothes. Will definitely return. read more

My partner and I had been eyeballing this place for a good minute. When we finally went, the gal at the counter was super patient with our indecisiveness and not at all tight. She gave us extra sauces without acting annoyed, which we really appreciated. Second time same thing. We wanted to try different sauces and still had questions (their menu is big!), and again, she was helpful, friendly, and patient. Now let's get down to the nitty gritty, the fried chicken is some of the best we've had. Honestly, it even beats a few spots we've tried in Los Angeles! Which is awesome, because who wants to drive far every time they want good food? Nice little spot very clean and dine in friendly with plenty room. One tip: if you're debating between bone-in and tenders, go with bone-in. Way more flavorful--and that's coming from a girl who used to hate bone-in anything. Amazing and fresh shrimp and chips! I stopped by around 8:30pm looking for a snack before heading home. The parking in the area was a bit hard since the lot was full so I ended up parking on the street. The service was great and I waited about 15 minutes with about 2 bigger parties ahead of me. I got the 5 piece shrimp and chips and it was absolutely delicious! The fries were fresh and super crispy and the shrimp was great as well. Better than Raisin Cane! Chicken tenders are meatier and juicer with just as crispy and exterior. Takes a little longer to cook because there is more meat in each strip. The fried chicken is just as good. If they still have the jumbo shrimp available, we'll worth the price for really big and crispy shrimp. The seasoning is a must. The food was really good! I got the 3 piece chicken tenders and a side of Mac and Cheese. The chicken tenders were so good and crispy. The mac and cheese was good as well! The service was great, the person working at the register was very polite and attentive. I put 4 stars because it was extremely hot inside the restaurant. I'm not sure if the AC went out inside, but it was unbearably hot. It was 110 degrees today in Corona so walking into the restaurant with no AC was a little unpleasant. Tonight there was one clerk and one cook (Jose, I think it was) huge shout out to both of you!! This place is the best spot for fried chicken. I've only gotten the chicken finger meal with French fries and have also tried the mac n cheese The fried chicken is delicious i usually go for the medium heat, but the sauces are what make me also keep coming back, the garlic butter with nashvilles hot sauce should be illegal it's so delicious. And sweet and sour is also very good but the garlic butter is superior here for me. So where do I start! I've had this place bookmarked on Yelp for awhile now. Since I wasn't too far from it, I decided to try it. I ordered the chicken and shrimp combo, which I thought was $12.99, but was charged $13.86 for it, because I paid with a card. Their menu should reflect card prices, and give a discount if paying with cash. It was 3 people that came in after me, and none of them paid with cash. As my food was being prepared, I asked the cashier, what kind of sauces do they have. She points to the end of the counter and says, "I made a sign over there". It's not what she said, but HOW she said it. One customer came in and as he was in the middle of placing his order, the phone rang. The cashier just picked up the phone while the man was ordering! Didn't say anything like, "Can you give me a second, pardon me..." Nothing. The man just looked at her and put his hand on his hip, as though he was irritated. I would have been irritated too! I'm in the middle of ordering and someone just picks up the phone while I'm talking and in mid sentence. Anyhow, the chicken was good and fresh and the shrimp were a nice size. Crispy Chicken Kitchen seemed to have pretty decent reviews yet many reviews commented on the time it took to get their food. Good quality seemed not to be the issue. CCK is a nice little place that has, from my experience, relatively decent service and appears clean and maintained. I ordered the 4 piece chicken (dark meat/mild) and 6 piece jumbo shrimp. Apparently they didn't have the smaller shrimp but I was okay with that. Their ice machine was broken and waiting on repair however that was no deal breaker since I typically order my drinks with no ice. I was told when I ordered that it would take about 20 minutes. There were two separate people waiting on their order when I arrived and one walk in who apparently ordered by phone. With all that it took about 25 minutes for my order to come out. I took it to go since I was less than 10 minutes away. I liked that the gal left the lid open on the to go container. Initially I was goi g to close it and then I realized she left it open intentionally, so everything would stay crispy. And it did. When I got home and dig in everything was as I hoped. The chicken was still crispy, warm, juicy, with flavor. Same for the shrimp. And the fries also kept their crisp. Everything was as good as I had hoped, no disappointment here. And the garlic sauce was pretty good as well. I knew there could be a wait for the order but I am completely cool with that. It just means my meal isn't sitting under a heat lamp waiting to be ordered and served. They cook my meal when I order, that to me is something worth waiting for. If you want fast food, go to a fast food place. Now, I did read some people sharing they waited 50+ minutes for two chicken sandwiches, that is a mighty long time. I just did not have that experience. I think the 25 minutes I waited was reasonable, especially since I was extremely happy with the meal. And heck, some headphones and watching something I am streaming made the time pass quickly. It was worth the wait I will be back! The last thing I will add is I did not try any of the sides. I did read some mix reviews and I will try some next time. For now I can say the regular fries are yummy. As always, your mileage may vary. read more

I am going to have give this place a 1 star. It hasn't even been 3 months since this place has opened and there is already a quality control issue: a piece of hair was inside of the chicken. I was enjoying my sandwich only for me to take a bite and find a piece of my hair in my mouth that was inside the chicken. This was disgusting. For any new establishment, you'd think they'd care about quality control and food safety but it's the exact opposite. The fries were below average. Service is sub-par. I asked for half bbq and half buffalo on the wings, only to get full bbq. Order took about 30 minutes after placing. I was heading to riverside and stopped here along the way.
