She explained every detail my insurance benefits/eligibility that I was able to decide what I can consider on choosing the best eyeglasses for me! They do have special deals for VSP but I ended up picking a nice pair I so far love! It was handpicked by Kaylyn as she saw me having trouble looking for good match/fit with the style I want! Just the detailed explanation of everything they offer is a great way to start as I have made an informed decision. They also take affirm and care credit payments if customers choose to! I'll update once I get my eyeglasses . First visit---love! They're next to Master Eye Associates! I do not recommend this place. I bought a pair of glasses with them. I found the glasses a little weird when I picked they up, but I thought I wasn't used to them, but a few days later I discovered that the left lens is deformed, so when I move my eyes at that point, the image get distorted. I came back to the store and explained the problem. They first tried to convince me that the issue was in my vision and that I should go back to the doctor and ask for an exam. I said it was not true because I have other pair of glasses and it doesn't reproduces with it. Then, they asked me for the glasses and cleaned it and told me they have adjusted it. That was in front of me. Three minutes, in the store. They do not have tools to repair a lens. I even doubt that's repairable, it must be replaced, but they tried to trick me. At the end, the attendant told she couldn't do anything and I should come back another day to speak with the manager, but I didn't. Their behavior is not acceptable and I would just spend my time and my nerves coming back. I hope it helps others to not have the same experience. read more

What's wrong with the staff at this Visionworks location? Staff is unprofessional, both Sonya Kelley (at the desk) and Margaret Franco (store manager). I am wondering if they know how to work with VSP insurance? No, they don't know how to do it. I've been to this Visionworks location twice, both times with the same question, both time I am so surprised with unprofessional and rude communication. I have a VSP insurance and I wanted to buy Lacoste L967S Sunglasses. For VSP insurance if a customer had LASIK surgery (which I had), VSP will discount 150 USD off the sunglasses. So I clearly and politely described my case and gave my driver license, document proving LASIK surgery and my VSP insurance. After me patiently and politely waiting for 30 minutes, Sonya Kelley tried to fill some forms at iPad and finally told me "I don't do that (VSP benefit) here". Also she said she can't apply a VSP coupon, published on visionworks.com for an unknown to me reason. Surprise! I am VSP customer who came to a VSP authorized provider Visionworks, but Sonya Kelley doesn't know how file that with VSP. As a customer, you would probably expect from the staff an answer like; - "Let me figure it how to do it!", - "Let me call my manager, support line or VSP and I will figure it out" or - "Excuse me, I am not able to help you right now, do you mind if I call you tomorrow once I figure it out?" But none of that was given because... the reason is Sonya Kelley doesn't do VSP here. When I started to ask why she can't do that, and if she might not do it, Visionworks is still and authorized VSP provider, she asked me to leave. And said to me in a manner like if I wanted to steal something from the store "Oh, I remember you, you came with the same question before and you thought I wouldn't remember you?" Say what? I should think twice before coming to Visionworks to buy sunglasses? So let me know, please what's wrong with the staff at this Visionworks location? This is by far the worst place to get prescription glasses in Texas! My husband was trying to get prescription glasses, so he came over and picked the frame. It took them three weeks for the glasses to be ready. We came to pick them up and there were mulfunction in the frames, so they told us to come back in another 2-3 weeks to get the new glasses. We were told that if there's gonna be an issue next time, they'll issue us a refund. When we came back 2 weeks later to pick up the "fixed" glasses, there was the same issue with that pair. The refund was supposedly issued. It's been over 2 weeks now, we didn't get the refund and it's impossible to get through to any store respresentative! Extemely disappointed with this location. read more

When I walked in I had to wait a few minutes as everyone was busy. The lady on the phone she would be with me in a minute. When finished with the call she apologized and thanked me for my patience which I appreciated. Her name was Nelda and she sat me down and ordered me an annual supply of contact lenses along with a rebate. She put together an envelope for me and explained everything in simple terms and we shared a jubilant laugh at how great the deal I was getting was. If every transaction in life were like this! Moved here from out of state, where the Visionworks in the mall was great about adjusting my glasses as needed. I was always in and out within 5 minutes, no matter how busy the store was. I do a lot of moving around at work, and noticed lately that my frames are beginning to fall off my face after prolonged activity. Time for an adjustment, right? We were already at the mall, early this afternoon. Both employees were working with other clients, so a small wait was understandable. After getting one lady's attention, we were told they'd be ready to adjust for me in 15-20 minutes. Fair enough, we'll walk around. We return, where this time, we're not acknowledged. One of the employees is clearly on the phone in front of us, but not having a conversation, and DESPERATELY avoiding eye contact with us. Another couple walks up, inquiring about an adjustment. "It's only us right now; you'll have to give us 15-20 minutes," says the other employee. Which is exactly what you told us, twenty minutes ago. The other couple asks if there's a waiting list, so that they don't come back for no reason. No, no waiting list. I'm not waiting 40 minutes for an adjustment that takes seconds, and will be looking elsewhere to do future business. read more

Went to Visionworks Lakeline with a new prescription because they were listed on my insurance plan. It was the absolute best experience I've had when purchasing eyewear. Robert helped me through the process and I ended up with a great-looking pair of frames and also bought prescription sunglasses for the first time ever. I love them. The glasses were ready for pickup sooner than promised. I've been back a couple of times for adjustments and the people there are extremely friendly and ready to help. I highly recommend seeing Robert because I had such a great experience but, honestly, everyone there is extremely helpful and friendly. I give them five stars only because there isn't a sixth. I ordered a pair of glasses there and when I picked them up the distance vision was like I was looking through a magnifying glass. They redid them and then I couldn't see through the reading glass part. They suggested I change the shape, and they sent them back. They sent in the wrong glasses. Then we decided maybe we should change the shape again and the manager ordered me a pair of glasses. This process has already gone on for a couple of months. After 10 days I still haven't gotten my glasses. I called in to see where they were and they hadn't even been worked on yet. Now we're in to the virus outbreak and they promised that they're going to mail everybody their glasses. Never got them. Now they're just blowing everybody off. They have my money and I have no glasses. read more

I asked what time they opened and the gentleman said 10am "however you can come as early as 9:30 and we will open the gate to give you the glasses. I'm here now and the employee is unwilling to open the gate and give me the glasses "until we're open". This is even after I told him about the phone conversation. I went to vision works at Lake line mall during the last week of December because my frames I purchased were broken. Deandre or Demetrius, cannot remember his name was on duty and he took my frames matched it with an a similar one. He is a big guy but was most gentle in Popping out my progressive lenses and and in putting them back into the new frames and had me on my way with in 30 minutes. He and all his associates on duty that day were very attentive and friendly. Great team work. read more

My glasses came in early - surprise! Went this morning when they 1st opened and no one else was there. Just one clerk working, as usual. Fortunately, my glasses were correct this time. Husband had his glasses adjusted correctly - with a tool vs. man-handling them like the last clerk. I think the lady's name was Elisa...she was awesome. Husband found a pair of sunglasses and we purchased those. Still have not been contacted by mgmt after responding to their post twice. Really poor business model this place has. My spouse and I spent a couple of hours at a local Visionworks store this past weekend. We've shopped there almost exclusively for years under the EyeMasters and now Visionworks name. I do not expect that patronage to continue. I felt absolutely gouged. We left the store upset and very angry with the virtual bait and switch of their offerings. We are pretty basic folks. We don't look for crazy, name brand frames or anything too crazy on the lenses. We both wear progressives. My wife wanted one pair of regular glasses on on pair of sunglasses. Despite having insurance and Visionworks heavy promotions all over the windows and banners around the store proclaiming 2 for $69 on progressives, the clerk had the stones to try to charge over $600 out of pocket for her glasses. We are talking a 10x increase over their promotion. What's worse, he claimed that the cost was actually $1200 without insurance. Had I added my own needs to the tab, it would have doubled. We're talking about $2400+ for glasses. Crazy!! To be fair, we didn't pick the right frames for the promotion but as I said, they were fairly generic, nothing special. It is also true that the lenses quoted were better than the plastic lenses offered in the promotion. My problem is not that we were to pay more than the price used as an obvious ploy to bring folks into the store. My problem is the scale of the escalated pricing they attempted to push onto me and all the other folks walking into their stores. IMO, they should be ashamed of themselves. I know that some lens treatments such has anti-glare or polarization have a real cost and I fully expect to pay for that. The ridiculous mark up they are putting on that is really beyond any claim of reasonableness. I don't mind them or anyone making an honest profit. What they are doing is not honest, in my opinion. I am disappointed and I'm angry. My recommendation? Go somewhere else. I'm switching to online options... read more

This review is not just for this location but also includes the location in College Station. I have been wearing glasses for 35 years and the glasses I now have from Visionworks is the worst pair of glasses that I have ever owned. I say that even after they had to remake them one time because they didn't add the scratch resistance to one lens. I have NEVER had my glasses scratched like that pair got so to their credit, thy replaced the lenses. Unfortunately I traded one problem for another. Within a couple of weeks of having the glasses, one of the lenses cracked right next to the joint by the ear piece. I have NEVER had a pair of glasses with a cracked lens in 35 years. I am VERY careful with my glasses and always keep them clean and scratch free. Not only are they cracked but they also have spots that like a chemical spill on the lenses. This is simply the poorest workmanship I have ever experienced in a pair of glasses and not once but twice from two different locations. This location has some nice folks that work their but customer service is NOT part of their routine, they avoid eye contact and take FOREVER to help you. Once you get their help they were fine from my experience, but why put up with that when there are so many other places to go. In the long run, this place is NOT cheaper though they try to make you believe so in their advertising. Take my advice, I have dealt with a LOT of glasses shops over the last 35 years, AVOID Visionwork's! As you see, the Business Customer Service commented on this review by asking me to contact them directly. What a hollow and empty effort on their part. As you see on the left, you can send a message to any commentor directly under their name. They HAVE NOT contacted me directly or even given me an email to contact them directly on. Obviously they want to 'look' like they care but with no contact information and not contacting me directly, they don't really want to hear from me only to give an appearance of caring. I was there on September 2nd with every intention of buying glasses and ended up walking away. I found the glasses that I wanted but when it came time to buy them the salesperson, either could not or refused to explain the costs in the price she quoted me. Their final price after insurance was about $70 more expensive than what I calculated. When asked about the price difference all I was told was "because that's what the computer says." Frustrated, I left and went to another Visionworks who actually broke down and explained each option and cost. I ended up paying about $40 less than what was quoted at the first location for the same pair of glasses. Remember to do your research and don't take the first price at face value! Selection was great so that's why they get two stars instead of one. I will not be going back there again. read more

Horrible Customer Service!!! 1 star is only because Yelp requires at least 1 star. I had been looking all over for glasses, finally found the perfect frame in visionworks in Lakeline mall. After patiently waiting for one specialist to stock a shelf and another only spoke to the older white couple that walked in after me I was able to purchase $800 worth of eyewear. Took 10 days to get glasses back. Once I received them I couldn't see clearly. I told the store "specialist", he basically was like give it a day first. Ummmm, what difference does a day make, but I was compliant and wore them a day and still unfocused view. Brought them back and now it would be another 10 days for adjustments. "Specialist" said we will call you when there ready. 2 weeks later I called they said no there not ready we will call you when there ready, basically don't bother us. 4 weeks later I called back and some nasty person on 9-2-15 @ 4:13pm stated yeah there ready, I responded with no one called they hung up in my face. If this facility has some type of management please do some customer service training. That location is not so busy you all can't be polite or keep up with incoming prescriptions. If it is fire all those trifling people and start over. read more

My wife's glasses had busted so we were frantically trying to replace them. She went to the eye doctor for an exam to get a prescription. Then the hunt began for frames. We tried a few places before coming across Visionworks. They just so happened to be having a BOGO free promotion going on. We thought this was great. I could get the second free pair. My glasses had already broken months back but I wear contacts all the time anyways. Although, I was in need of glasses for when I wanted to give my eyes a rest from contacts, especially when my allergies are acting up. I forget what brand she chose, I went with Guess. She loved the colorful pattern on the arms of her frames. She has a stigmatism so they were going to take up to 10 days to be ready.... Mine I was told could be ready that same day. It sucked that she was the one who needed them badly and had to wait so long. I never received a phone call about mine... I called a few days later and was told they were ready. Um Ok, thanks for the heads up. I think I was more anxious then she was for hers to be ready. I called once again closer to the 10 day mark asking about her glasses. I was told.. "Oh they were just finished." Hmmmm interesting. Great timing on my part????? We had both gone in for fittings at different times and our experiences were the same. Now that they had our money, they looked bored with us and gave us the impression we were bothering them. Asking for frame adjustments was like pulling teeth. They have poor customer service. I was told on the phone that they could tell me my diopter from my existing glasses and would do so for no charge. This would enable me to get some swimming goggles that would help me see while swimming. When I arrived at the store, I was then informed that they would not do it, and that I needed to see a doctor for a prescription. I wouldn't have minded if that was what they had told me on the phone. I will be getting my next set of glasses elsewhere. read more

I have had to return to Visionworks to have my RX on my glasses done several times due to a difficult eye situation I have. They have always tried to work with me with patience and understanding and have remade the lens without any hesitation. Even when they are busy with clients, they try and get to you ASAP and direct you to what you may be looking for in the mean time. David H. Has waited on me several of those times and went the extra mile to make sure everything could be checked to get the alignments correct, etc. and was super friendly. He directed me to Nicole, and she was very helpful and personable to work with on making my selections for glass's and lenses and explaining my insurance options.
