New spot in Middletown for stir-fry noodles or rice and salads. Kind of a Chipotle Mexican Grill but "Asian" style. We were greeted by one of the staff and then given a kiosk demo by another staff member, who offered a complimentary drink to each of us (coke products or two lemonade or fruit punch choices, not too sweet, thanks!) Friendly people, and that is always appreciated. You can choose premade selections or customize a dizzying array of choices, noodle (egg or rice), rice grain, protein--shrimp, chicken, beef, tofu, and sauces and toppings. You'll probably want the app to figure out what you want as standing at the kiosk and figuring it out is not optimal. Then you can customize your bowl and order it from your car seat or armchair. I got the Coconut Curry (like a Thai red curry) with chicken, pineapple and added spinach. It had jalapeno and cilantro. Just the right amount of heat for me but the pineapple was bland (seemed to be canned in juice tidbits.) I enjoyed it however and had about 2 cups worth, so ate one cup and saved the rest for a snack. My dining partner had the special Buffalo Chicken bowl with egg noodles, bleu cheese crumbles and Buffalo sauce. This tasted actually quite good, tangy and just enough heat also (we like medium heat in our food from peppers.) He ate all of it. Vegetarians and Vegans will have many choices. Not sure the truly gluten free will be safe; you'd need a staff trained to have a dedicated gluten-free station and knowledge of cross contamination. There are gluten-free choices but if it's safe for the truly celiac who cannot have cross-contamination, that I cannot say. The cost for two was about 30 (no drink included...that was comped) and we did tip. These days, that is a reasonable lunch for two. That's the good news. The less-than good news. Big eaters will not be filled up. It's a cereal bowl-sized portion of noodles so if you are a big eater, you'll want maybe more. And I am still a bit hungry now, even though I saved half of my lunch. (I'm not a big eater.) And the uh, ambience--or lack thereof. Loud music and loud noises. I guess the music is to cover the clanging sounds of wok cooking but it wasn't great music and the noise level was distressing to me. I know we Americans like it loud and proud but I love quiet and found it uncomfortable. There is an outdoor patio for better weather. We'll be back (to sit outside in the patio on the parking lot.) I love stir-fry noodles and look forward to more for treating ourselves to a lunch out. read more

If no stars was an option, it would be appropriate. $30 for 2 tiny portions of stir fry. Tiny containers were only half full. Food average at best. To top it off, 2 missing items. Call the store and they suggest we need to drive back to the store to get a credit card refund. Nasty attitude to boot. One and done for us. Go to any Chinese food restaurant in town over this. New fangled kiosk ordering system at a walk up counter where you can watch a dozen hard working cooks. The store literally opened up yesterday! The staff are energetic and engaging with the customers. Food is fresh and healthy with lots of flavors and textures. We enjoyed the kale salad and the red coconut curry noodles. Since opening, this location has had issues with their ordering kiosks. It's really frustrating but I've tried to look past it however, on my 5th visit I've had enough. They handed me a paper menu that didn't even list all of the options for the create your own stir-fry/salad. How is someone supposed to decide? Also, on one visit the kiosk wouldn't accept payment so the manager had to ring me out on the POS and I didn't get my points as I would have normally by entering my phone number on the self-serve kiosk. While the food is okay, I won't be back until they fix the ordering system or provide a more detailed way to view all the menu offerings. read more

This is a smaller version of the Honeygrows I've been to before, but it is better for it. The service at this location is much better and more comprehensive. They take good care of their customers and everyone is very sweet. Amber was especially focused on making sure that I had everything I needed and that I was enjoying my meal. This meant the world to me and I will come back to this location because of her and the other very helpful and pleasant employees. read more

We are fans of Honeygrow and were excited to try the new Middletown location. We have been there twice so far and were happy with our experiences both times. The food was delicious and staff was extremely friendly and helpful. On our second visit, we had an issue with our order and staff went above and beyond to remedy the issue. Great customer service. General Manager and all staff were very friendly, helpful, and well-prepared for tomorrow's public opening, as if they had been working together a long time. Casual and very clean.
