I highly recommend VHK moving. We just got done with these guys and I am so impressed. At first I wanted to go with Mic's moving company because they had so many reviews. Once Mic's realized they did not have an open spot for me, they stopped corresponding with me all together. Even when I asked for a different day, Mic's didn't even bother to get back to me. Thank goodness because I ended up using VHK, they are the very best. The owner Vladyslav answered all of my emails immediately, anytime of day. I had to change dates last minute, no problem. They tell you the rates up front, and it's very inexpensive compared to the other places. The movers who came by were very hard working. They work very fast and they are so careful. They bring their own plastic wrap and wrapped everything just to be safe. All you hear them talk about is how to do everything safely and not damage everything. They never talk about anything else but work, I love it. They even stayed and help to do some rearranging. Vladyslav, thank you so much!!!! read more

We just wrapped up a move from our two bedroom, Virginia apartment into a townhome in DC and I can't say enough good things about VKH Moving. From the very beginning, I was impressed with how quickly Vlad responded to my multiple emails and various questions. He would literally respond within just a few minutes. I was also impressed with their very competitive pricing. Prior to our move, I called several different companies who quoted me outrageous amounts. However, VKH had very reasonable rates and were able to give me an accurate time frame. When moving day arrived, Vlad and Petro showed up on time and got right to work. They wasted no time and worked incredibly hard for the entire five hours we were booked - they didn't stop for a single break or anything! They wrapped items that needed extra protection. They disassembled our beds and even reassembled them when we arrived at our new home. They made sure to place furniture and boxes in the correct room. To anyone looking for efficient, hard working, and super well priced movers, go with these guys!! read more

The movers worked hard and when my items reached their destination nothing was broken so I am grateful for that. However, I'm not happy that they charged to box up my TVs so I ended up taking 3 flat screens myself. Also they did not bring a big enough truck so we ended up having to do two trips which costed me more money. I booked this company last minute (which was my fault admittedly) so I am very glad they were able to accommodate me but for the price I wasn't expecting them to show up with a Uhaul and leave numerous items behind. read more

VKH is an exceptional moving company! After another moving company failed to show up for my morning move, I contacted about a dozen others to see who would be able to accommodate me on such short notice. The owner, Vlad, responded within 5 minutes and let me know that they'd have someone out to me by 2 pm. Petro and Leonid contacted me about 1 hour before the arrival time to confirm and let me know exactly when they'd arrive. They worked expeditiously and got me all moved in with no problems. The pricing was fair and the service was excellent. This company should be a top choice when considering movers. Thank you so much Vlad, Petro, and Leonid for helping me out in a bind! read more

My go-to movers! We had to move during Covid and this team has been amazing with everything! They were masks, gloves and work very quickly and always on time! My new go-to local moving team! Thank you!!! read more

I wish I could give them zero stars. Extremely unprofessional. Movers showed up with no materials, 4 hours late, and completely untrained. I have moved many times in my life and have never experienced this lack of professionalism. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!! read more

VKH movers are amazing!! I was dumb and forgot to schedule the elevator in my building, and of course it is already reserved for the morning of my move. They were able to shift back my move to the afternoon without any issues the day before! The two guys who came to move me were professional, fast, and safe. Nothing was damaged, lost, or had any issues. They worked very efficiently and quickly while still respecting my stuff. I highly recommend this company!! Thank you! read more

Highly recommended! Very fast, professionally, responsibility! I booked them before 3 days. They fitted me in the schedule. The moving day: The owner called me in the morning to let me know the eta. That showed up on time. They wrapped the furniture and tv's. Need move something call them ASAP ! read more

If I could give these unprofessional, non-responsive, inconsiderate people A ZERO I would. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. They were in constant contact until I paid my deposit. It was downhill from there. They provided a window via email of 2-4. When 3:30 rolled around I started emailing, sending text messages, and calling-- no response! It wasn't until I said I would come to them to find out why they were not calling or shown up, that finally I received a call. They said they were running 1 1/2 hours behind. When they finally arrived, there were 2 YOUNG guys ( clearly not seasoned movers) and here is where it got worse: 1. They forgot their dolly (we had one they could use. 2. They said - oh we forgot our tools, do you have any to disassemble the bed and mirror from the dresser (my husband got his tools). 3. MY HUSBAND HAD TO DISASSEMBLE THE MIRROR. 4. They did a walk through prior to any moving and said this will only take roughly and hour (I had 1 dresser, 1 bed, two armoire nightstands, 4 boxes, 1 crate, 1 Under Armour duffle, and a Peloton bike)--not even enough to constitute a one bedroom Apt. 5. It took them 45 minutes trying to bring down the dresser, which they removed the blanket from around and damaged it! 6. When it was time to move the Peloton, one of guys said he didn't think he could do it because he had a bad back (what???). We told him to leave it because at this point I am so angry. He refused to leave it alone. So....My husband had to jump in and assist with moving the bike AND he moved the box spring for them. Meanwhile, I am sending text messages to Sean who was UNRESPONSIVE!!! 7. To continue the absurdity-the guy says, well we went an hour over should I use the same card. I politely said, I am not paying another dime extra. As a matter of fact-I need a full refund, call your manager. Of course the cowardly thing to do was not answer the phone-way to go Sean!! Attached are the pictures of the damage. AGAIN DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. I will be pursuing all means to get my money refunded. read more

*08/09/19 Update: I am changing it to three stars since they made an effort to reach out for further compensation*. Original review: I debated between giving two and three stars, because the movers themselves were pretty good, but the great reviews are the reason I went with this moving company over others, so I want people to know that not everything always goes smoothly. Long story short my movers arrived 6 hours after they were originally supposed to come. I got a one hour discount. Long story: I was scheduled for between 8 - 9 am. By the time 10 came around they were still not there (yes I should have called earlier). I contacted them and was informed I had been doublebooked by someone in the company and my two guys and a truck were at someone else's house. I had to wait for the crew to be done at the other house. In the end they showed up at 3pm. The actual movers were pretty good. Very efficient (especially considering the heat) and they listened well to what they should take and not take. A few things got scratched up, one plastic container was broken, and the way they packaged my tv made me very nervous (though it didn't break), but no major problems. I got some "I'm sorry"s from management and a one hour discount, but I rather would have just gotten the original peace of mind. Moving is already inherently stressful and this was not the kind of extra stress I needed. So I guess the moral of the story is I recommend calling a few days before your move to confirm your appointment time. read more

The whole moving experience with VHK has been amazong. Starting with Vlad, who was available to answer any questions, and was very friendly. Movers - Dmitri and Valentine were both extremely professional. They showed up on time, and moved items very efficiently. I wasn't sure what the payment method was, and we paid using PayPal which charges 3 percent on credit card payment. I wish VHK movers continued success. Keep up the awesome work. read more

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. I rarely write reviews, let alone negative ones but I need to warn others about using VKH Movers. Not only was the final price double what I was quoted, but the company sent three inexperienced movers, and a truck that was too small. Due to this, a move that should have only taken 4-5 hours took 9. The movers ruined over $6,000 in furniture and our scratched our floors. Because of the weight they are only reimbursing me $220. One of the items was a brand new light weight $1,500 Thule bike carrier for my son that we now can't use - I am livid. The movers also expected us to buy them lunch. They did not properly use blankets to wrap furniture either. They said they would do it in the van but only wrapped it with plastic wrap that we provided. Because it was so hot and I am too nice I bought them lunch but I now regret it. Please protect your belongings and your wallet by not hiring this company. read more

If you like your movers late, unresponsive, unprofessional, and enjoy your valuables being broken, as well as being completely ignored by the company afterwards AND overcharged - then hire VKH! read more

First, my move was scheduled for January 1, 2021 from 8am-9am. I confirmed the date and time with Sean. Based upon Sean's confirmation, I scheduled time for the loading dock at my new apartment and informed my landlord of the time I would be out based upon your company's 2 hour estimate. I scheduled the loading dock for 11am, factoring in the 2 hour estimate to pack a 1 bedroom apartment (of which I stated the pieces of furniture I had ) and then 30 minutes for driving. All boxes were packed, and to make it easier I had all boxes stacked in a manor so that it would be easy to just slip them onto a dolly and get going. Instead of coming on time at 8am, these movers arrived at 9:10, over an hour late and began work. Around 10am one of the movers ordered McDonalds to my apartment and proceeded to eat it in the truck, while on my moving time. There were also significant breaks being taken, they were carrying small lightweight boxes one by one which slowed the process down dramatically, one of the movers was constantly on his phone (even trying to talk on the phone while lifting my couch) and moving as if they were debilitated. As a result, the move out took twice as long as it should have, and in no reality does a move from a 750 square foot 1 bedroom apartment take 4 hours. They took their time, knowing that I would be charged an extra $100 for every hour over, and that is not acceptable. The original estimate stated $275-325, which is what I expected to pay, and I ended up being charged 2x as much for the mistakes and idleness of your workers. As a result of this, my time for the moving dock was cancelled, as the movers arrived over 2 hours after the scheduled time. Luckily there was no one there when we got there, and yet the men continued to move slowly, and I caught one guy in the moving elevator several times just sitting on his phone. The property damage is also something that needs to be addressed. I explained to the movers that one of the pieces of furniture was fragile and that they needed to be careful with it. The one movers yanked it upwards, completely ripping the top of the table off. That table was over $300 and to repair it, I have no idea what it will cost. My mattress was also thrown inside of the dirty truck, unwrapped, and now a $1,000 mattress is completely covered in dirt and will have to be professionally cleaned. Aside from walls being mucked up, and scraped having no care or concern in the world, the largest issue is the flooring in my old apartment. After the move out was complete, my landlord visited the place for a final inspection and upon visiting, she found multiple scratches in the wood floors from the movers dragging furniture across the floors. As a result, I will now be charged for the repairs, and that is completely unacceptable. I will now have to file a claim with you all for the floors and the table. I am very upset with the way things transpired. There was no care or concern for me, the customer, nor the customers property. I want not only a full refund, but I want to be reimbursed for the floor scratches ($800), my table which was ripped apart, and my bed which is now unsanitary. LETS ADD EVEN MORE TO THIS REVIEW BECAUSE THE OWNER OR WHATEVER THE HELL HE IS DESERVES TO HAVE HIS BUSINESS SHUT DOWN FOREVER. Even his own employee Sean remarked that he was "incredibly unorganized and all over the place. HAHAHAHA. Explain to me the person who gave this deplorable piece of crap a business license. He called me back (after repeated no response calls) said that he "talked to his men" who said that 1.) none of my stuff was boxed, which is a fat lie because I have proof and picture evidence it was so nice try! 2.) his movers said that they asked me if I wanted my mattress wrapped and apparently responded "no just throw the mattress in the truck" I'm sorry are you f****** stupid? I don't give a crap whether your mattress costs $10 or $1,000(which mine did) who in their right mind says "yea just throw the thing I sleep on in a dirty truck." In no reality would anyone say that so lie number 2. Thirdly, he said that after his movers damaged $800 worth of flooring my scratching it, not even taking into account the repairs to fix the table the broke nor the mattress which costs money to be sanitized, but without seeing photos and brushing it off (he said "oh my movers didn't do that," ) he said the MAX THEY WOULD GIVE ME IS $100. This man needs to be locked up either in a jail or in a mental hospital because he is out of his damn mind. While I was audibly upset and explaining to him the true story instead of the story told by his ahem, hungover associates, he repeatedly spoke over me and LAUGHED at me. How dare you, Vlad or Sad or whatever the hell your name is. How absolutely dare you treat someone that way. I cannot wait to take you to court over this and as promised your company will be hearing from a lawyer about this. read more

VKH Movers were early and efficient! I got recommended VKH Movers by a coworker after receiving some outrageous quotes from other companies. They arrived early and got straight to work moving my one-bedroom, which was a more complicated move than most one-bedrooms due to the fact they had to take my couch out over my balcony! Their quote was significantly lower than other companies who charged extra for the couch or flat out refused. I had a great experience and will recommend them to my friends! read more

Excellent customer service and great experience their guys!!!! Highly recommend VKH movers!!! Thanks you guys Have a great holiday

We moved from Maryland to Virginia from one house with twenty years of "stuff" in it to a smaller house. The moving team that took care of us were excellent! I can't say enough about their willingness to help us at every turn. They were prompt, professional and kind even to our little Yorkie who was constantly underfoot! LOL!!! Once we arrived at the new house, they quickly moved in our baby grand piano (which was a challenge), set up our beds and rearranged our furniture to our liking. We are so grateful to Nick, Orest and to the rest of the team and highly recommend this company!!! Thanks again! read more

VHK got the job done on budget and they took great care with my things, particularly the assembly of my bed and dresser. They were easy to get in contact with and kept the lines of communication open the day of the move. They get four stars b/c they were a little late and a little slow, but I would move with them again. read more

The guys were fast and efficient. Totally recommend them and next time I have to move I'll definitely use them again!

Vlady and Petro were really professional, quickly! And booking really simple and great price. Im highly recommended that company for future move! read more

Just moved two days ago.. as anyone making a big move would, I shopped around. Reviews and word of mouth is what I relied on. My coworker recommended VKH Movers and I called and got a quote. They were the cheapest and best rated. I was nervous thinking you pay what you get for.. move day came.. a minor glitch at the beginning not being able to fit everything in one truck (their biggest 26ft) was quickly resolved by Vlad sending another truck with two more guys. The guys worked hard and got the job done. Absolutely great service and would definitely recommend! Extremely grateful for these hard workers. read more

Moved half an apartment's worth of stuff from storage in MD to our new apartment in DC. They were on time, professional, quick, and moved everything without damages. They were available to schedule on shorter notice than any others we contacted. The price was fair too. All in all, highly recommended. read more

Keyada and Vincent were great. Great attitude, very careful with our stuff, worked diligently from start to finish. Taking off one star because the price came out considerably over estimate, though I suppose that's just how these things go so not necessarily an indictment on them. Moved from a 1 BR apt in DC to a 1 BR apt in Fairfax, had loading docks reserved at both places and still somehow took 5.5 hours, so I racked up a few hourly charges past the estimate. Owner agreed to knock off 30 minutes, but still a little more than I thought I was going to pay. Other than that, they did a great job. I would hire Keyada and Vincent again, just adjust my expectations. read more

Used to move a few pieces of LARGE furniture that I purchased from someone in the same town. The guys that were moving the furniture did a FABULOUS job covering the furniture when packing up. They were very conscious of the other items around them with moving furniture out and in! They were able to provide a same day service. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because they arrived later than the scheduled time; HOWEVER, they DID communicate what time they would arrive so I was aware and could plan accordingly. Definitely recommend this company! read more

VKH Movers saved the day for us last week. A different moving company completely flaked on us at 4pm but VHK came through last minute and were incredible. They came at 7:30pm the same day and stayed till 11:30. Plus, the rate was completely fair, even if it wasn't a last minute situation. Petro and Alexandr were fast, friendly and did an amazing job. The move would have been a nightmare without them; great employees, great company. read more

VKH Movers is my movers from now on !!! Petro, team supervisor was on it from start to finish.. I had 5 apartments to move out in a limited window of time but the team of Orest, Trevor, Alex, Ahmed, Dima, Zvaid, Eddie, Yaro, Carlos and Danny pulled off a miracle!!!! So happy with their service and how they packed and protect every single piece of furniture... Awesome supervisor!! Awesome crew!! thank you VKH Movers!! read more

Very easy to communicate with and every reliable. I asked them to help me move a piano but didn't give them enough info of how heavy the piano would be. They showed up with two guys and realized that it was impossible to move with just two. They quickly checked with the manager and was able to come the next day with four guys and had it moved in to time with no extra charge. Very flexible and as mentioned - easy to communicate with. Will definitely use them again. read more

These guys are great. This is the second time I have used them and I am using them again for another large move next month. They are always super helpful and flexible and everything made it in great condition! read more

These guys are fantastic! I purchased a Pelotan bike and needed help getting it up to my loft. The communication was seamless and they were on time. The movers were super professional and squared away. I was very pleased with using them and would not hesitate using them again in the future. I highly recommend - do not look any further! read more

Be careful and it is possible that they might not show up. They helped me moving once a year ago and that went pretty well. While this time, at Mar. 2019, they don't show up at the moving date, although I have confirmed my reservation twice before the moving date. They don't response my phone call and email until one hour after the reserved time and saying they were too busy and cannot make it. I totally understand that shitty things happen and there might be a delay, a traffic jam or whatever happened to the last moving. But they should at least let me know and reschedule the moving time before the original reserved hour. read more

I am completely satisfied with VKH Movers and I fully recommend them! I had to move from PG county in MD to Fairfax county in VA. I scheduled my move with VKH only a few weeks prior to my move. Vladyslav (the owner) was very quick and polite in answering all my questions via email. His crew arrived on time and had great work ethic - working quickly, but cautiously - and they were respectful, too. I could tell they knew what they were doing by the way they packed the truck like a real-life game of Tetris. I'm glad that the entire move was done in the time frame that I wanted. I have to admit I was a bit skeptical at first because VKH quoted me at a rate far lower than competitors, but it was worth it AND I saved money in the end! The owner made good on his word that there would be no extra fees. Thanks for making my move so smooth and stress-free! read more

Great company to work with for our move from DC to Alexandria. Communicative and hardworking, efficient and careful with our things. Highly recommend! read more

DO NOT USE THIS RIP-OFF OF A COMPANY! VKH Movers LLC has damaged furniture, overcharged me for time that they literally just stood around not knowing how to move an item because of its size, did not fully move my items into the desired location (left in a garage and not in the house), and overpromised the quality of work and the skillset of their employees. I even had to hire a second moving company to finish the job that they were too inept to complete, DESPITE me specifically asking about a particularly oversized item and showing pictures of the item so they had a sense of the size. I was assured multiple times by VKH that they were "professionals" and "small companies can't handle the load" they can. I ended up paying over $500 extra (between their bogus overcharge for standing around doing nothing, and me hiring a new company who completed the job within an hour). I even tried to appeal to my credit card company but VKH showed them that I signed that my items were moved and authorized the charge - which is something I HAD to sign in order for them to leave and stop charging me for extra time with me. My move was on August 27th and I have tried numerous times to try to get my issues resolved, as initially, they were issues that could easily be resolved with any moving company. Any other competent moving company would give a deduction for damaged items or not fulfilling the agreement of the items needed to be moved. But not VKH Movers. Once they have your credit card information, they will ignore any requests that you make to right any wrongs and damages. I've gone above and beyond to try to quietly rectify things on my end. I've called all numbers listed on their website and left messages - IGNORED. I've emailed all email addresses that I have access to - IGNORED. I've messaged them through Thumbtack and each time, Sean the sales rep just re-routes to someone who doesn't respond at all. I am finally left with accepting my loss and warning all of you NOT to use them. Save your money by going with a company with integrity, competence and skill. read more

Moving is not stressful anymore with these guys. The best movers in town!! Just awesome. Got a text prior to arrival, had all the equipments necessary for move, and their own truck. One of the worst experience I have every had. The Sales Manager, Sean is very rude. He contacted me today (10/20/2021) and explained the moving hours and fees. When I asked him, does the time starts when they arrive to my house. He literally said "You need to listen carefully, I can't explain myself more than that" then he hanged up the phone call on me. I called him back and I told him to respect me. He replied back that "I don't want to work with you and you need to improve your listing skills". This is so rude of him. This is not a way to talk to customers or otherwise you'll lose a lot of them in the future. I will never reach out to VKH Movers again in my entire life. read more

Can't praise these guys enough. I had a complicated case that involved syncing up business hours with U-Haul, driving across DC in the middle of the day and lugging things up two flights of stairs, but the crew VKH sent did everything on time, beat their estimate and couldn't have been more professional. A relief and a pleasure to work with. read more

VKH movers are very good. Vlad came for an estimate a couple weeks before and when they came they accidentally brought only one truck. Not to worry though because they brought a second truck and were very quick in moving out our stuff. They kept it overnight for a very good price and when they came back the next day it was a quick move and efficient move. They're pricing is also very good. I would recommend to anyone moving in the NOVA area. read more

VKH Movers responded right away to my request for movers, and promised one truck and three movers. They arrived as promised, but two of the movers were not professional or strong, and struggled with getting the furniture out of the old house and into the new home, almost dropping some items, and leaving dents in the walls. When we unwrapped a six month old tv that they had wrapped and brought to the new home, it had a crack in it. I emailed the company several times to file a claim, and two months later have not gotten a response, even though they claim to be insured and bonded. I would never use them again. read more
