I was surprised to find tasty Thai food in a shopping mall. The restaurant was not too busy when I was there but it was close to the middle of the afternoon. The wait staff was super friendly and I loved the decor. We ordered two dishes: pork belly krapow and basil chicken fried egg. They mentioned that the mild spicy was not really that spicy so I got the basil chicken mild and my friend got the pork belly krapow as medium spicy. The flavor of the basil chicken was really excellent but it was way too spicy for me. After trying my friend's "medium " krapow, we realized that her dish was mild and mine was medium. They had mixed up the spice levels between our dishes. Good thing we were doing family style! I'll make this nice and simple: Pad Thai - Usually combines many different flavor components that is supposed to harmonize but this pad thai was one of the weirdest tasting ones I've ever had. Would not recommend Pineapple Fried Rice and Chicken Satay - extremely bland, the peanut sauce for the Chicken Satay was just okay too. There was also a weird smell while we were eating in the restaurant. Not sure if it was coming from the bathroom nearby (hope not). This just isn't the spot for Thai food, especially if you're from San Gabriel Valley area (or any California city with more Asians overall) where there are countless better, tastier options. The food here is pricey. The green curry's very bland and watered down. The pork skewers are more like pork patties and unappetizing, so not what you'd expect. My mom felt sick eating this. I'm very disappointed to leave this review because we started coming here a year ago and we loved it but I am not sure if they have changed their recipes recently or what is going on but their food is no longer the same. We just ordered pad Thai and shrimp spring rolls and they had absolutely no flavor at all. I did not even finish our meal because it was so bland and just did not taste good. My in-laws wanted to meet us for LUNCH in Corona. My father in law only eats healthy foods so they had a nice selection of fish and veggies. Our friends treated us to lunch yesterday here and we all enjoyed the delicious choices. We ordered Krapow Spicy Basil chicken, Fresh Spring Rolls, Thai BBQ chicken, Beef broccoli, Fried rice and chow mein with chicken and beef. The portions were very generous and we all had enough leftovers for dinner! The service was excellent, very prompt and helpful. My girlfriend and I have visited this restaurant twice now and I can say they do drunken noodles really well here! We love their drunken noodles, the first time we got it with chicken and our most recent time with shrimp, and it hasn't disappointed! They add the right amount of sauce and cook the bell peppers till they're soft but still a little crunchy. We also got some panang curry, which I enjoyed, but we both thought the curry had a very strong lime taste/smell to it which sort of overpowered the dish. I would still be interested in trying a different curry as I usually prefer green ones! And lastly, the sticky rice. The first time we came it was perfection - soft, sticky rice that wasn't too sweet nor over/undercooked and the mango as perfectly ripe and sweet. However, the second time we came, the sticky rice was still great, but the mango was really unripe which made it hard to chew and enjoy. Perhaps it was already no longer mango season, but it was disappointing nonetheless. Overall, service is efficient and very prompt with giving you any extra hot sauce or drinks if you ask, and the food comes out moderately quick. The first time we came it was super empty and we got to choose where we wanted to sit, whereas the second time it was slightly busier but still easy to find a table and get served. I definitely enjoyed the food here and when I'm in the area and have a Thai craving this is the spot I go to! We absolutely love coming to Thai Lotus. We usually start our meal with Thai Tea and an appetizer. This meal we got fish cakes because I was rage crazing them. The cucumber, peanut sauce that accompanies the fish cakes is so stupid good. Deep and refreshing. Next time I will ask for a side of sauce too because I ended up dipping my tofu in that sauce as well. My husband got his regular cashew nut and he is always pleased with his meal. My personal favorites were this fried fish thing I'm sorry I don't know the name and the pad Thai and pad see ew dishes. The salad they served also had ample amounts of cucumber cut in super cute shapes and the best peanut dressing that was quite addictive. The service I'll say was super good, we were easily a party of 50 and they were very attentive and kind to all of our little requests. The place is actually quite small so luckily we were the only people there at the time bc I don't think not a lot of people could have fit outside of our group. My only suggestion would be for a thicker/creamier curry because it seemed a little watery. The crying tiger had a nice flavor by itself but paired with the sauce was perfect. i went in today around 2 pm and there weren't that many people, so they let me choose my table ! i ordered the golden bags (crab rangoon), the pad see lew, thai iced tea, & i took a mango sticky rice to go ! everything was so delicious & yummy - especially their thai iced tea; it is so authentic in flavor & its not too sweet ! on a separate visit, i also tried their papaya salad and thai fried rice - both of these are so tasty as well (though please do note that the medium spice level on the papaya salad tastes like hot, so if you arent too good with spice, go down one spice level). the waitress was very kind and the restaurant itself is so beautiful; there's a big mural, lots of plants, & lots of little trinkets that decorate the front. my only complaint is that the prices they offer on the menu in person is more expensive than the prices they offer on doordash (for pick up only, not delivery). for example, the price i paid for the golden bags in person was $8.49, where as on doordash, i would only pay $7.49. or for the pad see lew, i paid $17.95 in person, but on doordash it is only $15.95. so if you are not dining in & just ordering takeout, i recommend ordering through doordash pick up to save some bucks ! please do give this restaurant a try if you enjoy thai food ! read more

Wife had orange chicken. To me, all orange chicken is the same from place-to-place. Not so. This was unquestionably the best orange chicken I have had. Outstanding. I had the spicy beef salad. It was also terrific. The food here is unequaled among Thai restaurants. The prices, well they are a little high...about $17.95 and up for most dishes. The appetizers are cheaper. Finding a good Thai food places out in the lower end of the Inland Empire can be a daunting task. You'll have to drive from one location to another and risk it all, your appetite and stomach. We have ordered through DoorDash on several occasions during COVID-19 lockdown from here and the food was very tasty. We decided to visit in person this time, for the 1st time! Tucked in the Dos Lagos plaza adjacent to so many shopping and restaurants, Thai Lotus has quite a bit of menu to offer. Parking is not an issue. There are plenty of parking spots throughout Dos Lagos. However, patrons prefers to park as close to their place of choice as possible. I prefer to park a little further so I can walk and checkout the local shops after dinner. The entrance offer a double entree that opens up to the main floor where a receptionist/waitress greets you with warm smiles and offers you a table, should the line of patrons be short. There are about 9/10 tables and booths seating anywhere from 4-6; I'm sure they can squeeze another seat or two if needed for bigger groups. We proceeded to look at the menu and ordered our drinks first follow by the main entrees. Here is what we tried: : Thai Boat noodles (Spicy) : Pah-Saw-Eww (Stir Fry Noodles) w/ Beef : Fish Cakes (fried) : Singha Beer and Asahi Beer The fish cakes appetizers were a bit spicy (for me) but has great flavoring overall and parred well with the cucumber peanut sauce that came with it for dipping. The Thai Boat broth is very good, tasty and full of flavors. I just tried the soup base as added item to my stir fry noodles. My wife tried the entire Thai Boat and fell in love with it. It reminded her of eating Thai Boat noodles in Long Beach where the taste and flavors are in full explosion and savory. The only missing ingredient /garnish is the Chinese water-crest that is usually a staple of Thai Boat. The Stir Fry Noodles on the other hand, which is what I ordered to dine on, was also amazing and tasty. The noodle texture was not over cooked nor undercooked; just right. The flavoring and added scrambled eggs was very consistent, along with the Chinese Broccoli veggies, making the noodles come out on every bite. Most folks would further garnish their stir fry with soy sauce, hoisun sauce, chili sauce, etc to taste. THIS dish as it was brought out was just amazing as is already. I did not have to add anything extra. I had to hold myself back from ordering another plate. To add a robust flavor to it all, sipping or downing a cold glass of Singha Beer (Thai beer) after enjoying a flavorful and tasty meal was so so satisfying. I felt like no matter what was happening that day, it ended on a good positive note because the food was just incredibly delicious.We will be back again. We ordered the pineapple fried rice, Pad See Ew, mango salad, and Thai iced green tea. The pineapple fried rice is the best that I have ever tired! I could easily eat this everyday. This pineapple fried rice hits differently and it's comforting. The pineapple is fresh. You can guarantee to get 3 shrimp every time. The shrimp are small yet plump and cooked perfectly. I usually love this place for the yummy food but the last time we were here we didn't have great service. We ordered our drinks, water and a Thai tea. We also placed our food order. Water and our food were delivered on a timely schedule when my mom realized she didn't get a Thai tea. She brought that to the attention of the waitress and the waitress reacted as if she knew she had forgotten something! We told her we know she's very busy.
