Decided to pick up a dessert from this place, located in Astoria, Queens, it's very nice and bright when you walk inside plenty of seats to enjoy a coffee and a treat. I tried the Kataifi . All I can say is that this is definitely the best I've had in this entire area. You can tell baked with fresh good ingredients. Freshly made . I liked the perfect consistency and delicate texture. I was able to take small pieces just with my fork, that's how fresh it was . The cashier was friendly and helpful. Many sweets to try - I look forward sitting and trying another sweets delight and coffee.

I was passing by this cute little new bakery when I realized I hadn't eaten all day. I popped inside because they said on a cute little chalkboard sign that they have borek and who am I to deny that? Turns out, the bakery is Albanian and--for my Muslim friends--their meat is halal! I got a meat borek, an iced coffee, and a chocolate/hazelnut dessert called bajadera. It was so tasty and the borek was delicious and the size of a small toddler. I will absolutely be returning to try more!

Cute cafe, friendly. I enjoyed the avocado toast. Good quality bread. There is also outdoor dining, which is nice in sunny weather.

We loved this little start-up bakery which recently opened up on Ditmars Blvd. Fresh desserts, baklava, custom cakes, cream-filled cupcakes, and so many chocolates filed desserts it was very hard to settle on a few particular selections in the end, we purchased some baklava and chocolate-filled cupcakes, and pastries. Boy were they delicious. Upon returning home everything was consumed within a day. All in all a great success; we will be back. They will give Cakes by Newan a runny for their money which is close by. Wishing Linda every success in her new venture!

    Some sweets in the case!

We came by the day before Mother's Day, so they had pre decorated Mother's Day cakes. You can also place an order. Service is quick and friendly. We initially planned on getting a Strawberry Shortcake, as that seemed to be the cake to get. However, we opted for the Cheesecake, because we were able to add fresh strawberries (and whipped cream) on top! I'm not a fan of whipped cream, so I avoided that, but everyone seemed to enjoy. It had a good creamy texture and was not too sweet. The strawberries were indeed fresh. The pound cake was soft and airy. The vanilla flavor comes through. I will have to try the Marbled version next time! Note: Cash Only! A regular customer ordered the tiramisu cake; said it was the best cake ever, so will have to try that next time!

A friend recommended it to me, and I've already ordered two birthday cakes from here. The tiramisu cake was absolutely delicious, honestly one of the best I've ever had. I didn't even know you could customize a tiramisu cake since it's usually served the traditional way, but they made it exactly how I wanted. As someone who loves tiramisu, this really stood out. I also ordered a strawberry shortcake, and it was just as impressive. The buttercream was so good , light, flavorful, and not overly sweet. Everyone loved it, and there wasn't a single slice left. The owner's son (I believe) was super helpful, he really takes the time to understand what you want and brings it to life perfectly. I've also tried their croissants, which are huge and delicious, and the hero bread is excellent too. Just a heads-up: they only accept cash.I'll definitely be ordering all my cakes from here moving forward!

It's charming inside and quintessentially Queens - walking in, you get a sense that this was a family-started business. The pandesal was yummy, authentic, fluffy and hit the mark when I was having the craving. The worker was super nice, too and there are a few tables for you and a few friends to sit around and eat the goodies. There's a fridge full of cakes and other desserts, too. I think you could probably preorder a cake if you're an ube fan and get it for your birthday or other special event. Would love any good suggestions! On a weekend early evening around 5pm and they seemed to have most items in stock. From other reviews seems like they're known for their ube cheese pandesal, ube cake, mango cake, pan de coco and pork asada bun. I picked up a torte Cebuana $3.25 and pan de coco $1.50. The former tasted similar to a pound cake in cupcake-like form, sprinkled on top with fine sugar. The latter was a sweet bun with shredded coconut that tasted sweetened with palm sugar. It had a lovely fragrant coconut flavor and was tasty though a tad too sweet for me. The store itself isn't big, a pretty casual set up with seating for maybe 12-15 at cafe tables. The back counter is where baked goodies are displayed, a fridge on the right contains chilled drinks and full-sized cakes which looked made to order. On the left side of the store are some Filipino grocery items on shelves. Staff was friendly and helped answer a couple questions I had about ingredients, (or asked other staff what they didn't know). If I was in the area I'd come back to try a few other items.

In short, do not take the flan cheesecake to go as it does not travel well at all, even if it's for a short distance. Simply enjoy it inside the cafe instead :).

In actuality they are two of my favorite desserts and they combine them really well here - the cheesecake is on the creamier side and goes well with the lighter flan texture. They do a great cafe con leche here and most of their drinks seem to be good quality. There is seating, but they ask you to limit your time during busy hours so other patrons can enjoy. The actual cake bases of both types were moist and flavorful. I could've gone with a little less frosting and more cake, but it made for a very aesthetically pleasing topping with the vibrant colors, sprinkles, and glitter. I kept getting strong hints of rose flavor from the pink frosting on the chocolate cupcakes so I'm not sure if they infused it with that.
