I asked for a passion fruit green tea with 50% sugar but they got the order wrong and put 100% sugar. Granted taste is different for everyone but I've had bubble teas with 50% sugar before and the one they made was way too sweet. This is my number one favorite bubble tea brand of all times. The peach green tea and the peach ice jelly are the two drinks I always get and always crave for. For me, half sugar does the trick, the peach flavor itself is sweet enough. The staff rarely make mistake with my drinks so I'm very satisfied with this store. read more

I've been coming to this spot here and there. Every time I ask for popcorn chicken there's none. She looked at the girl and she nodded her head but there was the smell of popcorn chicken in the air. lol. And also as well their delivery people were holding them as well. So I went to Grubhub and looked if they were selling popcorn chicken, WHICH THEY WERE. So I WAITED for past 20 minutes to see if they would change their menu online, nothing. So I went back and asked her if there really wasn't and told her that their menu online on grub-hub says other wise. She looked at me shocked as if I was wrong. I just don't understand why if it's on their menu they won't do their job, and at least admit they were wrong. I drove back home and still checked Grubhub and IT'S still on. They tell me that "it's sold out" I won't complain if its not a reoccurring issue. Any other Vivi's bubble tea place I go to in Manhattan there always is popcorn chicken. Every-time I go here as well the bubble tea taste is always different, not consistent. The staff seems very rude and racist but not in a formative way. Their ice jelly tea is excellent with a very refreshing fruit flavor. To me it is sweet enough to ask for no sugar. The place is cozy, and has much more room compared to some other bubble tea places. Service is good, but a little slow, as the place is quite packed after opening. read more

I really wanted to like Vivi, but it just wasn't up to par with other options in the area. I got the red moo milk and the peach ice jelly with fruit pulp. The red moo milk was pretty generic red bean with milk that you can get at an boba place. The peach ice jelly was not great, the jelly was very hard and had a weird texture that didn't taste like jelly. Not sure if I just had an off batch of jelly or something? Another bubble tea place in the nearby vicinity. They have a cute store front and you can't miss it. They have booths inside where you can sit and drink and chat. There's also free wifi. The drinks are tasty and reasonably priced. I got the green milk tea with bubbles, which was good and not that sweet. The bubbles were soft and chewy. like many of their predecessors, it's a decent tea shop with above avg chill factor in this neighborhood. it literally took over a formerly great spot in Tenren, who just didn't market themselves well and corner the market in the area. Came here three times, first two were positive experiences with prompt service. yesterday, somehow there was a 10 min wait to take orders. clearly, both the lady in front of me and I were about to lose it. First rule of business, always take the customers money and close the sale, waiting after can happen. if you're slow in making tea, hire more people. if you still can't get it right, take a walk into a Starbucks and study their process flow. they never stop taking orders to make something (neverrrrrr). I'm sure it was an off day, I'll give them another try. read more

Very disappointed. Ordered 4 Oolong milk tea, but they may have only had enough tea for 1-2 cups left. Instead of having the decency to let us know so we can order something else, they mixed water in our drinks to have enough liquid to fill up 4 cups. So now we have 4 cups of water!!! Very upsetting. This location is pretty good, but once you try the same stuff over and over again it gets kind of ill and tiring. On the other hand though, the tiramisu slush and tiramisu bubble tea is AMAZING! To be honest though, my favorite flavor was probably the tiramisu or the regular bubble milk tea. The seats are very soft and comfortable and the table was pretty clean. Nice place. The drinks are decent. I was quite surprised they ran out of waffles. Quite amusing. Since there is a 24 hour pharmacy pretty close by, I would suggest going there to either buy ingredients to make waffles or pre-made waffles coming out of a box you can put in a toaster. This is my first time sitting down there despite living a few blocks away since birth, now this will be a lifelong joke. There's a bunch of bubble tea houses nearby making business ever more difficult through competition...but don't run out of waffles for something that's high margin! read more

I ordered a regular bubble tea and it was okay. The bubbles tasted pretty tasteless and the drink lacked tea flavor. What I really did not like was customer service. I came in and one of the girls at the front was on her phone and she was not paying to any attention if any customers came in. While the other girl sat in the back booth talking on her phone on speaker. First as a customer, no one really to hear loud conversation that can be heard at all corners of the store. I understand that if it is not busy, you may want to be on your phone. But, it is definitely not necessary to put your phone on loudspeaker. read more

If you have store hours, the customers will expect you to be opened accordingly. I got there a little after 10 on Friday and the door was locked. One of the girls was cleaning and when I tried to knock the door, she didn't even turn around to look. I was not the only one who was there. There was another guy trying to get attention of the girl. If you cannot open per the store hours announced at your door, maybe consider change it. read more

Just went there with my 5 year old who was looking forward to having a special treat. We were looking at the menu when my 5 year old told me which one she wanted (a milk bible tea). I said why don't you try the brown sugar tea one and my daughter said ok. In that instant the girl behind the counter said I already made it. I told her we hadn't ordered yet and when I asked for the one she wanted she immediately said we're out. She was clearly lying and I asked what's the difference between them other than brown sugar? The other worker said they were a different milk. I have not done my research to clearly know. I decided just to take it as not to disappoint my child. As we were leaving a lady cane in and ordered the same brown sugar one and they immediately looked at me to see if I heard. It was obvious they had lied. Bad business. I won't be back! The cashier cant tell the difference between hot and cold drinks and puts the blame on the customer and insisting that the customer did not say "hot" drink. Takoyaki overcook. The skin was very hard, almost waffle like and a bit burnt. This affects the overall texture and taste. Also, use japanese mayo and seaweed powder. Compare with real takoyaki and improve. Thanks read more
