I am once again very happy to announce that the food was amazing! We started our meal with the garlic edamame which is something on the menu we haven't tried. I would give it a 9/10! It tasted amazing and it was different than usual so that was great, it was a little messy though so I think some wipes would have helped. I then had the boxed shrimp meal. I have literally no regrets. The shrimps were good, the rice was seasoned well and the fruit was a super fun touch! It also came with dumplings, takoyaki and salad. There were so many choices and I that was the best part to me. My boyfriend had the spicy noodle soup ramen and said it was awesome! Lastly, we split some mochi. We got green tea, chocolate and vanilla. The chocolate was my favorite. We had our usual service and he is a delight :) and the ambiance was perfect as usual :)

I don't get the high reviews for this place. The fried food is extremely greasy. The shrimp are particularly poor in quality. The zaru soba was warm and over cooked, the sauce was too sweet, and the restaurant doesn't have wasabi for the sauce. What?! The chicken skewers and edemame were decent. Service was friendly.

Food is reasonable. Service is excellent. Place is a hidden gem as they haven't done much advertising or gotten their liquor license yet (but soon).

Booths with cool decorations and anime playing on TVs.

The food is amazing and the experience is a lot of fun with anime playing on TVs and cool decor.

I'm in Newark every month or so for the restaurants and shopping. I was excited to see this place has opened next to three best Ramen place in N. Delaware. A+++ for the decor. It looks amazing. Ordered the eel meal set with grilled eel, noodles, some kind of cabbage slaw, tiny bit of what tasted like micro diced hard mango (prob pickled veg) and misogynistic soup. Total $19.95. What was good: slaw and miso soup. Average: eel. What was crazy bad? The noodles. It is literally a noodle bar. The noodles were your cheap take-out lo mein. Literally tasted no different from my corner chine food shop. They just opened, so I am hoping they will improve these items. Good Luck.

EVERYTHING YOU WANT AND MORE!!!!! We first visited water street a few months ago. We were tired of…read morethe resort food at GWL and couldn't endure another generic, fast food meal. We started looking up restaurants and Water Street popped up. When we pulled up, we weren't sure if we were at the right place. Based on the raving reviews, we expected a "flashy", fancy place. Instead it was so "unassuming." Upon walking in....it was just what we needed. It felt "home-y." The hostess greeted us with a warm smile and "welcome," along with some salt water taffy. Then we met our server Caden. He was outstanding!!!! He could tell we needed some good food and drinks and boy did he deliver. My husband and I took his recommendations and ordered the "banana old fashion" and crab crostini...HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! Then we met Cassie!!! She'd stopped by to see if our daughter (9) needed a refill. Her personality, hospitality, and attention was incredible. Between Caden and Cassie, we laughed so hard, quickly forgetting about the long day we'd had. Traveling often and coming from PA; good customer service is rare. So to find somewhere that makes us feel "right at home," is a blessing. My husband and daughter agreed, we had to come back. We returned yesterday for the second time but this time with our family (from ATL). We'd spoken (more like bragged) so much about our last experience, that they were just as excited as us to return. Once again, we saw our girl Cassie (who was just as amazing as the first time) and our server Jamie. Everything from the Chesapeake fondue, calamari, and cream of crab soup to the drinks and the double crab cakes (P.S they are huge...could barely eat one) were incredible. By the end of our meal, our family was just as impressed! Thank you Jamie and Cassie for such a unforgettable experience. We will be back again!!!

I had a wonderful experience dining here. We made reservations for an outside table at lunch. Since…read morewe were hungry for seafood, we ordered several things: 1/2 pound of shrimp, fresh grilled fish, crab hush puppies, raw oysters and clams. Everything was great. Probably my favorite things were the crab hush puppies, and the fresh fish, served with pineapple. The entrees came with two sides. Therefore, I tried four sides. The French fries and potato salad were really good. The fresh vegetables had onions in it. I am not a big onion fan. The coleslaw was good. Next time, I will order the fish, with just one side- the potato salad was very large. For an appetizer, I will get the clams again, and the crab hush puppies. Yelp was so helpful guiding me to the hush puppies. The chef prepared our food outstandingly. Coral was are very friendly server. A nice meal with an outstanding server and a view of the water made for an excellent day. The host and the people helping out to clear the table were very nice, also. The vibe at the restaurant was a tropical beach feeling. People were dressed casually, mostly in t-shirts.

Entered the…read morerestaurant and it was empty, however it was a bit of a wait before we were greeted as there was no one at the hostess stand or on the floor. We had to wave down the chef in the kitchen and she was able to alert someone that we were there! Happy that we stayed because the peek in the kitchen we were able to see fresh bread being made and food being prepared that I wanted to eat! After this experience in the beginning, it was all uphill from there from the service of our waitress the big booth seats to the food experience. The only thing we did not enjoy was the French onion soup, which was kind of flavorless, but we took it to go, and I will definitely doctor it up and eat it later for sure. Go here!

The last time, and I mean the last time, I went alone. The place was empty, only a few seniors there eating. my server was slow, and my food was the worse. I spent a small fortune with an appetizer and main entree... I left so disappointed that I spent about $75 was charged a service fee for using my debt card, and I did not enjoy any of my food.
