Boy what a day today was! I was five minutes away from the pflugerville location when I realized I was headed to the wrong location! But it was truly a life saver coming here. I received a courtesy call from Chloe when I was running behind. When I arrived I received a very smooth pre screening with Ana who was very knowledgeable and kind! Very quickly I was called in to Dr. Patels office! He provided a very thorough exam! He was very honest about my visual needs and recommendations. I appreciate how skilled and honest he was. This entire team really made my experience pleasurable and quick! I will be back for my next eye exam!!!

Recently I had to get an eye exam in Austin for the first time in a few years. I came here because I saw the good reviews and it is really close to my house so I figured I'd give it a shot. The office here is super tiny. The entrance door is to the right of the Costco door. I paid out of pocket since I don't have eye insurance. I paid $208 for the contact/glasses exam, the eye scan photography thing they do, and the contact fitting. The first session I had was with Monica. She did great and was very sweet. Unfortunately, I went home with 3 different prescriptions and wasn't very sure which one was the prescription I should buy contacts based off of. I called and scheduled another appt with a new doctor, Dr Carneglia. He was very clear and was able to help with the actual prescription I needed. Overall, I had a pleasant experience and everyone I came into contact with here was very kind!

Dr. T and her staff were thorough, courteous, and friendly! Great experience at Great Hills!

Top notch care. Never rushed. You can feel the care here. The staff is excellent. They usually have same day appointments and you'll don't have to be a member of Costco to get their affordable exam rates!

Dr. Carneglia volunteering to help Harvey evacuees with a pair of prescription contacts, so they can get back on their feet. Gift of sight.

Dr. Do was wonderful. The front two receptionists just ruined the whole experience for me. They were aloof and not friendly.

I have zero experience with glasses and contacts so I did not know where to go and chose Texan Eye Care where I felt they did a thorough job. Needing a checkup a year later, I started reading reviews and Look+See had the highest ratings on Yelp and Google in the '04 area, plus I live right around the corner, so it was a no brainer. I thought Texan Eye care did a thorough job, but Look+See exceeded my expectations. Being equipped with the latest technology, they conducted several eye scans as well as eye tests and I felt comfortable with every member I engaged with. Dr. Bailey was easy to talk to and I appreciated that he talked to me in layman's terms. Thankfully, I do not need more than prescription readers so I purchased a very stylish and affordable pair from their clinic and I'm actually looking forward to wearing them.

Visiting Dr. Tran has improved my life ten-fold. Going in, I knew I had a condition where my eyes…read moredon't work together which causes annoying headaches after a long day of working at a screen. I was told by a previous doctor that vision therapy classes were the only way to help my condition and I did not have great success keeping frequent appointments that were expensive and didn't really work for me. I was blown away when Dr. Tran not only knew exactly what condition I had (convergence insufficiency), but told me about a new technology in glasses that could help me INSTANTLY with no classes. She got me fitted for Neurolens glasses and I will never go back to anything else. These glasses have prism technology that focuses both eyes on the same point so that they can work together - no more losing my place every time I look from one screen to the other. No more re-reading paragraphs in books because I lose my place every 2 minutes. And most importantly - I've had these glasses for over a year and NO MORE HEADACHES after working at my computer all day! I do research and data analysis for a living so being able to sit and read at my computer is a must. My only complaint is that now I get fewer steps in because I can sit and focus on my work and don't feel the urge to get up 100 times (yes vision issues can share a lot of the same symptoms as ADHD and for some reason we do zero vision testing in schools - just eye sight - I have 20/20 corrected eyesight in each eye, but my vision issue -eyes not working together- would have never been picked up in a routine eye exam). Sadly, like many things that work and actually make us feel better - insurance does not yet cover effective treatment for vision issues like convergence insufficiency to include Neurolens. However, these glasses were worth every penny. HSA money can also be used to cover these, which is incredibly helpful. I am eternally grateful to have met Dr. Tran. I've never met anyone more knowledgeable on vision issues and she is 100% the kindest doctor. She never appears to be in a rush and actually listens to what you say. She takes the time to explain everything, which a nerd like me appreciates. I am so thankful that she chooses to work in a practice that can offer Neurolens and that she made this technology available to me. Game changer!

The last time I visited I had a different doctor whose last name was Tran. She had great Google reviews but my experience with her told me a different story. This place lost the two customers on that day.

I seriously have never had an eye exam like this before. The technician (Alejandra) who assisted was professional, kind, and caring just like Dr. Shah. The front end staff are phenomenal. Shoutout to Amy and Comet at the front desk. The office manager, Rubi is so sweet and her customer service is excellent. Speaking of excellent customer service, April is stellar! She helped me with insurance processing, picking out just the right frames, and getting me all the bells and whistles without any hardcore upselling (I despise going to places for an eye exam where they make you feel almost forced to buy frames from them). I've never felt more at home or been out more at ease. I had some concerns about my right eye and Dr. S. astounded me with her knowledge and again, care. And unless my memory is failing, his father (Dr. Mitchel Wong) treated my mother's cataracts in the 1980s. I have always been impressed by the state-of-the-art skills and equipment Austin Eye maintains. I'm also impressed that the Wongs have chosen to share their expertise by endowing an eye institute at the University of Texas at Austin. My most recent personal experience with Austin Eye was surgery for lens replacement. While some have derided the facility on Bee Caves Rd as factory-like, I would counter that with the fact that consistent good practices yield consistently good results. I felt well cared for throughout the process, and the results (my excellent recovery and visual acuity) speak for themselves. In the event there had been any problems, I was given Dr. Wong's direct cell number and email. The Austin Eye facility is beautiful, modern, and well-maintained. The same may be said of the older location along Jollyville Rd. I highly recommend Austin Eye for their expertise, state-of-the-art equipment set, and very positive and helpful office staff.

It's a win, win! Most of their frames are only $95, including lenses. Others go up to &175, which is still affordable. Today I went in for my yearly eye exam and to pick out a new pair of glasses. They took me right on time and gave me the eye exam, which was covered under my insurance. The optician was friendly and personable. Unfortunately, the note in my insurance said that I had already used my eyeglass allowance.and was not eligible for a new pair until December. This was a problem with my insurance, and they urged me to call for resolution. So this time I did not choose a new pair, which is always a daunting task to choose from their wide variety of attractive frames. In the past, they've had a lot of patience helping me decide. I took advantage of their fun Photo Booth, which takes 3 shots against a colorful background. Warby Parker is always a pleasant shopping experience. Their eyewear consultants are always helpful, assisting in picking out frames; I'm usually very indecisive and need their expert guidance in choosing the best look. Before I left, Nadia the salesperson offered to clean my glasses (which really needed it!), and they tightened the frames. So I felt like I had a new pair of glasses!

The optometrist was nice and did her job. They schedule you an appointment for next year. I like that you get a digital copy of your prescription which because of exorbitant prices I took the rx elsewhere. It's not a bad location, easy to get to. I still think Austin did us dirty by charging for parking in SoCo. Not Warby Parker's fault thought.
