This is my go to restaurant for whenever I am in need of a large meal that is still affordable. The location is very convenient for me and the people here are often very quick and efficient. I wanted to do something nice to appreciate my team at work, so I called ahead the night before to order a big order of 40 burritos for the next morning. They were super professional, courteous and helpful, gave me an initial quote and scheduled a pickup time that worked for me. The next morning when I arrived, I was a little early, because I expected complications (no one passing on the order to the morning crew, e.t.c). I was pleasantly surprised they had the order almost completely done. Not only that, they were able to give me a discount that saved me a lot! Again everyone was super courteous and helpful, and they packaged them up just like I needed, so I could distribute them to different work sites. I asked for half sweet & half unsweetened tea & it was nice to see she even wrote it on the lid. I believe her name was Mariah, but she had dark brown hair. I love Del Taco, but this location's Drive-thru is like traffic on the 91, whether its long or short. Each time I go I always find time to work on my farmers tan (full sun through the drive-thru), read a book, pop a zit (not really), watch people eat their entire meal outside, and massage my feet. I'm not sure why service is inefficient. I've been to other locations, like the one next to the 91 on Main, and they have a small crew that could crank orders out like Michael Phelps. At this location, I've seen a bigger crew, but the orders come out like sloths. Maybe they should shadow other chains like Mcdonalds or In-n-out, since they often get long lines and are able to crank out orders efficiently. I'll still go here, but not when I'm in a rush. I usually get my usual #5 (2 chicken soft tacos with fries and a drink). Most of the time I Macho it. Cheddar Quesadillas are delish at Del Taco but this location always puts green sauce in it (I don't like). Of course I always forget to tell them, but sometimes they ask if it's ok or not. Crinkle-cut fries make my toes curl - especially with the mild sauce instead of ketchup. Wanna talk more fries?!?!?! The "Deluxe" Chili Cheddar Fries are Frreaakkinn Amazing! I could keep the fries goin - they also have Carne Asada Fries that are just as good!!! I sometimes get their Tostada salad (or was it Taco Salad?) but it didn't make it on their new updated menu). I'm bummed that they got rid of the tostada salads! I recently tried their Churro they keep trying to sell me through the drive-thru and my sweet tooth approves! Just as good as a Disneyland Churro!!! I hope they pay attention to reviews and use it to improve their business. Okay so I took and signed up on the app registered and everything and it says for registering your email and so forth we will give you two free Del Taco tacos. Hey sounds like a good idea right. So I sign up on the app and then I walk over there and I understand that their dining room is closed the door is open no problem I go up to the counter to just pick up a couple of free tacos that they claim to give you and I am told the dining room is closed we can't help you and I'm like well what do you want me to do walk through your drive through then ? no you can only go through there if you have a car. And I'm like look I'm here I signed up for your app why don't you just make up two tacos give them to me and I walk out and it's over done deal. No we can't help you you can't be in here you have to leave so does it fall under the lines of false advertising, just rude customer service which is actually zero customer service or what. This Del Taco sucks!!! I've gone through it before in a car only because it's pretty much the only thing open at sometimes in the morning and the food is greasy but hey I still eat it cuz I'm starved. You know thankfully there's a Jack In The box across the street that's open 24 hours and they don't treat their customers like crap like this place does plus there's the brand new raising Cane's restaurant right across the parking lot from them which is open till 3:00 in the morning on the weekends and their food is awesome so are their employees raising Canes is great. But I digress getting back to the problem at hand I would give this place Del Taco a -10 star review if they had such a thing but unfortunately a one star is the lowest rating that I can give them. When I asked to speak to a live person, the DT employee came on and asked "What's wrong with the order?" I told her that the robot had my order wrong, she asked what I wanted and after I told her, she said that's exactly what it was in the computer. I tried to explain to her that that's not what I heard on my end, and instead of apologizing, and just making sure it was correct she wanted to argue with me about the fact that the order was correct.
