I have been ordering and dining here for years. I truly is a gem in new castle county. I give it 5 stars for several reasons. First is value. The prices are comparable to every other dive (this not a dive) Chinese place but the food is always very fresh and the place is clean and nice. A place you can go on a date night. I enjoy dining in more than take out there. The customer service is excellent and my food has always been correct. The vegetables are always cooked perfectly they are slightly crisp and never overlooked. They have a crazy all you can eat that I have never participated in. But it is a hell of a deal. They prepare your all you can eat as you finish the dishes. So your food is always prepared for you. It is not scooped out of a steam table. I have had the sushi. I think is tasty even though I don't really like sushi to begin with. I have talked to a few sushi snobs that say this sushi is amazing especially for the value. And the sushi is also all you can eat. The only negative thing about the "all you can eat" is you pay extra for food you don't eat. I actually think it is fair because there are very wasteful people out there. But overall I hope they keep up their standards and keep up the great work! read more

Asian House has a huge menu with something for everyone. I've been here several times mostly through Covid. There dining room is now fully open but I got take out. The ordering menu is online but you do have to call in to order. They have several lunch specials included a few for sushi. I got a few rolls and shrimp spring rolls. The sushi was great but the spring rolls were very "doughy" so I will not be ordering them again. Good lunch spot! read more

I have lost all respect for this restaurant. The underage child who is the waiter (owners kid) lacks some common courtesy, which I understand yes he's young but hire someone professional. The mom/front of house woman tried accusing me of eating off my husbands plate (all you can eat) when I got the standard menu, we both ordered the same item . This was also after the son forgot to place my food order and I had to remind him. The sweet tea tasted like sewer water. We have been going to this sushi place only and drive 1 hour to get there to enjoy sushi we highly enjoy but will not be going to the restaurant anymore. A coworker always stops here for sushi whenever they are in the area. I decided to check this place out. They are currently only open for take out only. I decided to try a bento box for lunch. The shrimp bento box came with seaweed salad, edamame, gyoza, choice of white or brown rice and miso soup. I do wish there were a few more pieces of shrimp. The bento box was pretty tasty. This place was surprisingly good, we ordered chicken pad thai and chicken and broccoli. Along with the godzilla roll and a mango roll (i forget the official name). Let's start with the shushi... These rolls are HUGE, i couldn't even finish mine and it was really good. The godzilla roll we expected to be large but both rolls were quite big and everything was very fresh. The chicken pad thai was quite spicy but my boyfriend didn't mind that. My chicken and broccoli was really good and tasted fresh. I would highly recommend this restaurant for dining in. My wife and I have dined in there three times. The food was It's clean inside, and the service is great. I've had the Mongolian Beef there twice, and roast pork egg foo young. We have tried a few of their sushi rolls (cooked) and they were fresh and tasty. I really like their wonton soup which is very flavorful. The wontons were light and not gummy. They do have an all you can eat option which we haven't tried. I will caution you that if you do take out the food quality suffers. We had issues with not getting items we paid for, and it seems like the food is bland. Not sure if they are using food that may be prepared for the all you can eat that isn't as fresh. The food just tastes bland and doesn't look appetizing. I've had this place bookmarked for months based on a co-workers recommendation and the other night my friend and I were finally able to go for dinner :) They have two menus one that is the regular dinner menu and the other is for the buffet style menu where you can order all that you can eat (this includes appetizers, entrees and sushi!! Amazing !). It's 25$ for the all you can eat but of course if you don't eat all that you order you get charged accordingly (only fair especially for sushi). My friend and I both ordered two special rolls. The sushi rolls took awhile to make but it looked like there was only one sushi chef making all the rolls for the restaurant. I ordered the rocket roll and the spider roll. The rocket roll no joke is the best roll I've had in a very long time ! The spider roll was also delicious! We then ordered some more rolls till we were completely stuffed. My mouth is actually watering just thinking about the sushi we ate! The sushi taste super fresh and the rolls are just beautiful. Sometimes we had to wait a bit in between rolls but it's fine since the quality of the rolls is fantastic. The decor is also very nice inside as well :) great experience and def. Looked at some Chinese food with the best reviews...ordered my normal...chicken and broccoli and got some crab Rangoon and chicken wings. Crab Rangoon was in triangles so the filling was only in the middle and pretty plain crust...not any flavor at all. Chicken wings were cooked in the same grease as the crab Rangoon and it tasted like very very old oil and had a bitter aftertaste. The wings also had ZERO flavor and you would have to sauce them in order to have any hope at flavor. Lastly the chicken and broccoli....it was a more watery sauce than I've had traditionally with this dish and the flavor went right along...watered down and not very impactful. Broccoli and chicken were cooked well but aside from that non eventful. The service was hampered by the child at the door speaking very softly, wearing a mask, and the plexiglass. I had to "huh and "could you repeat that" several times as I could not hear the child speaking so softly" and that is ok I have to tell my own daughter to speak louder and not so soft but my daughter is not at the front of my restaurant serving people. I would give this 2/5 and 3.5 out of 10. I did like the expanded menu but for me it's a one and done. read more

This is currently our favorite Chinese/Japanese eatery. Everything we have had from here has been excellent, from sushi to hot food. Especially awesome is their $19.99 buffet. Normally I would consider that a little steep for a Chinese buffet, where food has been sitting out all day long and you only want to try about a third of what's out anyway. Here, however, the buffet works in this way: there's a specific buffet menu that has appetizers, soups and salads, hot food, and special sushi rolls. Basically their whole regular menu. You order what you want, and they make it fresh for you right then. If you're still hungry after that, you can order again. And again. And again. We've done the buffet twice, and we added up what our food would have cost otherwise and it's come out to about twice what we paid. The special Naruto roll is awesome, especially for those who are watching their carbs. It has several kinds of fish plus avocado, no rice, and is wrapped in a thinly sliced cucumber spiral. The Royal roll, spicy girl roll, the bamboo roll, the Godzilla roll, all of these are amazing. General Tso shrimp is excellent. All of the salads are great, and I could eat their white tuna tata (with thinly sliced jalapeno and ponzu sauce) for every meal. Literally. Definitely check it out! read more

Asian House is a Chinese/Japanese restaurant in the Beaver Brook Plaza strip mall on US-13 northbound. US-13 Southbound access is by the traffic light at the Wawa store. I noticed this restaurant had a grand opening not so long ago and I'd been meaning to try them for some time. What I noticed about this restaurant initially is the decor is rather upscale for a Chinese restaurant but prices are not upscale. They have both Chinese and Japanese sections in the menu. The latter includes sushi selections. This time, I ordered vegetable egg foo young and fried wontons from the Chinese side of the menu. I thought the food was good and rather filling for Chinese food. Service was excellent and very obliging. As a bonus they have wi-fi internet too. All you can eat review - specifically the sushi on the menu Asian House is my first all you can eat joint here in Delaware as I set off to find a decent ayce/buffet sushi place in the Wilmington area. For $22.95 you can order anything and as much off their special all you can eat menu. Ranging from hot foods on the inside of the menu (rice, noodles, meats, veggies, soups, and apps) to sushi on the outside of the menu (special rolls, cooked rolls, raw rolls, and udon noodle soup). No nigiri or sashimi on the ayce menu unfortunately. Let's just say sushi isn't their strong point unless you only love shrimp tempura. I shied away from all the shrimp tempura heavy mayo rolls (probably 75% of the rolls) and narrowed it down to the rolls with the most raw fish. -White Tuna Tartar: tasted like ham -Red Snapper Tartar: very tough and chewy -Black dragon roll: spicy tuna, cucumber, avocado, tobiko - very tasty, spicy tuna looked orange like carrots though, best roll I had -Queen roll - spicy yellow tail, panko, seaweed salad, topped with mango and tuna - the mayo on top was very heavy and overwhelming, but generally it was not bad -Salmon roll: decent, like any other salmon roll -Tuna roll: the fish was terribly dry and flavorless, definitely better when mixed in spicy mayo -Seaweed salad: good The hot food that came sizzling out to a neighboring table smelled amazing so I think if I was crazing something hot and greasy I'd come here and order a la carte instead of off the ayce menu. The management is Chinese so their strong point is most likely the cooked dishes. Service was great, fast and friendly. The place was clean. This is my favorite Asian restaurant and the new all you can eat menu is terrific. The sushi rolls are rolled when you order them so it takes a little while. During the wait order an entree or an appetizer. The best thing to do is order some rolls at the beginning so you can eat the other items while waiting. Great sushi at great prices. I've had A LOT of their sushi but my favorites are the Ocean Roll, Rocket Roll and Asian House. Even their more straightforward rolls are good especially their Alaska roll. Also enjoy their Seafood soup. I've eaten there often pre-Covid and have also done takeout before and now during Covid. First time trying this place and it was delicious. Possibly the best boneless spare ribs I ever had. Everything here was made fresh and the restaurant seemed very clean. Also reasonably priced. Came here alone during lunch to try out the All You Can Eat Buffet for $22 not expecting much and fortunately I was mistaken. This is not your typical buffet style eatery where the food is pre-made and sitting in a container getting cold and rotten. Instead it offers you a menu that has an array of options to choose from; it varies from sushi, gyoza, your typical edamame, to actual dishes and combination platters. I decided to get my money's worth and stuck to eating only sushi. Besides, after the 2 rolls I had (Godzilla & Ocean City) I was too full to attempt to try anything else. I am so used to rolls consisting of 6-8 pieces and one roll alone had 10 pieces. I typically like rolls that have spicy sauce and tuna and while this was great I felt as though it needed more spice and flavor so I opted to use Eel sauce. Try getting some on the side (it doesn't cost extra). The display is exactly how it is pictured and nothing short of it. I usually like my displays to coniside with the quality of fish and it did just that. The fish was fresh and although I stuck to primarily tuna and shrimp I noticed other patrons ordering salmon and the lobster salad rolls and they all seemed to have enjoyed it. This place definitely sits well with me and considering the limited number of sushi spots in the NCCo area, I will, for sure, make another stop here in the near future. read more
