    Wild Mushroom Taco (Happy Hour)

The aesthetic of this place is definitely fresh, lively, and clean. Being labeled as a Gastro pub already told me that the prices are going to be higher than normal. Overall, the food was OK for the price but not anything amazing. The happy hour specials are very limited and get more expensive as happy hour goes on. For example, drinks are three dollars off at the start of happy hour and by the last hour only one dollar off. Also, beware when ordering espresso martinis. I was asked if I wanted it made with Bailey's and I said yes, without knowing it was a two dollar up charge. $18 for a martini on the UD campus is wild! Overall oka but not a place I would dine at all the time.

The cobb salad was beautiful and large. My Dad ordered it, and didn't realize that it has a big spicy kick. It's chipotle ranch dressing but beware! I got a burger which won an award, and was delicious. It had fontina, onions and a delicious sauce on the side. The burger patties were cooked well, with lots of flavor. The fries were a little overcooked in my opinion and salty but still pretty good. The drinks were standard. The pomegranate cosmo was very sweet. The bar seating was nice with a big tv showing the Phillies. The restaurant has a lot of plants which gives a nice vibe.

I wish I could remember all the names of the drinks and food I got here because everything was delicious! Unfortunately, I was too distracted by how good it was. The interior is cool and has moss type things on the ceiling to go with the theme. There appeared to be plenty of tables...we sat in the back. My chicken sandwich (name?) was very good. Whatever garlic aioli was on it was amazing. They should bottle and sell it. The waiter said they make their fries in house and they go through a three-day process. The cocktail I got (again, the name escapes me) had bourbon but they had added smoke to it. One of the best drinks I've ever had! Our waiter, a college student, was so friendly and engaging. He did a great job of checking on us. We really enjoyed it and were close to going back for a second night.

Food was well made and fresh. Good portion sizes. Reasonably priced. Our server was friendly and attentive. Ambiance is nice, lots of seating. Not going to lie, tried going to Peach Blossom but it was over an hour wait. No wait for the Greenhouse and the food was yummy. Never had been before.

June 23, 2025 - two for dinner. We stopped in on a chance. What a wonderful interior and decor. Service was fantastic at the bar!!! The food was reasonably priced and fantastically fresh and enjoyable. Great job.

Brought my beautiful wife to brunch before a hockey game on a lovely Saturday morning, and so glad we did. The service was exceptional, and we were seated promptly and offered the option of dining outside. We started with the beignets, and they were fabulous. Really perfect. The Bloody Mary was layered and had good flavor, and the draft beer list was solid, with some unique and cool offerings. There were many great options on the menu, and both of us loved what we had. Next time we have the chance to brunch near UD, we will be back! Great spot!

The Greenhouse is in an old historic building next to the new Hyatt with a farmhouse feel. The menu is eclectic and lots of options for casual food with innovative sauces and pairings. The chicken sandwich- Coop There It Is- was fresh and juicy. The strawberry lemonade drop had a lot of strawberry flavor. Highly recommend for taking visiting parents!

I'm literally here once a month. I love the vibes inside, and each room has a different feel. Right now the patio is so nice with the weather or upstairs for more natural light. The menu has som staples that are always good but I gained that their brunch isn't my favorite. However, this is one of my go to lunch spots! The bar upstairs would be a great date spot and you can't get a bad drink here. The happy hour is also TOP TEIR. The servers are always secret, same for when seated at the bar!

Tastefully renovated space in an historic downtown Newark, DE building, decorated with lovely live flowers and plants throughout. After you get done marveling at the variety of healthy 'house plants' on display, you'll be drooling over the menu which has libations and food options to satisfy a broad range of palates. Creative cocktails, decent draft list, and NA options will quench your thirst. Apps, Salads, Sandwiches, entreés, and sweet desserts will not disappoint. The front dining room can get quite loud when it's busy - it is a vibrant scene! Seating is available on the front porch to dine al fresco!

Stopped here for a drink & app with my hubby while visiting our daughter at UD. Sat outside on their patio which has some umbrellas for shade. They have a brunch as well; next time! For this quick trip, we ordered beer, wine & shared chicken tenders. All was good & service was good as well.

Tried Greenhouse Gastropub for the first time and loved it! We ate upstairs, overlooking Main Street. It was clean and spacious enough that you didn't feel on top of another table. Our waiter, Kensho was super friendly and attentive. We started with the picnic plate and it was amazing! It had artisan cheeses, bratwurst, dried cherries, spicy honey, raspberry jam, sweet & spicy pickles, bacon jam, mustard, and focaccia. Everything was so delicious. We housed it. Also, all of the meals were so good too. Even the asparagus that came with the steak frites was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Really enjoyed this visit and will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

Tremendously flavorful and fresh food with incredible service! The ambience is perfect. The beignets as an appetizer are incredible as are the biscuits!

The crab fries were very good and their horseradish aioli was so good. Unfortunately, my flatbread was soggy and uneatable.

Also, if you've read my prior reviews, you know I always want my water glass filled and the waiter made sure that was the case. It's a small detail that added to the overall comfort of the meal. The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting, creating a relaxed setting for dinner. The food was well-prepared and flavorful. The veal meatballs were tender, the olive oil and sun-dried tomato dip for the bread was unique and yummy, and the mushroom agnolotti stood out as especially delicious. In fact, I can't wait to go back and have it again. Also, since it was Valentines weekend they added a cute little lips design on top of my drink. Another memorable touch was the mini firework placed on the butterscotch custard to celebrate my birthday. It added a bit of fun to the end of the meal and made the occasion feel special. My partner had the cannoli for dessert and it was definitely enough for two! Overall, Taverna delivered a very enjoyable dining experience, and I would be happy to return.

They sell a lot of their own merch so that's what you first see when you walk in. They have a bar area as well. The dining area towards the back is very spacious. And they have seating to accommodate small-large groups. The dim lighting adds to the calm vibe of the restaurant. The service is so fast. I feel like every item came out so quickly. And the servers checked in pretty frequently to clear the table, ask you if you need another drink, dessert, etc. it did feel a bit rushed. As a starter they give you their Ciabatta bread and the sun-dried tomato oil. The oil was DELICIOUS. I literally bought a jar to take home. For my drink I got the Fresca. It was good, very refreshing. For my entree I got the Linguini & Clams. It was good, could've used a bit more salt but the sauce was good. For desert I got the boozy affogato and it was delish. Would definitely dine here again if I'm ever in the area.

Not surprising, as on holiday weekends most students go home so the town isn't crowded like a usual week. Service was friendly, fast and attentive. Everyone's meals were very good, except for mine. I made a bad choice. Skip the hot honey chicken over donuts brunch item. Its nothing more than 3 chicken fingers over what tasted like a couple of dry entemann's donuts. (Missed opportunity..theres a greta bakery across the street..should get fresh glazed donuts from them. The donuts ruined the dish. Other meals were very good. Easter quiche special with hollandaise sauce and fried potatoes was delicious, although the size of quiche slices was kind of small. Burrata avocado toast was great, and so was their cheese omelette.
