We stopped here during a road trip and this place was in between our destination. It's unassuming, unexpected and located inside a large supermarket with multiple random stalls inside. Upon entrance, you'll see Vans on the right with plenty of seating. Their menu is small but robust and full of variety for Vietnamese cuisine. Ordered two sandwiches: classic and shredded chicken. Asked them for their noodle soup of the day and it was seafood. Also tried their crispy roast pork. Overall, the food was great and their sandwiches are slamming. Exactly how I expected a traditional, authentic Vietnamese sandwich to be. The secret is in the bread and they got it. Crispy crunch on the outside with a soft bite on the inside. Perfection. Just the right amount of ingredients without overwhelming your mouth and palette. The noodle soup was plenty and shareable with myself and two young kids. I would pass on the roast pork as it was too crunchy for my liking and a bit too fatty for my taste. Great pitstop if you are heading on a road trip. Easy to find once you get inside the parking lot and service was quick and friendly. Prices were so reasonable as well! Solid spot for authentic Vietnamese cuisine.

Van's Banh Mi is a Vietnamese food vendor inside Hung Vuong Food Market in Newark. They sell (you guessed it...) banh mi, but they sell a variety of other dishes and snacks, too. Their menu has a bunch of different banh mi, which all sounded great - we struggled to choose. I had the pate and pork banh mi, which was great - great bread and super classic. The food was delicious - a great quick bite. And great service, too! I'd happily return.

Truly the best banh mi I've ever had! I get the #12 tofu sandwich, it's always freshly cooked and well seasoned. The pickled vegetables and garnishes are also always delicious

Let me tell yall..... about this amazing sandwich I got today after a long hour of grocery shopping. Even after driving 40 minutes back home it was still crispy bread, crunchy meat and chilled veggies. It's absolutely NOTHING bad I could say about this sandwich I'm just sad I didn't get another one. My gosh this is one to write home about. I love the seating are where I waited for my meal to be prepared enough room for the whole family. My first time visit I started with #1 with every visit I'll just work my way down the list. Very good!

I got number 6 Banh Mi dac biet and a cold Vietnamese coffee. The bread was crispy, there was plenty of Pate and Vietnamese butter, also quite a bit of cold cut meats. However I wished they'd give gave me more pickled radish and carrot. . You get quite a bit of value for the $$. The Vietnamese Coffee was also very strong and just enough sweet. I liked it a lot. The Banh mi also came out pretty quick. I'd come for this combo again like a true Vietnamese person.

Best pho I've ever had--no exaggeration. I've gone out of state and can tell you the broth is crystal clear, deeply flavorful, and perfectly balanced. The brisket pho is outstanding, tender and rich. The Seafood pho is just as impressive with fresh, clean flavors. They serve it straight to you, and the place is always busy in the best way, which says everything. I've put several people I know personally onto this spot and they all love it just as much as I do. This is now my benchmark for pho. Absolutely a must try!

If you ever find yourself in Newark near the Christiana Mall, be sure to stop at the Hong Vuong Market, and as soon as you enter, go to the first stall on the right called Van's Banh Mi. Although their specialty is Banh Mi (known in Philly as "Vietnamese Hoagies"), they serve plenty of other interesting dishes, such a Pho (Vietnamese noodle soup), which I can't wait to try after I met a customer from Vietnam who was slurping it up excitedly, telling me it was some of the best he's had in the U.S! I've sampled a few of the Banh Mi (which have different protein fillings and all come dressed with "special sauce" type mayo, pickles, cucumbers, cilantro, and jalapeno) but my favorite part is the bread; it's a light and airy baguette, perfectly crispy on the outside, and slightly chewy on the inside -magnifique! Now here's my secret - because I'm forever and always on a diet, the real reason I go to Van's is for their Vietnamese coffee!! Although I only shop at the Hong Vuong Market once a month after my Weight Watchers workshops at the nearby Sonesta, Mr. and Mrs. Van both know EXACTLY how I like my coffee - hot, strong, and not overly sweet (like my men, haha, just kidding). Seriously, though, the Vans' unwavering devotion to their customers and almost scientific attention to detail is an impressive recipe for success. But most important, they run their little business with an enormous amount of heart & soul; you will feel the love in every interaction you have with them and taste the love in every sip of their coffee and morsel of their food. There's simply no way your day won't get better after you stop there. You can thank me later...or better yet, buy me a coffee if you see me there!

Took a pitstop and luckily there was a banh mi spot nearby. Conveniently located in an Asian grocery store. I got the egg and pork roll banh mi. Really delicious at the bread is really light and crunchy. Will definitely be stopping by again if I'm in town. Also, the lady working that day was super nice!

This restaurant is located inside Hung Vuong Food Market. It is a Vietnamese that makes Banh mi sandwiches and have pho soup. They make Banh mi sandwiches with many different fillings. We ordered there classic Banh mi sandwiches, the bread was nice with a crispy crust and good filling. Also good Vietnamese ice coffee.

A quick, grab and go place with good quality food. We always pick up a few sandwiches when we go grocery shopping. The owners are sweet and always smiling. Happy to greet you every time. There is an eating area next to it that is spacious if you want to eat it there instead of bringing it home.

Their beef stew is absolutely amazing with chunks of carrots and vegetables in a large bowl, which I can never seem to finish.

We were having family over for dinner and wanted something different. Okay, I did see the mixed…read morereviews and decided to give it a try. Placed our order at 11:00 AM for a 5:00 PM pick up. I ordered three pizzas: Upside down, White & Pepperoni. Ordered three sandwiches: One chicken steak, two beef steak. Wings: two orders. For starters we loved the wings - crispy and meaty and not at all greasy. The pizzas were also a hit. The thin crispy crust was great and cooked just right. All of them were delicious but our favorite was the pepperoni. The cheesesteaks - wow!! Seriously the BEST cheesesteaks in town. You can taste the cheese in every single bite. The sandwiches were loaded with chicken or beef and the seeded roll was fresh. The only thing that could have been better? The pizza temperature. Oddly, when we arrived home (about 10 minutes later), the pizzas weren't hot? The wings and the cheesesteaks were both perfect. Ordering and pick up was a breeze. The staff were friendly and the food was very good. Our only regret is that we haven't tried this place sooner! We will definitely be back. Hopefully the pizza will be hot.

Place was pretty cool inside, old school vibes with the flooring, wall posters, and even video games. Had to wait about twenty minutes for a table for three, not a big deal, as it was a Friday night and somewhat expected. Prices were a little high, but not crazy. Service was good, food came out fairly quickly. Ordered a couple of pizzas, steak sandwich and fries. Round pizza was decent. Detroit was underwhelming, and was really hard to eat. It was very difficult to get off of the screen, very sloppy, not a lot of crisp-was really hoping for a better pie. Steak sandwich was fine-roll was decent, meat was seasoned, but didn't really set itself apart. I will say the bar area had a really good vibe, and I could maybe see myself returning for a couple of drinks and maybe some apps. Wish I could give a three and a half, but unfortunately it didn't really earn a four for me.
