I had an awesome experience at LensCrafters in Surprise!…read more About two months ago, I had an issue with the fishing wire on my semi-rimless glasses. I took them to another optical department for a repair, but they told me they didn't have the correct length of wire and had to rig the repair. Afterward, the frames never felt quite right. Today, I noticed the wire was actually hanging out from the top of my frame. I first stopped at another optical center in Surprise that I knew did repairs, but they told me they wouldn't repair frames that weren't purchased from their location. So I went to LensCrafters in Surprise -- and what a difference! From the moment I walked in, the team was friendly, welcoming, and completely confident that they could fix my glasses. Keep in mind, this was only about an hour and a half before closing. Ricardo told me, "I'll take care of your glasses. Just give me about an hour." I ran a few errands, and before long I received a call saying my glasses were ready. When I returned, Ricardo explained that he had straightened the frames and installed all-new wire. I put them on, and they felt fantastic -- comfortable, straight, and sitting perfectly on my face. I asked what I owed them, and they wouldn't accept payment. I was told it's LensCrafters' policy to provide these types of repairs at no charge. The confidence, friendliness, and willingness to help really impressed me. Awesome job, Ricardo and the entire LensCrafters team! You earned a very happy customer!

But not at Primera Vista optical, as soon as I walked through the door I was pleasantly greeted, my time was a priority to them as well as my health and vision. The staff at Primera Vista was helpful from the very start and once it was time for the exam I was introduced to the doctor where again I was pleasantly greeted. She was absolutely amazing, spent the time to really hone down my eye sight to near perfect while explaining every detail why my eye sight was the way it was. The actual HONEST level of care you expect from a doctor. After the exam I returned to the Primera Vista's lobby to try on some frames just to get an idea of what I was looking for, not expecting to purchase anything at that moment because in the past I usually ordered them online but in doing so you never really know if they fit right or look good. Not once was I attacked by Primera Vista's staff or felt pressured into buying anything but, with so many frame options I decided to ask for an outside opinion. Primera Vista's whole staff helped me with their honest input on what looked good on me and what fit well. It really helped me find a frame I was confident with and felt confident in. When I asked the price expecting some outrageous number to a pleasant surprise it was around the same price as online and I will get my glasses so much faster plus I actually know I like the frames. The experience was so incredible I just had to share it with everyone as I wish more places would treat their patients like this. Primera Vista took great care of me and If you want to have this same experience, I highly recommend Primera Vista Optical.

Extremely disappointing experience at Southwestern Eye Center…read more I waited over 45 minutes past my appointment time without a single apology or any real explanation. Every time I asked what was going on, I was told "5 more minutes"--over and over again. Those 5 minutes turned into nearly an hour. What made it worse was the lack of basic courtesy and communication. No one came to update me, no one acknowledged the delay, and no effort was made to respect my time. If you're running behind, the least you can do is be honest and apologize. Patients plan their day around appointments, and this kind of service is unacceptable for a medical office. I would not recommend this place if you value your time or expect professional treatment.

We did not feel rushed at all. He paused for questions. So, this was a very good interaction. The clinic itself was modern and clean with vibrant colors and decor. I loved the curved white couches. I had a very disappointing experience with Horizon Eye Specialists. Not only are their glasses…read moreprices extremely high compared to other places, but I was also shocked by the cost of the eye exam. I was charged $174.00, which is far more than I've ever paid before, typically, my exams have been around $65. As a senior citizen living on Social Security and Medicare, these kinds of unexpected and excessive charges are especially difficult to manage. There was no clear explanation for the inflated pricing, and I left feeling like I was being taken advantage of. For something as routine as an eye exam and glasses, this level of cost feels unreasonable. I will definitely be sharing my experience with friends at my senior center so they can be aware. I would not recommend this place if you're looking for fair and transparent pricing. Serena, the manager at the Goodyear location, just called me. She explained that the charge for 104.00 was for my Medicare deductible. She said she would double check the charge for me and that in the future she would tell her staff to better explain the charges. I am very impressed that she took the time to address my concerns. I will amend my post. I am happy with my glasses and my eye exam was very thorough and the doctor was very nice.
