The most amazing lunch experience at a chain restaurant EVER! And I mean an experience! Warm welcome, with an education on what they offer. Over 10 varieties of delicious looking soups, and you don't have to guess, because you can sample them ALL if that's what it takes to make your decision! They also offer wide variety of salads, sandwiches, mac & cheeses and grain bowls. Literally something to make anyone happy! We got a pick 2 (soup & sandwich) and both were unbelievably delicious. Oh yea! Soup! This place is unlike any other. They have all different soups and a chili type soup too. They have grilled cheese that's more like microwaved than grilled cheese and you get your soup served with a hunk of good crusty bread. They have different ice teas and fountain soda you get your own, they hand you a cup. They also have single serve drinks available in the fridge. You can choose from three sizes of soup and everything is in to-go containers so you can bring it home. They had cookies and I think brownies for purchase too. Soups are good and hearty, you can get free samples to try out different onesie before selecting your favorite. Chicken Noodle always seems to be there but the others get changed up so they have more options. Tables and chairs in the middle and booths on the side that are comfortable. This is in a strip mall near Ulta and Best Buy. Parking in front and around the side of the place. Prices are pretty reasonable and people aren't there too long to eat so you can always get a seat. It's not table service, you order and pay (Apple Pay accepted) and then sit. They'll call you when your food is ready for pick up. You get it in a small brown paper bag with handles. This is my first time ever going to a zoop location and it was pretty nice - hits the spot in cold weather. They greet you when you come in, the customer service was very good and they had a section of the line where you could just taste test different soups, which was awesome because they have 12 different options. For $6.35...for a half sandwich, there may be 2 tbsps of chicken salad and lots of spinach in a small half croissant, and it's. Not even a regular sized croissant, it looked to be like a mini. Is it too early after one visit to say I love Zoup? I found myself in the Fashion Center at Ulta and to my happy surprise, saw there was a Zoup in the same strip. I had been to on in PA 2 years earlier but it was really to meet a distant connection and the food wasn't the focus When I went in, the food preparer welcomed me and saw me look lost at the menu. There wasn't anyone behind me at the moment, so she welcomed me to come over to the soup area and she explained how Zoup worked from A to Zoup (see what I did there?!? LOL). I ended up getting half baja mac and cheese and half honey hot chicken sandwich with a berry lemonade to go. The service was great and I wish I got that employee's name so I can give her a shout out. So I got the food to go and I drove from Newark north to my home in PA. When I got home some 30+ minutes later, I opened my food to eat and it was STILL WARM. Warmer than some restaurants when you actually get the food. It was great. The mac and cheese was tasty and the honey hot chicken was delicious. This place is in the middle of all the tax free shopping and it a a nice spot if you're into the Panera type scene. They have tea, soups, and salads and sandwiches. Really reminiscent of Panera. What I like about this place is organization of this place. They would announce when they move hot soup around to prevent injuries and they regularly check on the temperature of the soups. This made me feel confident that they are safe to eat. As for the food, it was good. They also have your occasional desserts too, soft chewy oatmeal raisin and chocolate chip cookies. Nice portions at that. It was a chilly day I went here so I had a taste for some warm soup. Seen they had a deal where you can get half a sandwich and a cup of soup called the "Try 2". That's what I went with so I ordered the chicken pot pie soup, banging and a Turkey bacon club half sandwich. Both was banging for sure. Soup was nice and hot, chunky pieces of chicken, mixed vegetables, and seasoned RIGHT. Can't stress that enough. I upgraded my cup to a bigger size for a extra couple cents to a bowl, definitely worth it. Then the Turkey bacon club was real good too. Crispy bacon, delicious Turkey meat with swiss cheese on a (not sure) kind of warmed bread served on. The set up is Q'doba, Chipotle, honeygrow style. Yes, the employees were nice and friendly and yes you can sample each and every soup they offer. I sampled three and left with two, the chicken pot pie and the lobster bisque. They claim these are their most popular and rightfully so. The lobster bisque was rich enough that all I needed was side portion. The other soup I sampled was a crab bisque. It was good but I'm hoping they will offer "Maryland " style instead. They only thing I didn't care for was the pie crust topping. I can't say why. And when I asked for it not to be added to my order I was told they put it on the side for to go orders. You can mix and match all three of the items and they have a nice mix of veggie, gluten free and low fat options. They encourage sampling of the soups so I was able to taste a few of them. Really friendly staff. The line was moving really slow, but I'll attribute that to them just opening and still learning the system. Food was average. I have been here 4 or 5 times. It's my go to fave in the Christiana area. As soon as you walk in the smell of soup and the friendliness of staff welcomes you in. There are SO many options; 12-16 soups to try. And yes, I mean try. They'll let you sample anything you want to help you make your decision. I also believe there are gluten and lactose free. They're all winners in my book but anything "bisque" is solid and I had a great low cal/low fat kale soup a few weeks ago that I'm still thinking about needing to replicate at home. You have a option of breads to accompany your soup or some kind of veggie if bread isn't your thing (it's mine so I don't know what the option is). Well the soup was good but I've had better at Panera. And the dippers? Not cut. Definitely not fingers. Just your run of the mill grilled cheese. Um what? I know what you're thinking -- Dude just cut the sandwich and move on. I get it. But when they explicitly hawk the special as "dippers" I thought oh well how disappointing. This is an incredible lunch place with just the best staff! They always greet you warmly when you enter and all their soups are so tasty. We've tried their broccoli cheddar, tomato bisque, wedding soup, chicken noodle, chicken pot pie, and corn and crab chowder. We were not disappointed in any of them and would easily go back for more. Plus you get a choice of 5 grain or french bread to enjoy with your soup. Their salads are also good. I've tried their chicken and bacon cobb, fiesta chicken, and cranberry almond. The dressing for the fiesta chicken was a little too spicy for me but I'd gladly order it again with a different dressing. My husband loves the southwest turkey and turkey and bacon club sandwiches. We just moved to Delaware not long ago and with these rainy days, this place had quickly become our go to lunch place. read more
