The food over all is okay. I had been here many times before and enjoyed the experience, but this time was very different, and makes me rethink my fond thoughts about this place. Cleanliness of the restaurant was surely lacking, and the amount of time I spent in this restaurant was way too long, waiting on our food, when there were only about 3 or 4 other tables. The food is a bit pricey for what they offer. Sitting down at the booth, the table cloth was dirty and there were spots of splattered sauce on the wall next to us. The floor was dirty and the restaurant itself had an odd odor, smelling a little like half cleaned tables with lemon spray and soured rags. If I were going to get food from this place again, I would make sure to ONLY use their take out service. read more

The beef pho was very good. Portion size was good and was more than enough but no extra to take home. I would get this again.

The food was very good- a solid 4 stars. The service, while quite friendly, was not good- I'd give it 2.5 stars. First the food- we went with a party of 4. We ordered veggie/tofu summer rolls and fried veggie dumplings as starters. The summer rolls with their peanut sauce were delicious. The dumplings we received were chicken, not veggie, but the non-vegetarians at our table liked them (we did not bring the mistake to the attention of our server for reasons I'll explain shortly). Among the entrees, the bulgogi beef was a hit. The grilled tofu with thin vermicelli was delicious- the tofu was firm and lightly charred. The V-Box comes with a smaller version of an entree (in this case grilled chicken with rice vermicelli) plus two dumplings, a spring roll, and a summer roll- all very good. Another grilled chicken entree with vermicelli was served as a bowl with cucumber and carrots, and was also quite good. Portions are very generous, and the dishes are very nicely presented. Now the service. Again, everyone was very friendly. We walked in and were told to pick a table. It took a long time before someone brought us menus, and longer for water. And then it took a while before someone came to take our order. While the waitress was in the middle of taking our order, another customer came up and told her that they were leaving without ordering because the service was too slow. Our appetizers came out after another long wait. I bit into what was supposed to be a veggie dumpling and realized it was chicken (I'm a vegetarian). We debated whether to tell the waitress but decided not to because we didn't want to wait for another order. I suppose we could have asked for them to be taken off the bill, but everyone else at the table was happy to eat them. Small plates for the appetizers would have been nice since both dishes came with dipping sauces; without them we ended up dripping a lot of sauce on the table. When our food came out, the V-Box contained a shrimp summer roll instead of the chicken roll that had been ordered. We did point this out to the waitress as she set it down, and she apologized and brought out a chicken summer roll a few minutes later. Water glasses were not refilled the entire 2 hours we were there, and no one checked in on us after the food was delivered. The two appetizer plates weren't cleared, even though they were empty when our entrees were delivered. Our server just pushed them aside to make room on the table. Tables around us remained piled with food and plates long after customers had left. Another long wait for the check, and then to get it taken care of once we'd put the credit card out. There seemed to be plenty of staff in the restaurant, but confusion about who was doing which tasks, maybe. The issues mentioned above aren't big deals on their own, but taken together they made for a less enjoyable experience than it could have been. This is a new place; I'm hoping the service will improve with time because we all enjoyed our meals. We'll try again in a few months. read more

Delicious Pho!!! We had beef, chicken, and vegetable pho, bulgogi, and a pork banh mi. All broths were flavorful and delicious! My son also had an order of bulgogi. He is very picky about meat. He enjoyed it very much and ate every last morsel. This was a really nice surprising find on our trip to DE for a soccer tournament. I would be here every week if we lived closer. read more

I can't say enough good things about this place. The Pho is so flavorful, the crepe is crispy and has real Vietnamese herbs and is fresh. So far everything I have ordered has been excellent. Be prepared to wait a little bit since everything is cooked fresh but that's how it should be. read more

Be prepare to get low customer service if you are not Vietnamese. You will see with your eyes that you will not get treated like Vietnamese customer. We were giving incorrect order due to their lack of communication skills. We drove back and gave them back the order. And got accused on we took the wrong order. They gave us the wrong order we didn't snatch it from them. I was asked three times why I took the wrong order. And found out the order we took was for this Vietnamese lady that they comped her food and gave extra food for her. No apologies came from them at all. I just tried this place for the first time. At 3:30 pm, the place was half full, a good sign for off-peak. First thing I noticed was how clean everything was, including the bathroom. Utensils, tables, and floors, it was really nice how everything was spotless. Service was friendly and helpful. I ordered the P2 (beef pho, $9.95) with rare steak, tendon and tripe. When the pho initially arrived, I was disappointed by the size, but happily discovered that the uniquely designed bowl actually held more noodles and broth than it appeared! Broth was very good, beefy yet light. Meat quality was impressive -- tender with no stringiness that you sometimes get in pho. The herbs/sprouts were fresh. It was so good I got another order to go for my husband! I look forward to returning! read more

So good...first of all the decor is really nice for a Vietnamese restaurant. We went here on a whim, as we saw the sign on Kirkwood. We usually have to drive up to Philly for decent Vietnamese food as we have tried other places in Delaware and we were not impressed. Of course, our standards are pretty high being that we lived in California and Seattle where the Vietnamese food is plentiful and amazing. We were SO happy to have found this place!! Like others have stated the pho is awesome. Everything was good and authentic, from the soft shell crab to the chao tom. I literally cannot wait to go back and I was just there yesterday. I thought the service was great too, which is a plus because sometimes you go to a restaurant and everyone looks like they hate their lives. Not here! And the matcha smoothie with boba was excellent. Very nice family atmosphere and is kept well. All of the dishes we tried were fantastic, especially the shrimp Pho and Wanton soup, the broth they use is fantastic quality. I believe it's one of the best places for Pho in Delaware. read more
