Hmm? I could have sworn that I had a review on this business when I got my new glasses (regular and sunglasses) back in February 2018. Oh, well... Optometrist Review: 5 Stars. Easy appointment set up. Nice staff. I had the high end vision test done. This test looked at, and photographed, the "inside" of the eye. And reveals any abnormalities. A pretty cool test that I think everyone should get every 3 to 5 years. I could have made an appointment for the same day. But, I elected to do it a day, or 2, later. Since I knew I needed a new scrip, I got there early, so I could choose my new frames as well. Frames & Lens Review: When I walked in, I was pleasantly surprised by the selection of frames that they have to choose from. I was greeted almost immediately by a very nice sales lady (Sorry. I don't remember her name). I told her that I need a new scrip for my eyes and figured that I might as well get new frames, too. I was fortunate that they had a 2 for 1 Sale going on. And, this saved me about $180.00. 8-) I don't remember if I had to pay separately, or if it was all together. But, regardless, I felt that I got a good deal. In some reviews, I read that the customer had to wait a while before being serviced by a technician. But, for me, I've been here 4-5 times for adjustments, or reinstalling a popped out lens (including today, when I accidentally sat on my glasses, bending the frames, and popping out both lens), and have never waited longer than 2 minutes. And, usually, it's almost as soon as I walk up to the service desk. read more

First I was on time for my appointment I had done all the paperwork online after receiving 3-4 requests to do this before arriving for my appointment. I was given a iPad and ask to fil out the paperwork of which I replied I had done it online. The girl said oh well that information doesn't transfer to us. Then why do you insist on me doing it online. Next both ladies seem like they were irritated at being there. Next I was taken to the exam room and a man entered the room dressed like he was going to a park with his family. He had nothing on that said he was the doctor. He sat down and began talking to which I said who are you? He said I'm Dr Keller. I said then when you came in the room you should introduce yourself and greet your patients. He said well I'm having a bad morning and he began explaining. To me as a patient it doesn't matter what kind of day you're having you should always be professional. The only person that seemed happy and have good customer service was the young lady on the side where you pick your glasses. The girl that checked me in never ask me for my last prescription for my glasses and when the doctor ask me about what my new prescription would be he went by some information the young lady put on my chart without even checking. He said oh it's ok I'm sure it hasn't changed that much. Poor service won't be going back. Unless I can't see out of my new glasses. read more

You just lost a customer. I had an appointment for an eye exam scheduled today at noon. When I walked in, the receptionist told me that the doctor was completely booked and that I wouldn't be able to be seen. She said they have been trying to call me and leaving voicemails. I haven't checked my voicemails so that is on me. But i have been receiving reminder texts and emails. The most recent email I received was at 9am this morning confirming my appointment. I showed the email to her and she could care less. Doctor is booked and can't see you. But they could schedule me something for mid February. I don't think so! I'll give my $800 to someone else. This place is a joke. Here's one piece of advice. If you have to cancel an appointment because you overbooked yourself, TURN OFF THE TEXT AND EMAIL ALERTS. Don't waste someone's time. This office is extremely unprofessional. I had to call to get any information on my contact trials and I've waited a month and a half. They were not willing to give me a pair that was close to my prescription to hold me over and every time I called I was told I would get a call back and never did. They were always "too busy" to handle it then and wouldn't ask the DR while I was on the phone. read more

The company receptionist said that cooperate told them to cancel all appointments that they weren't able to confirm with a phone call. Sarah was of huge help to me, in getting my new glasses correctly made. She pulled up my previous order and gave very specific directions to the lab, who then did a great job of creating the new glasses and sunglasses. I had ordered new glasses at 2 other optical places, both of which produced a poor product which I then had to refund. Thank you for the excellent service. read more

Before COVID, the service was excellent. The last time I visited their location, I was happy with the service. Now it's hard to get in contact with a representative. The online option to schedule an appointment sometimes does not work properly. Wish there was a text reminder for the appointment made. But the kicker is....walked over to check in and as I stood in front of the desk the receptionist was passed out asleep with her head on the desk. Always under staffed and over busy. The doctors side is great and has you in and out but the glasses side is awful. Ann Rice the Licensed General Manager is beyond rude. If you don't know the eye glass insurance lingo she will make you feel like an idiot. I understand everyone has their days but every time I interact with her it's awful. I know you guys are busy but treat your clients with some respect! Then when I go to pick up my glasses they can't find them anywhere. I go to my car and come back and they are magically there. I was told to be at the store by 3pm to have my lenses cut since that's when the lab tech leaves for the day. So I show up at 230 and the girl behind the counter just laughs and says the tech went home early for the day. DON'T TELL CUSTOMERS A CERTAIN TIME IF YOUR EMPLOYEES ARE LAZY AND CAN'T STAY FOR THEIR SCHEDULED SHIFT. Now I have to wait until another two days since apparently they are not working tomorrow. Covid is not an excuse to provide terrible customer service. I used to love coming here but after covid it seems like the staff is just careless. There's always miscommunication on every end. When you go in for an appointment they don't even greet you and talk to you during their phone call as they are verifying the insurances for other customers. Create a new flow that allows you to put your customers first instead of making those who have waited weeks to months for appointment to wait even longer while they're in office. read more

I would like to update my review. I was contacted by District Manager, Terry, regarding the issues I encountered at the Goodyear location. Terry apologized and assured me this is not how Visionworks does business and this situation does not represent Visionworks mission, values, or beliefs. Terry sent me to the Arrowhead mall location. The manager Tommy and the rest of the staff at the Arrowhead location were absolutely amazing - The experience I encountered at the Arrowhead mall location was 360 from what I experienced at the Goodyear location.Terry was amazing and went FAR ABOVE AND BEYOND to rectify the situation. Didn't make it through the door. Staff waited until right before my appointment to verify my benefits then told me that I didn't have any because I used my vision exam this year. Come to find out they billed my husbands exam under me. No apology - just the excuse that they are short staffed. Don't go here. The staff are completely inept. read more

It was my first time here. My eye exam went pretty smooth. The doctor answered my questions. The problem was at the glasses section. I ordered my pair of glasses and when I went to pick them up I noticed that the lens was really thick. I paid extra for the thin lens like I've always had in the past. I have a strong prescription, so this is important to me. The only explanation I got was that the lens I chose can't be made any thinner. Which to me doesn't make sense because I chose the most expensive lens. Anyway, I asked for a refund. I was expecting more of this place. Now I have to wait another month because they have to refund my insurance. read more

I received a voice message stating that my contacts were in. The location is a ways away from my office so I decided to stop in on the weekend. There were only 2 people in the glasses/contacts section and a number of customers waiting to be helped. There was no sign-in sheet so they weren't sure who arrived first. I was asked for my name and what I was there for and then I was asked to take a seat and wait. This means that all of the other individuals that had stopped in before me, whether they were there to have their glasses repaired or to buy a new pair of glasses and/or were there to pick up would have to wait. Once they were finished with one customer, they went around and asked a customer if he/she arrived before another customer to figure out who to help first. After I saw this, I realized how long it would take to retrieve my contacts that I had already paid for and left because my toddler and husband were waiting in the car. Picking up contacts should take no more than 5 minutes at the most. It should be a quick in and out service, but not at Visonworks. Might I suggest a sign-in sheet so that you know which customer arrived prior to the others and what the customer is in for? This would help you prioritize your customers so that the waiting area isn't as crowded. read more

I am giving one star because that's the lowest I can go. Spoke on the phone was told to come in 30 minutes early to fill out insurance information or do it online. I chose to show up early and did show up at least 30 minutes early. There were two girls at the front desk, super nice and helpful. While we were working on the insurance the doctor came out and eyed me down, I thought maybe he thought he knew me, but I was wrong he was mad that I hadn't done the paperwork before I showed up. He said they wouldn't take my insurance, I said that's fine I can just pay cash. He gave me the meanest look, as if he hated me. The most unprofessional doctor I have ever been around in my life and I'm 63. There was also another lady waiting on cantata who was upset they were taking so long. Worst experience ever, I left and went somewhere else. I have tried to figure out why this guy acted like this, all I could come up with was that it was close to time to go home. I've been to other locations and have been treated great. I didn't get mad or treat him as rudely, just left. Poor guy, maybe he needs a different job where he doesn't deal with people. I felt sorry for the girls in front, I'm sure this wasn't the first time he acted like this. This is the first time I have ever gave anybody a bad review. First let me say the Doctor was kind and amazing. He listened to my vision issues. I give him 5 stars! Now for the female staff. My husband was given attitude when he wanted sunglasses. He was told they can't even though for the last 20 yrs he has been getting the same kind at lens crafters with no issue. I just shrugged it off that she may have been having a bad day. Today I went back for my contact follow up. She brought me in and knew I had an appointment. Once I was done with the provider I went to the front to get my prescription. She asked me not even 15 mins later if I had an appointment with a stern attitude. Even though she just helped me. I asked for my prescription and she asked if I was ordering when I said no. Her response was you do know you have coverage right, like I was stupid and didn't know what I have. I just said no thank you and received more attitude along with eye rolls. I won't be going back due to the attitude from her. I'm not the only person she has done this too. While waiting outside the store to open three other people said they had the same issues of attitude. One guy even said she will bite your head off even if you just try to make an appointment. The doctor was great but since I have to deal with her I will NOT be going back! read more

I came here for my prescription and an eye exam which I paid about 100$ for. I didn't have the money up front for an exam, and a new pair of glasses, so I held off on the glasses (which I really needed) until I could save some cash. I found out that I could get the same quality glasses online for cheaper, which of course why wouldn't anybody want to save some money. The problem for me was I couldn't figure out how to order with my prescription online so I thought that maybe if I went back to visionworks they'd kindly help me. The lady was so rude and literally looked at me like I had two heads. She was very unhelpful and made me feel stupid and pretty much wasted my time. like I understand you're a business and you probably don't want to help me give someone else my money for the same service, but unfortunately I don't have a couple hundred dollars to drop on some frames right now. I really don't think that it was that big of a deal to help somebody out and for that reason alone I will never come back to this vision works. You don't treat people like that. read more
