The restaurant itself is a typical strip mall pho restaurant. The lemon grass pho with chicken was outstanding. The service is mediocre again what one would expect in one of these small restaurants. The reason for the three for my rating was the table where I sat, had every plastic soup spoon with debris on them. You may think this is petty however it's the little things that matter in a restaurant, the attention to detail, one had to notice those spoons because they had to be stacked in their holder. I will preface this review by saying that I went out of my way to come try this spot because of the high reviews on Yelp. While I thought it is fine for a neighborhood Vietnamese spot, it was not worth going out of the way to come here. We tried the bun bo hue (beef lemongrass pho) and a combo of beef pho and a pork hoagie. The lemongrass pho had pork feet, 4 small pieces of beef, and 3 slices of Vietnamese ham. Aside from the spice, the broth lacked depth. The hoagies were small and was mostly just bread with very little meat. In general, I found their portions to be small and the ratio of meat to stuff (noodles, bread, etc) is rather low. The combo portions are the same size as the kids portions. The server said that it is roughly 2/3 of the regular portion but I think it is less than that. On the plus side, I think they've done a good job of adapting their menu to appeal to people that are not familiar with Vietnamese food. read more

I'm very surprised this place has such a high rating. First off, this place is dirty. If you look at the walls, you can see precious food splatters? Bathrooms are not clean.. I would rather not go into detail why. The waiter was pleasant but was bilingual which is a plus. The food itself was so far from traditional Vietnamese food. I would say this place caters to people who have never tried Vietnamese food before. Would not take my grandmother here. Pho dac biet 4/10: The broth was mid. At least there was a fair amount of meat Bun Bo hue 6/10: The broth was good, a tad too spicy. I only mention the spiciness because it feels like more spice was added to hide the lack of flavor. Fair amount of meat Bun V box 2/10: I liked the idea of a small portion of everything. The only thing good about this box was the noodles. The summer roll and spring roll both lacked flavor. The dumplings and the sauce were sweet which was not a good thing.. Coconut juice -2/10: Really disappointed that the drink came with a spoon but no coconut meat. The waiter waited until we asked and then told us that they ran out of coconut meat. It felt really odd that he waited until AFTER I received the drink and took a sip. Iced Vietnamese coffee 1/10: Probably made from powder and water. The drip device wasn't there.. The coffee was filled with so much ice that the lid was popping off. Probably the best Vietnamese place in the area. Went in to sit down and eat, and what I assume was one of the owners greeted me kind of oddly. Hard to describe, and I shrugged it off. When he came to give me water, he also brought the herbs and jalapeños they typically serve with Pho, which I thought was odd, and not very sanitary, given he left it on the table as I looked at the menu. He just assumed I was ordering Pho I guess, but I ordered vermicelli, so he took the untouched herbs and jalapeños away. I also asked if the vermicelli was served with a fried egg. In Vietnam, rice dishes often come with a fried egg, and it's delicious. So I wanted an egg on the vermicelli. He acted like I was crazy for asking. After going back and forth, he finally said I could add an egg, which I did. I also ordered fresh shrimp and pork rolls, but they were forgotten. It took an incredibly long time to get my order, and as I watched other tables, I could see their frustration with how long it took to be greeted, take their order, and deliver their food. My meal was finally delivered, and when I asked the person about my fresh spring rolls, he acted confused, but came with them a few minutes later. When I got my check, the spring rolls were not on it, which is why the waiter was confused. At least they didn't charge me for them. It sounds like I'm leaving an unfavorable review, but I'm just being honest about the service aspect. The food itself was excellent...I'd say a 4.5; service was a 3.5, thus the 4.0 review. However, when I tried the food, I found it to be just decent; none of the dishes lived up to being described as "very delicious." The customer service was terrible, rated at 0/10. Saw a nice review on this place from a fellow yelper, so my partner and I stopped here for lunch on our way to the casino. We started off with an iced Vietnamese coffee, which was strong and tasty! We then shared a pork fried roll which was perfectly fried and came out piping hot.  Along with the ground pork was a good mix of a few different veggies and cellophane noodles...dip them in the sweet and sour sauce and you have a delicious appetizer. Partner had the grilled pork with rice and egg accompanied with fresh lettuce, tomato and shredded carrots.  The pork was tender and perfectly grilled. A great dish overall! I had the beef pho with sliced steak, brisket and beef balls.  The meats were delicate and flavorful...everything about this dish was delicious! Been on a Vietnamese kick lately. Came down to Delaware to see a nearby baseball card show and found this within striking distance. The V box was perfect to sample everything. Stopped in here for some Pho on a rainy day. Reading the reviews, I was coming in expecting a decent pho experience but I was expecting more. We got in for dinner time on a Wednesday night with a few tables filled. We were lucky to get in before the "dinner" rush. Due to Covid, there were a lot of pick up to go orders and they were focusing on them when we came in. We sat and waited to be sat in some "royal" seating décor. My boyfriend felt prince like while waiting. There was an awkward swing inside too...odd We sat and previewed the menu even though we knew what we wanted. Pho with some bubble tea and a Durian shake. My boyfriend ordered P2 which was pho with three meats while I ordered P5, pho with all the meats; steak, tripe, beef ball, tendons and brisket. The pho size had me wanting more. Served in a square bowl, there wasn't much noodles for a meal that was around $14. There were a few pieces of small tripe and a beef ball sliced into quarters. Our drinks were made from powder as they tasted a little like medicine with my "durian" smoothie tasting nothing like durian. Whether it's been powder in the past or frozen durian with the pungent aroma, this one tasted like coconut which wasn't even an option for a smoothie. I ended leaving majority of it on the table when we left, tried to finish it but just wasn't good. The Taro Bubble tea tasted a little bit more like taro though bubbles didn't have much flavor. The service was lackluster. As the night got busier, they seemed to neglect the tables that were already seated. A polite older woman was waiting for a box and the bill majority of our meal from sitting down to almost paying ourselves. Another person just sat themselves as everyone was busy taking care of the take out orders than the patrons that actually came in. I imagine one of the owners of the restaurant was taking orders on the phone while taking care of a table, putting down garnish for their pho and silverware. We were right next to them shaking our heads. Whether they were understaffed or busy, there is a time a place to take care of those that are in your establishment and those on the phone. We were greeted and seated by the most enthusiastic man who was also taking everyone's orders and checking on everyones' meal. We've been to this location before, years ago it was a middle eastern restaurant, so I knew where vPho was, which slightly out of sight @ side of parking lot. This casual spot is good if you are looking for home style cooking. The decor is basic and clean with touches of the Vietnam culture. We started with pan seared teriyaki chicken dumplings. They were very tasty and loved how they had crunchy edges due to being pan seared. My hubby got a Chicken Bahn Mi Hoagie, he gave it a thumbs up. The sandwich was light, with chicken, carrots and a tasty dressing. We decide to split a chicken and shrimp stir fry platter with mixed Chinese vegetables and white rice. My wife and I had been craving Pho and had not really discovered or been searching for to be honest a good Pho please close to home. Our Friday evening with the kids to Vpho was the first outward bound expedition in search of delicious Pho. Tucked away in a small shopping center along Mirkwood highway is where you will find Vpho. It's a small place With tons of character and decor inside. We got our order in pretty quickly and it didn't take long for our two appetizers to hit the table shortly followed by our pho and a grilled chicken rice plate for the kids to share. Pho was delicious and we quickly slurped down every last bit of it and our kids did great with their plate. Everyone was full and happy. Here is the thing about pho. It needs to simmer for a couple of days to get the flavors you want. In This case this was pho that wasn't on par or even average. Lots of water light flavors as if you would make it with in 10 minutes. Clear broth that you with no color. No deep flavor. Probably the most oyster sauce that I had to add to any pho in the valley to add flavor. Disappointed. I think this restaurant is more of a Chinese food place than a Vietnamese pho place . Also service is a bring to your table and never come back place. It's a pay first place and ask for the tip in advance too. Oh and the regular is a kids size for a regular price.
