Still my favorite Chinese place in town. I ordered "Kung Pao Chicken" but I didn't want the sauce…read moreall over it nor stir-fried. My special request got me steamed white meat chicken and a lot of crispy veg and peanuts, which is exactly what I wanted, and sauce on the side. This is not actually the "Kung Pao" I know it (in NYC it's cubes of chicken, celery, peanuts, dried red chili pods and a spicy not-too-wet sauce) but no worries, this version was REALLY GOOD and it was excellent for someone watching out for too much salt and oil at the moment. Way to handle a special request! I will order that again soon.

Extremely disappointed with our recent visit to Kiku in Middletown. We ordered hibachi for my son,…read moreand the kitchen got the order wrong. He had to sit and wait through our entire lunch while we ate, only for the corrected order to still be wrong when it finally came out. When we brought this up to management, there was no apology or accountability. Instead, we were told it was basically our fault for "ordering the wrong food." On top of that, their card machine was down, which added another 20 minutes to an already frustrating visit. I understand equipment issues happen and are not entirely their fault, but the way we were treated afterward was unacceptable. This isn't the first time the food here has been mediocre. Unless you're desperate for sushi, I would skip this place. The customer service alone is enough reason to go elsewhere.

Welp, I had to be on a fishing boat drinking a cold one at 12 so this wouldn't work. I called Harper's and they said to call back in the morning and place the order - no problem - and pick up when ready. Needless to say, I placed my order, picked up a variety of subs, got to the boat, cracked a cold one, and had a pretty damn good sub. I ordered 5 for the others on the boat and because they were so packed, we couldn't eat them all so bonus, I brought one home. Everyone loved the turkey and Italian subs, packed dry, with a bunch of stuff on the side. Don't overlook this place. They also make breakfast so that will be my next visit. Fishing was good as well!

We ordered the crab dip. It wasn't what I expected, but despite other reviews, it was loaded with crab. I'd give it a 2/5. We didn't eat half of it. I ordered a burger, and it came out burnt. Like, inedible, and the bacon was limp. Although there was a good amount of it. Nevertheless, I sent it all back. Fries were not freshly cut, likely frozen, and barely salted. Hubs ordered the steak and said that it was flavorless. He said it tasted like it was boiled, no salt, no pepper, nothing. I tasted his sweet potato mash and that tasted like baby food. Anyway, the manager comes out and apologizes for my meal and offers to comp me something. I say no thank you, but he insists. So, I asked for a dessert. Now, both him and the server come back to the table to let us know that the dessert order is in. We wait about 15-20 minutes. The server brings by the bill and my husband pays. Not a minute after the card is swiped, the manager comes over to say that he was just told that there is no more dessert. Interesting.
